On Saturday, I had the pleasure of enjoying a special lunch at a newly reopened Japanese restaurant located on Kaburi's seafood street. This place offers a unique dish called "Seafood Parfait." I opted for the "Blue Set," which focuses on seafood like Kanpachi, Mackerel, Horse Mackerel, Shrimp, and flying fish roe. The standout element was the cheese rice grilled with bamboo charcoal. The meal also included a set of freshly fried tempura (shrimp, pumpkin, sweet potato, and rapeseed blossoms) and a delicious miso soup made with Itoshima vegetables. The rice used was locally sourced from Itada and Nijo, and the soy sauce was from a local brand called Kitai Shoyu. Overall, I hope this restaurant continues to thrive and impress despite being relatively new in the area.

Kaburi is known for their seafood bowls. They have a seafood parfait which looks colorful and beautiful, and tastes fresh! You can take it to go or eat in the restaurant. They also offer children's bento boxes, so kids who can't eat seafood can enjoy a meal too. Without a doubt, the best place in the seafood bowl road.

【December 2, 2022 (Friday)】"Furukawa", a long-established restaurant celebrating its 50th anniversary, has recently opened a new shop specializing in seafood parfaits. The shop has a small dining area where customers can eat in. Although I was intrigued by the seafood parfait, I couldn't bring myself to eat it in this cold weather (^^;(although some people were buying it). Instead, I opted to purchase their famous fried chicken as a takeout. The fried chicken comes in a set of 3 for 450 yen (tax included) and is made from chicken thigh meat. The taste was decent, just a normal, tasty fried chicken. However, I felt that the price of 450 yen was a bit high. I'll save my rating for when I try the seafood parfait.
