Spring 2012 Iizuka Tour! Dinner on the first day! Dinner here, close to the hotel where we stayed! I'm usually a light eater, so it's been a while since I had a buffet! I was able to try a variety of dishes little by little, so I was mentally satisfied! It's nice to have a lively meal with everyone once in a while!

It's definitely not cheap, but children will be thrilled. If you have a big appetite, you might be able to make up for the cost, but for most people it's not feasible. It's a place to go for fun.

Average! Because I'm getting older, I can't eat as much.

We often used it when our children were small.

I went to Stamina Taro. I found the nearest store from Kitakyushu. It was about a 40-minute drive. I was the driver because it was my child's request. It had been a while since I had been to an all-you-can-eat place. It was just before 9 p.m., so there were some empty seats and we were able to sit down right away. There were many table seats, so it would be safe even for a large group. There were many families with children, and they could enjoy all-you-can-eat ice cream, cotton candy, cakes (cream puffs, rare cheesecake, mont blanc), etc. There were also sushi, curry, yakisoba, fried chicken, salad bar, etc. The meat options included pork belly, pork tongue, pork kalbi, beef kalbi, sirloin, harami, chicken, and offal. There were about two kinds of vegetables (cabbage, carrots, shiitake mushrooms, etc.) and fruits (melon, kiwi, pineapple, grapefruit, etc.). The sauces included soy sauce-based, miso, ponzu, and lemon juice. There were also gochujang and garlic as condiments. The table had salt, pepper, and shichimi. I think it's good for families with young children or growing children.

The restaurant offers a 90-minute all-you-can-eat buffet with a main focus on yakiniku (grilled meat), as well as a variety of side dishes and noodles. The desserts are also plentiful. However, the taste of the food is disappointing and the attitude of the staff is so-so. Drinks are not included in the buffet price and alcohol must be purchased separately. The prices are reasonable, but considering the taste, it may not be worth a second visit. It's a good option for those looking to eat cheaply in a large group.

Just a while ago, I had a tempura set meal for lunch and my stomach was full, but as I was driving back, I passed by a buffet restaurant called "Sutamina Taro" that I know. They offer all-you-can-eat yakiniku and sushi. Even though it's not really my thing, I couldn't resist the temptation when I saw a sign saying yakiniku bento for 540 yen. I decided to turn back and check it out. The location is along the national highway in Kawashima, Iizuka City, Fukuoka Prefecture. I arrived at the restaurant around 12:30 on a weekday. There were a few customers eating yakiniku inside. I asked the staff what kind of meat they use, and they said it's beef kalbi, which takes about 15 minutes to cook. I ordered the beef kalbi bento for 540 yen including tax. I sat at a table inside the restaurant and waited for about 15 minutes. I was a bit bored, but I resisted the urge to wander around the buffet area. I was handed the bento and I immediately started eating it in my car. They even provided me with a paper towel. The warm bento was packed with thinly sliced kalbi meat, with plenty of fatty parts. The meat was marinated in a sweet and savory sauce, and the rice portion was generous. The meat was a bit tough, but considering the price, I shouldn't complain. I finished all the meat but left more than half of the rice uneaten. This time of year, my appetite tends to decrease. Overall, I wanted to point out that the meat was a bit tough, but the flavor was commendable. I don't know where the meat is from, but it's definitely from a foreign country across the sea. Just being able to eat meat is a blessing. Yakiniku really changes based on the sauce seasoning.
