This shop is a lemon cake specialty shop located about a 5-minute walk north on Tanimachi Street from Tennoji Station. It opened in September last year and is known for its lemon-shaped cakes and lemon-flavored canelé cakes. The shop is small, with lemon cakes displayed on the counter. I bought a box of 3 lemon cakes for 1,560 yen and chilled them before eating. The cakes had a strong lemon aroma and were made using whole Japanese lemons, resulting in a moist texture with a balanced sweetness and acidity. The price is a bit high at 520 yen per cake, but the quality makes it worth it. It's a great option for gifts as well.

The inside is moist and chewy. It is characterized by a rich, rare texture due to the abundance of eggs and moderate use of flour. Lemon-shaped Lemon Cakes 4 pieces (1680 yen) are said to taste even better when chilled. Slicing it thinly like yokan and enjoying it with coffee, tea, wine, or champagne is also recommended. It seems that they use whole domestic lemons. The taste changes as the days go by.

I visited 〈Aruhi no Oyatsu〉 shortly after it opened, but the shop was not registered, so I am posting this now (lol). The mini lemon cakes were sold out (cries). I bought the mini canelés instead, which had a slightly crunchy texture and a lemony fragrance (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵). They are bite-sized, so they disappear quickly~ Next time, I want to buy the lemon cake. "Thank you for the meal ☺︎"
