At a random bar we stumbled into as our second stop, they offered a 30-minute all-you-can-drink deal for 550 yen (limited to the same type of drink, one order per person). The pasta was truly delicious! ❤️

For lunch on this day, I went to "Roma-ken Osaka Station 3rd Building" near Osaka Station. It was a support lunch for a restaurant that is still in business despite the pandemic. I had the "Japanese-style Bolognese" at the restaurant "Roma-ken" located on the 2nd basement floor of Osaka Station 3rd Building. I ordered the large size (600g) with a fried egg on top. "Roma-ken" is a restaurant known for its "yaki spaghetti." In its heyday, there were 3 or 4 stores inside Osaka Station Building, but now there is only one store in the 3rd building. By the way, "yaki spaghetti" is spaghetti that is boiled and then stir-fried in a wok. It's like the "Rome-spa" in Tokyo. Now, about the "Japanese-style Bolognese," it's not like a regular spaghetti bolognese where the meat sauce is poured over the pasta. It's spaghetti stir-fried with the bolognese sauce and ingredients together. The ingredients included komatsuna, shiitake mushrooms, and onions. Since it's "Japanese-style," it had a soy sauce flavor. The combination of the fragrant stir-fried spaghetti and the sweet and savory soy sauce flavor was really good. It felt more like Shanghai-style fried noodles rather than yaki spaghetti (laughs). The Japanese-style Bolognese was so delicious!

Drinks like highballs and lemon sours are all-you-can-drink for 30 minutes at 550 yen. If you think about it as 1,100 yen per hour, it's not that cheap. I ordered pasta, or rather spaghetti. It's not that delicious for a pasta restaurant. Maybe it's more about quantity. There are Romeken restaurants here and there, but they all seem to lack enthusiasm, or have some issues. I wonder if this Romeken had any enthusiasm.

Located in Osaka Station Front Building No.3, there is a place called Roman Ken. Feeling like having a drink after lunch today, I decided to challenge the 30-minute beer drinking competition at this place. The rules of the competition are as follows: it starts from 2 pm until closing time at 4 pm. This means you need to enter by 3:30 pm at the latest, as they start kicking people out a little before 4 pm. You can only have unlimited drinks of the same type as your first order, and you cannot change the type of alcohol midway. The price is 550 yen including tax, and you must order at least one food item, so I ordered the 450 yen chicken thigh tempura. The total bill came to 1070 yen (including 70 yen for something, I can't remember). The beer was really delicious, probably because the server takes good care of the tap. The tempura was also very juicy and tasty. Even though I won the competition by finishing my 5th beer within 30 minutes, I realized I may have had a bit too much to drink in such a short time.

【Revisit】This is a quick dinner around here (^▽^)/ Looking for a place where you can enjoy a non-alcoholic drink and be satisfied with just one dish... At Roma-ken, it was my first time having a non-alcoholic drink. Everyone else was ordering all-you-can-drink beer, wine, or highballs along with pasta. I felt a bit envious and tearfully went in, where I saw a big menu picture of "Spicy Curry" and ordered it without looking too closely at the menu. While waiting, I could smell the curry, which always makes your mouth water, right? Whether it's at an udon or soba shop, the smell of curry is always enticing. When the curry arrived, it had thick noodles stir-fried with curry and vegetables, topped with curry sauce and two green chili peppers. I realized that the tricky part of this dish was those green chili peppers. I started eating without touching the peppers, enjoying the spicy curry sauce and the crispy noodles. When it was time to face the green chili peppers, I hesitantly took a bite and... the fresh green taste mixed with a strong spiciness. I managed to finish both peppers with the pasta, although my eyes were watering and my mouth was tingling. Sweating and feeling the heat in my stomach, but luckily, I didn't have to fight sleepiness afterwards. All in all, it was a good experience. Thank you for the meal!

Located in B2 of Osaka Station Building No. 3, Roma-ken is a cozy Italian bar with only counter seating. With a rating of 3.27 on Tabelog, it's a great spot to enjoy wine, beer, chicken, and pasta. I opted for the popular "Meat Napolitan" for 680 yen plus a large serving for 250 yen, and the "Olive Chicken" for 600 yen. The portions here are generous, with the large serving being 600g. The pasta was thick and chewy, more like spaghetti. The flavors of the Napolitan and meat sauce blended well, but I preferred the traditional Napolitan taste. The Olive Chicken was quite spicy, reminiscent of "Sekai no Yamachan" style. It would pair perfectly with a cold beer. Overall, a good spot for when you're craving spaghetti instead of pasta.

I went to the restaurant with one other person and we stayed for about an hour. We ate and drank, and it cost around 2000 yen per person. I think the cost performance is really good. For the all-you-can-drink option, if you only have about 3 beers in an hour, it might be better to not choose it. The pasta portion was large, so we were satisfied with the amount of food.

Building 3, 13:10 on a weekday, the lunchtime at the station building from 12:00 to 13:00 is over and starting to calm down. I came here for the Napoletana for 580 yen, no toppings, regular size, and all-you-can-drink wine for 30 minutes for 550 yen. I ordered the 3rd operation, baked spaghetti, and in 7 minutes, the Napoletana with shrimp arrived. Maybe bacon would have been better, but anyway, I'll just pour in the white wine. I can easily finish one bottle in 30 minutes. It's great value for money, right? It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

The pasta for lunch is now over 1000 yen. However, here, even with a salad topping, it was only 770 yen. The seafood peperoncino took some time, but the squid was chewy and delicious, and there was quite a bit of noodles. The flavor is also solid. It's 650 yen for just the dish. In a station building where many stores have raised prices, this place offers good value for money with generous portions. I also appreciated the polite service from the staff.

A few years ago, I used to frequent this place for lunch, but I felt like having it again after a long time and decided to visit. It's a restaurant that serves baked spaghetti, where they boil the spaghetti and then fry it in a pan for quick service. I was undecided on what to order, but ended up choosing the classic "Japoneze" with komatsuna greens as I oddly like them. I ordered a regular size with no extra toppings, as the large portion tends to make me too full. I remember there used to be an "outrageous" size on the menu, but I wonder if it's still available. The Japoneze that arrived had a slightly strong salt flavor, but the crispy noodles were delicious. With dining out becoming more expensive, I appreciate this restaurant for being reasonably priced.

For lunch, I had baked Vongole pasta and 5 olive chicken skewers. The lunch crowd was full of customers. For dinner, I had chicken fajitas, fish and chips, tomato salad, and beer. The beer here is really delicious. Thank you for the wonderful meal today.

30 minutes flies by when you're enjoying delicious food and beer. Honestly, there's nothing quite like it. The staff at Roma-ken (Kyobashi branch) are all great people. Although the Kyobashi branch is gone now. From there, I've been to the Namba branch, the Uehommachi Station branch, and even the Tokyo and Kyushu branches of Roma-ken (haha). Among them, the Namba branch is the best. The chicken fajitas, olive chicken, yam yum chicken, tomato salad, and fish & chips are all delicious. Another great meal today. Thank you. UB Station branch.

It's a popular restaurant where people line up, but the turnover is fast so you can get in quickly. I almost always order the Chicken Fajitas, delicious pasta. No, haha. It's more like yakisoba than pasta. The Salt Basil is also delicious. I forget to take a picture because I eat it right away. The Olive Chicken is delicious. The beer is also good. Next, try the Chu-Hi with Blue Apple, Peach, and Lemon. You can mix it yourself, it's delicious. Thank you for the meal today.

I went for a cheap drink during the middle of Golden Week. The counter-style restaurant is perfect for solo drinkers or pairs. The 30-minute all-you-can-drink option doesn't allow for changes in alcohol types, so I recommend trying the wine, which allows you to compare different bottles. The pasta is pre-boiled and then stir-fried in a pan, with a decent amount of volume, although the taste may vary. I wish the jumbo frankfurter had a bit more of a crispy sear to it. The Napoli-style pasta with jumbo frankfurter and all-you-can-drink option cost 1280 yen. I had three beers, so I might have broken even!

I visit chain stores with multiple locations, and I especially recommend Japoneze. Their pasta is well-cooked with shrimp, shiitake mushrooms, komatsuna (a type of green vegetable), and tomatoes, seasoned with salt and rich flavors, all coming together nicely. The shiso (Japanese herb) adds a strong flavor. It's just delicious. I want to try other dishes too, but I always end up ordering Japoneze. The cost performance is also great, with 400g for 600 yen. The best!

I went to a restaurant because a friend told me they had Tom Yum flavor, but I ended up finding "Tomanara" instead and changed my order last minute haha. The Carbonara seemed a bit heavy, but with the addition of tomatoes, it became refreshing. It also had komatsuna (Japanese mustard spinach), shiitake mushrooms, and onions, making it lighter than regular Carbonara. Plus, it was baked like other pastas, giving it a slightly crispy texture. I also got the Olive & Jalapeno as snacks with all-you-can-drink Highball for 30 minutes at 550 yen. I usually go for Salt Basil or Japanese flavors, but adding this to the rotation is a good idea. Thank you for the meal!

Sometimes I crave for baked spaghetti! #Roma-ken is open even if you miss lunchtime, and it's great that you can eat it with chopsticks. ●Salt and basil / 680 yen ●Large serving / +250 yen They accept various payment methods. Baked spaghetti is available from 580 yen, with the regular size being 400g, large serving +250 yen for 600g, and extra large +420 yen for 850g. They also offer daytime drinking, with all-you-can-drink for 500 yen in 30 minutes! (Weekdays from 2 pm) It's also good for daytime drinking!

☆彡A spaghetti specialty store with multiple locations in Osaka Station Building, where the noodles are boiled after ordering, and even the regular size is 400g!! Not only is the portion generous, but the prices are incredibly cheap, offering all-you-can-drink for just one coin. I usually go for the drink deal in the evenings, but this was my first time trying their lunch menu. Since I had made an early reservation for dinner, I decided to go for a "light" option and chose the regular lunch set with 12 different options, along with the seasonal special "Yaki-Spa" Napolitan. However, at just 580 yen for the regular set, I felt it was too cheap and opted to add a fried egg on top of the Meat Napolitan for a total of 800 yen. The dish arrived in about 5 minutes after ordering. The Meat Napolitan consisted of 400g of noodles in tomato sauce, with a double meat sauce, and the addition of a fried egg. Despite expecting a heavy flavor, it turned out to be surprisingly light. The noodles were boiled and then mixed with the sauce in a frying pan, resulting in a harmonious combination. The dish contained unique ingredients such as crunchy komatsuna (Japanese mustard spinach) and seafood, which was a refreshing twist. I was impressed by the well-thought-out menu at such a low cost. The noodles were not 100% wheat flour, making me wonder if they were pasta or Chinese noodles. The thick noodles, which are not commonly found elsewhere, were surprisingly easy to eat, even in the regular portion. I couldn't believe how cheap it was and was worried about the quality, but the restaurant's efforts to provide affordable prices were evident. With a wide variety of menu options, I feel like I can keep coming back without getting tired of the choices. Thank you for reading till the end. Today's weekday lunch was my first challenge at "Roma Ken" restaurant. Although I see their stores everywhere, I had never stepped foot in this pasta place before. The location near JR Osaka Station and Umeda Subway Station, inside Osaka Station Building No. 3, had about 15 counter seats and 2 table seats. Around 2 pm, the occupancy rate was about 30%. I was lucky to be seated right away. I ordered the Neapolitan (ketchup flavor) for 580 yen in a regular size of 400g. I wasn't sure about the weight of the boiled noodles, so I just went with the regular size. This was a new experience for me as I had never been asked this before. Checking their website, I found out that they make their pasta by stir-frying in a pan, which explained the different texture of the noodles. They used thick, chewy noodles that were quite enjoyable. The portion was filling and the price was reasonable. It's no wonder this place is popular and expanding. I left satisfied and will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal. They accept PayPay as well.

In the 3rd building, there is Romaken. When it comes to Romaken, [large servings] [all-you-can-drink]. I skipped the large serving since it's at night, but I ordered the highball all-you-can-drink, salt basil, and pickles. It was almost full, so they said they needed some time, but I waited for my order while watching the WBC on Prime Video (^^) Since it's all-you-can-drink, I can wait patiently. The staff also quickly noticed when I wanted a refill. I ordered the salt basil with extra vegetables. It's a thick noodle pasta, different from the usual Italian spaghetti. I always hesitate between salt basil and Neapolitan, but I like light flavors. Even the regular size is quite a generous portion! lol I always felt like the Romaken in Sannomiya had a lot of burnt edges whenever I went, but here, there were fewer burnt edges. I like it this way~ I was so absorbed in watching baseball that I forgot to take a picture of the pickles and highball... Thank you for the meal♪ [Station] About 6 minutes on foot from Osaka Station [Seating] Counter, tables available [Visit time] Around 7:30 pm on weekdays [Crowdedness] Almost full [Food] Salt basil (extra vegetables), pickles, highball all-you-can-drink [Price] I forgot. I got too caught up in baseball lol
