Laughing at the Ramen Senka, which was open past 11 p.m., is conveniently located near Hakodate Station. However, most ramen shops close after 11 p.m. Luckily, I found this place still open. They serve until 4 a.m.! I ordered the miso curry ramen, which surprisingly had a curry aroma despite being miso-based. The noodles were thin and curly, complementing the soup perfectly. The chashu was light pork loin, and there were some white leeks and bean sprouts as well. Unfortunately, I couldn't try the salt ramen this time. Overall, it was a satisfying meal!

In Hakodate, there is a ramen shop called Ramen Senka that is open late at night. I ordered their famous curry ramen and salt ramen, along with Zariji (fried pork). The salt ramen was light yet flavorful with a strong taste of broth. Adding corn topping to the salt ramen was definitely the best choice. The spicy curry ramen had plenty of onions and other ingredients, with a rich broth that set it apart from other ramen shops that just add curry to their ramen. The Zariji was delicious when dipped in the sauce with mustard. It's a great place to stop by for a refreshing meal after drinking.

I heard from the mama at a nearby snack bar that their curry ramen is delicious, so I decided to visit. Since I hadn't eaten rice since morning, I ordered beer and gyoza first. The gyoza was small but very tasty with a strong garlic flavor that went well with the beer. I then ordered the curry ramen, which comes in regular and spicy versions, and this time I asked for the regular one. When it arrived, the enticing aroma of curry made me hungry. I dug in and found that the firm noodles were well coated with curry, creating a perfect combination. Even the regular version had a good amount of spice. The owner mentioned that many customers order white rice to finish their meal, but this time I skipped it due to the generous portion. They prepare fresh spices every day. I plan to try the spicy version next time.

Recommended by a standing bar, this ramen shop offers a variety of ramen dishes, with salt ramen as their specialty. They also have miso, soy sauce, curry, and Chinese fried rice options. The salt ramen costs 700 yen and is made with a soup base of pork bones, chicken bones, and kelp. The soup is light and gentle, lacking a strong pork bone flavor, but some may find the saltiness a bit lacking. Apparently, the shop's specialty is curry ramen (laughs). They are open until 2 am.

I came to a ramen shop recommended by a local person I met at the Omote Yokocho in Hakodate City. It's a popular shop that is open until around 3 am and serves alcohol. There are two women working there! Customers keep coming one after another! ◆Order ✔️4 Super Dry beers (500 yen each) ✔️Gyoza (450 yen) ✔️Zariji (650 yen) ✔️Fried rice (750 yen) ✔️Miso ramen (750 yen) ✔️Char-mayo onigiri (150 yen) ◆We sat at the counter and it seems like we ordered more than we can eat. Gyoza while drinking beer! It's the best. The recommended dish at the shop that I'm not familiar with, "Zariji," turned out to be fried pork! It was crispy and delicious, perfect with beer! Feeling good, we also had onigiri. We shared the fried rice. I had the ramen all to myself. I'm full and this is a great shop. The night is getting late. Thank you for the meal. Thank you very much.

I was recommended Kitaro at the bar, but since they didn't have it, I carefully considered another nearby restaurant that looked good. Then, I noticed someone from the previous place and followed them to this restaurant. It's called "Shouten," right? Oh, it's Enraku-san. Now, when it comes to Hakodate, it's all about salt ramen! But I was intrigued by their specialty curry ramen, so I ended up diving into it. I tried a bit of the salt ramen my friend ordered, and it was indeed light. I scooped up the chewy noodles and savored the rich curry soup until the last drop. Hmm, what a great way to end the meal.

A ramen shop popular with slightly tipsy customers in the drinking district of Daimon area. They are open until 3 am. The interior has a retro Showa era vibe, resembling a Chinese restaurant in a downtown area. The shop is run by two older sisters. There are counter seats, tables, and a tatami table for two on the left side upon entering. The menu offers noodle dishes and rice dishes in half sizes. You can choose thick or thin noodles. This time, we tried the following: - Draft beer - Zariji (local specialty from Hakodate, a type of Chinese dish) - Zangi (deep-fried pork) - Stir-fried vegetables with a variety of veggies and a peppery flavor - Curry ramen with a rich menthol flavor, slices of beef and onions - Salt ramen - Dry curry fried rice with a spicy kick, fluffy texture Although it's called Ramen Senka, they also offer rice dishes and side dishes. It's a great place for a meal, not just for a drinking establishment. There is a coin parking lot right across the street. *Ratings are based on a review from the blog "Kairo no Taberu Aru Ki"* Ramen Senka Waraten Phone: 0138-22-9050 Address: 4-1 Matsukaze-cho, Hakodate-shi, Hokkaido Business Hours: 11:00-14:00, 17:00-3:00 (next day) Closed: Irregular

It's a mystery why a ramen shop in the middle of a snowstorm is called "Laughing." If it's a comedy ramen shop, I worry there's no guarantee on taste. But I was looking for a warm bowl of ramen, so I was relieved. The salt ramen is the most popular, and the curry ramen is famous. I just had curry recently, so I opted for the soy sauce. Even though I usually go for the specialty menu items, I decided to try the basic soy sauce ramen first. The soup is delicious. Simple but tasty. It's just right as a light finish after drinking. Truly a ramen shop in a drinking district. Maybe I'll try the curry ramen next. ...Why are they called "Laughing"?

On this day, on the way back from drinking with friends in the Daimon area, we decided to have ramen. It was our first visit to this restaurant, which is well-known for its curry ramen. Without hesitation, we ordered the curry ramen along with bottled beer and dumplings because we were a bit drunk. I honestly don't remember the dumplings, so I'll just review the ramen. The curry soup was not too spicy, with a gentle sweetness. The noodles were cooked slightly soft. However, this combination gave me a sense of "nostalgia" even though it was my first time trying it, creating a warm and comforting taste. I finished the noodles quickly and added a bit of rice to the remaining soup to make a mini curry bowl, which was also delicious! I am curious about the other menu items, so I plan to visit again.

In Hakodate, the must-try dish for finishing off your meal is the curry ramen here! Today, I really wanted to try the ramen at the neighboring Bunbuku-san, but for some reason they were closed... so it seems fate brought me back here. I ordered the Meiwazu Curry Ramen. They offer a mild and spicy option, but I couldn't resist the urge for spice and went with the spicy one. I also added some green onions as a topping. It cost 950 yen. The ramen was served in about 10 minutes. The aroma is irresistible. And it's spicy!! I can handle it, but it's pretty hot. Maybe I didn't have enough alcohol today, or my taste buds are just sensitive, but it feels even spicier than usual. But it's delicious. Curry and green onions don't seem like they would go together, but somehow they complement each other so well in ramen. The yellow curly noodles also mix well with the curry, and I finished it all in no time. The soft onions were also really tasty. I'd love to try other dishes here, but I don't have many chances to come back, so if I get transferred to Hakodate, I'll definitely visit this place a lot! Thank you for the meal♪

Since I first tried it, whenever I come to Hakodate, I must have the curry ramen here as the final dish. It's just too delicious, I'm addicted. When you think of Hakodate, you think of salt, but today I drank a lot, went to a second party at a great atmosphere Japanese sake bar (I don't remember where it was), even though I don't remember the second party, I made sure to leave room in my stomach for ramen, and I saved some alcohol so I wouldn't go home drunk, and I came here. Of course, I ordered the curry ramen! Spicy! And as a service, they also have a small portion. So I ordered the small portion. We were the only customers, so the ramen was served in 10 minutes. Spicy, bright red! Was it this red before? The soup is spicy! But the curry is so rich with a strong sweetness in the spiciness. But it's spicy! The collaboration of spiciness and sweetness. Delicious... The yellow curly noodles also mix well with the soup and I finished it in no time. My colleague ordered the mild version just before taking a break, so I also tried the mild one. You can still taste the curry flavor, it's amazing. My senior ordered something called soup curry and it was delicious too. Curry ramen is famous in Muroran, but this one surpasses it with its rich flavor. I have to go to Hakodate again. Seeing other comments, it seems like the salt ramen is also delicious, so I'm curious... I might have to request a transfer to Hakodate.

Late-night visit on April 24, 2021... which has now turned into Sunday, the 25th. Although curry ramen seems to be their specialty, it may not be the best choice for a nightcap, but I decided to give it a try. The soup was thick and had a strong roux-like flavor. It seemed even better when paired with rice, but I didn't order any. Maybe it was a bit too heavy for a late-night meal... Dinner time might have been a better choice. This was my first time trying curry ramen in Hakodate. Thank you for the meal!

AM5:18: Arrived in Hakodate... Posted a photo of Hakodate Station on LINE... Apparently, Tom-chan is coming this way on the 7 o'clock limited express train (I didn't invite him though lol). Heard that a commercial facility called "HAKOVIVA" recently opened near the station, so I decided to check it out (or rather, eat my way through it). However, it's unlikely that they would be open this early (it's a treasure trove of unregistered shops after all). The enemy is tourism, while I'm here for work... So I quickly had breakfast and plan to head back on the 8 o'clock limited express train to Sapporo lol. Sat at the counter of "Ramen Senka Waraten" that I found at the morning market. Ordered the "Salt Ramen @700 yen (tax included)" (I only eat salt ramen in Hakodate). It was served in 6 minutes with toppings like chashu, naruto, negi, and menma. The noodles were slightly soft due to high water content, designed to be elderly-friendly like barrier-free housing. The soup lacked a strong dashi flavor but the overall balance was just right, true to Hakodate quality. Finished slurping it up in a few minutes, paid the bill, and left the restaurant. I'd love to come back for a plate of gyoza next time. Thank you for the meal.

The popular ramen shop had a long line, so I took a taxi to a ramen shop recommended by the driver. As expected, Hakodate is known for its salt ramen! Simple ingredients with clear broth. It's light but delicious! And it's only 600 yen, very affordable! It has an old-fashioned ramen feel and is perfect for after drinking.

Ramen from Shime is a ramen shop in Hakodate that stays open late. I visited around 9 pm. Last time I came in June, it was full and I couldn't get in. I ordered the Sweet Curry Ramen for 800 yen. I chose the sweet version this time because I remember the spicy one being quite hot. The soup was like curry soup spread with dashi, more like a Japanese soba shop's curry soba. It's not curry ramen, but curry noodles, which shows their commitment to uniqueness. I was already full, so I left some soup, but if I were hungry, I would have to finish it all. However, it would be nice to have a medium spicy option between sweet and spicy.

In July 2019, my mother and I took a sudden trip to Hakodate. We visited the morning market where I enjoyed squid fishing and received fresh squid to eat. The morning market allows you to eat whatever you want, which is very appealing. My mother cannot eat raw food or meat, so we visited a ramen shop in the market. I had soy sauce ramen, which had a light and delicious broth made from seafood and animal stock. It was a tasty ramen that I could enjoy lightly in the morning. The noodles were also to my liking. The owner was friendly and the atmosphere of the shop was pleasant. Thank you for the meal.

Now, at 23:36, as I was about to head back to the hotel without having eaten due to work running late, I stumbled upon a nice ramen shop! I usually watch what I eat to avoid gaining weight, but since I'm on a business trip in Hakodate, I decided to go for it. It was surprising to find a Chinese restaurant open at this hour! The place was crowded with salarymen coming back from drinking. Since it's Hakodate, I thought maybe I should go for the salt ramen, but I ended up ordering fried rice and dumplings. The female owner was running the place by herself, and it took about 5 minutes for the food to come out. Both the fried rice and dumplings were really delicious. Maybe this is a local spot that the residents frequent? It was a satisfying meal. Thank you for the feast!

The curry ramen here is especially delicious. It's quite spicy, so if you don't like spicy food, you should ask for it to be made sweeter. They are open late, so it's perfect for a drink to finish off the night. The amount of noodles is just right, not too much or too little.

I visited this restaurant in Hakodate for the third time at night. It was past 12 o'clock and the place was packed! I was exhausted but first had some gyoza and beer. The staff seemed busy as there were only two of them working, but they managed to keep up with the crowd. I knew it would take some time due to the full house, so I patiently sipped on my beer while waiting. Feeling hungry, I decided to add some curry fried rice to my order. This guaranteed a stomach ache tomorrow! The gyoza arrived after about 20 minutes. They were small and had a strong grilled flavor. I can't quite remember if they were good or bad. The curry fried rice was moist and had a strong curry flavor, which I vaguely recall as being delicious. Well, it's no good - I had plenty to drink before stopping by. Thanks for the meal!
