I had fried chicken for lunch, but then my junior colleague said they wanted to eat yakitori, so let's go! But it's my job to find the restaurant... The texture of the parent chicken is irresistible. The Cochin chicken is also firm and delicious. "Nakagawa Shoten" is a street-style alley located southwest of Nankai Nihonbashi Station, to the west of Kuromon Market, where various shops are gathered. It reopened on November 1, 2022, with a large red torii gate and lanterns as landmarks. When you pass through the gate and open the door, you'll feel a nostalgic atmosphere. The shops include "Maguro Ittetsu" standing sushi, "Uo-Hachi Shoten" seafood izakaya, "Mama Shokudo" Korean cuisine, "Bonkura-ya" okonomiyaki, "Trattoria Bambino" seafood Italian, "Ko-Tetsu" hormone yakiniku, "Ko-Tetsu" kushikatsu, and more. When you order from other shops, the staff will bring it to you. Here, you can enjoy various brands of chicken at reasonable prices. Some menu items include "Golden Yukke" for 580 yen, made with Ise Akadori chicken that is raised slowly for 80 days with wood vinegar added to the feed to eliminate the unique smell of chicken, "Sashimi Assortment of 3" for 780 yen, featuring momo-tataki, breast, liver, and gizzard made with Ise Akadori chicken, "Nagoya Cochin Straw-grilled" for 980 yen, giving a smoky flavor with binchotan charcoal, "Seared Liver" for 180 yen (limited quantity), and "Salt Tsukune" for 160 yen. Don't forget to check their Instagram, Ameba blog, and Google Maps for more information. #Makotori #Tora-me Yokocho #Yakitori #Izakaya #Ise Akadori #Nagoya Cochin #Namba Yakitori #Namba Izakaya #Namba Gourmet #Osaka #Osaka Izakaya #Osaka Gourmet #Foodies #Morning Run #Running #Connect with Running Enthusiasts #Kobe Marathon #Okayama Marathon #Strength Training #Female Bodybuilding #Gold's Gym"

○Night Yakitori and Drinking in Osaka Minami Ura Namba○
For a night of yakitori and drinks, head to "Mukotsu Niwatori Torame Yokocho-ten" located in Torame Yokocho in Ura Namba. Torame Yokocho is located on the west side of the Ajien Building. This place has a similar atmosphere to the old popular food stall villages! In addition to the yakitori restaurant we visited, Torame Yokocho also has 9 other food stalls offering sushi, yakiniku, seafood, okonomiyaki, kushikatsu, Korean cuisine, Italian, karaage, and more. It's convenient that you can also order from the menus of other shops! On this day, we enjoyed skewers of yakitori, charcoal-grilled chicken thighs, chicken tsukune nuggets, and pickled celery, among other delicious dishes. The service was good and the yakitori was tasty. However, there were quite a few customers smoking, and the alley itself was lively to the point where it felt a bit too noisy, especially considering the current COVID situation. That was a bit of a concern...(^_^; #2021MemoriesDining #OsakaMinami #UraNamba #NextToAjienBuilding #TorameYokocho

This is a yakitori restaurant located in Tora Megane Yokocho. You can order yakitori from any of the shops here, but I couldn't resist trying the charcoal-grilled parent bird. It's a Miyazaki-style charcoal grill that produces a spectacular flame. The finished dish comes with a generous amount of yuzu pepper. When you try it with the yuzu pepper, it's surprisingly delicious. The yuzu pepper was quite salty, but it tasted great. The prices are reasonable, so I highly recommend it. If you're curious, why not stop by and try it for yourself? Thank you for the meal!

Today we met up at Torame no Shinkotoriga and planned to have a light drink, but as always, we ended up toasting together. The yukke in the photo was incredibly delicious. Please enjoy!

Tora Me Yokocho is a lively alleyway that feels like a popular cafeteria, and after snacking at Uoya Shoten, we moved to the opposite side to try some chicken sashimi. We managed to secure seats at the small counter. We ordered a glass of wine, beer, and chicken sashimi. Then, it was time to strike up a conversation with the young couple next to us. My American partner, being his usual self, was chatting with everyone in the place. The chicken sashimi platter and appetizers of fried chicken and cucumbers were enough to satisfy us. After paying the bill, we continued exploring the backstreets of Namba. Unexpectedly, we ended up drinking together with the young couple next to us and another young couple we met at the next bar until the early hours. Their open-hearted and light-hearted approach to making friends, whether at the beach, a bar, or on the street, was truly impressive.

Hello. This is Shirai Nissan 168. The 510th stop is at Magotoryo. Namba. Magotoryo Yokocho. This Magotoryo Yokocho is like a food court style izakaya where you can order food from different shops and they bring it to you. This time, we went to the yakitori restaurant, Magotoryo. When you enter, you are asked which shop you want to go to. Then, you are explained the system. If you want to eat something from a different shop, you take your number card to that shop and order what you want. Later, the staff will bring the food to you and you pay. Magotoryo Yokocho's explanation became long. Magotoryo is a yakitori restaurant where you order skewers starting from two pieces. The lemon sour is amazing. There is something called "Oichu-hai" where they add more lemon sour to your drink for 180 yen, so with just 1000 yen, you can get pretty drunk. The grilling area is right in front of you, so you can see how the chefs cook, which is nice. It would be nice if the skewers were a bit bigger. No side dishes.

A yakitori restaurant located in the Torame Yokocho in the back streets of Namba, where many great eateries are gathered. It has a nostalgic atmosphere reminiscent of old street stalls. Walking into the stall village again, it feels fresh and new. The place is bustling with people, just like it used to be in the past. The chopsticks come with omikuji (fortunes), adding a fun element to the dining experience. The entrance is marked by a flashy torii gate, and inside, there are nine different shops all in one place. The sashimi is fresh and delicious, and the yakitori is perfectly grilled with just the right amount of sauce. A unique feature of the stall village is that you can order ramen from other shops for delivery. It's such a nostalgic experience to see my subordinates enjoying the ramen delivery, making me wonder if I used to do the same back in the day.

In the backstreets of Namba, a new izakaya spot called Torame Yokomachi has opened. It is an izakaya department store with 9 different shops. I usually ignored it, but since all the other places were full, I decided to check it out for the first time. When I entered, a girl explained the system of Torame Yokomachi to me. She told me that I could sit at any available table and that they would bring the food from any shop to my table. Each shop handles their own billing. If I wanted food from another shop, I just had to take my table number card to that shop to order. It was a bit of a hassle to go order each time, but the system was interesting. I ordered some dishes from the shop I was seated at, including sweet miso cabbage, sashimi platter, chicken meatballs, and fried chicken. They were all decent. I might try other shops next time. The place is open until 5 am on weekdays, so it's convenient for late-night outings. We didn't fully utilize the delivery system, so we left without exploring more of the shops. Thank you for the meal!

I had heard about Torame Yokocho before, as it was a hot topic on the internet. It's a place where various shops are gathered together in a yokocho style, and you can order delivery from any of the shops' menus no matter where you sit inside the tenant. I sat down at "Shinkotsu Tori" as my second stop on the right. I ordered the "Beer-Only Karaage," which had a fantastic name and tasted great, with a spicy flavor that complemented beer well. However, I was a bit disappointed by the "Otoko no Tsukune" (Men's Meatball), which was surprisingly small despite the name. I also tried the "Nigiri Maguro 3 kinds" from Maguro Ittetsu and the "Healthy Negiyaki with Natto and Tofu" from Momoya. It felt like I had visited three different shops at once, which was a nice experience. The only downside was the visibly unhappy staff at the less busy shops. I accidentally left the toilet door slightly open due to being a bit drunk, but the owner of the ramen shop in front came over to tell me to close it, which was a bit surprising. Overall, despite some challenges, I enjoyed the atmosphere and the good food at Torame Yokocho.

<2014.12.29> I posted a lot of reviews at the end of the year to catch up before going back to the countryside. I visited a yakitori restaurant called Ura Namba in the Tiger Eye Alley next to the Taste-en Building. First, I drew a fortune from the chopstick bag, and if it's great luck, you get a free beer. While waiting for the food, I had a refreshing chicken thigh sashimi with crunchy onions, delicious tsukune, seseri, and negima skewers. The alley was narrower than I expected, with a cluttered feel due to the open walls between the shops. The system of ordering directly at the restaurant and paying at the table was a bit inconvenient. Overall, the experience didn't quite click for me, but it might be different for a larger group.

This is a yakitori restaurant located right inside Toramoku Yokocho. The restaurant has a counter-only seating arrangement. Once you get used to the yokocho system, it's quite easy to navigate. The live atmosphere of seeing the food being grilled right in front of you, along with the smoke and aroma, is truly enjoyable. To start off, a beer is a must. The liver and harami (skirt steak) that I ordered arrived first. Both are seared on the surface with high heat, leaving the insides rare. They are seasoned with salt and not sauce. I sprinkle some shichimi (seven spice blend) on them before eating. The seseri (chicken neck), momo (chicken thigh), and sunagimo (gizzard) are also grilled with a crispy surface and juicy inside. The hizune (chicken tail) is cooked slowly, offering a chewy texture. It requires multiple bites to chew through, but the rich flavor of the meat makes it enjoyable until the end. The grilled parent bird over charcoal is a masterpiece that maximizes the smoky flavor of charcoal. Similar to the skewers, it also requires multiple bites to chew through, allowing you to savor the natural taste of the meat. Located at 2-3-9 Sennichimae, Chuo-ku, Osaka, behind Namba Toramoku Yokocho.
