Wandering around the Senboku Center Building alone. It was already past 2 o'clock and I started feeling a bit hungry. I thought maybe some udon would be good? Oh, there's a ramen shop from a famous chain nearby. It's not too far, so let's go check it out! I walked to Building 1 of the Senboku Center and then headed north. It was my first time in this area. Just a little ahead was a historic-looking bridge called Honmachi Bridge, and there was a shop nearby. Since it's a famous chain, I was worried there might be a long line, but it was okay! They close at 3 o'clock, so it was just about 20 minutes before closing time. Inside, there was a ticket machine. Next to it was a lady from the shop. I noticed that all the items next to the menu on the ticket machine were marked as sold out ✕. It was unusual, so I took a picture of it (*^^*). The machine was malfunctioning, so I ended up paying the lady directly in cash. I hadn't checked any reviews, so I didn't know which one was the best. The top item, the Premium Tori Soba, caught my eye, but I decided to go with the regular Chuka Soba. Below that was the Special Chuka Soba, which had extra toppings like chashu, menma, and egg. Since the Chuka Soba already had an egg in it, I went with the regular one. There were 8 counter seats and 3 customers before me. It must get crowded during lunchtime. The ramen arrived in about 5 minutes. It came in a stylish bowl. Huh!! The yolk of the seasoned egg was heart-shaped? Amazing! How do they make this? I know you can change the shape of the egg itself, but just the yolk! I was impressed, but then I thought, wait, is it really possible to change just the yolk's shape? I need to check this later. First, I tried the soup. The clear soy sauce-based soup had a traditional Chuka Soba flavor, which got me excited. Wow, it's very chicken-y! The chicken fat was abundant on the surface. The chicken soup was good, but I wondered if the fat would make the chicken smell too strong? The temperature of the fat part was a bit low, which I didn't like much. The noodles were thin and had a curly texture that I liked. The thinly sliced chashu was tender and I really liked it! The long menma was also to my liking (*^^*). Overall, I think it's a harmonious and easy-to-eat ramen, but it was a bit different from the nostalgic traditional Chuka Soba that I remember. Thank you for the meal. (Looking at reviews, it seems that there were no other ramen dishes with a heart-shaped yolk like the seasoned egg)
