It had been a while since I met up with a friend, and we decided to have lunch in Umeda. We met on the first floor of Hankyu 32nd Street and saw a sign for a special Matsukado lunch, limited to 10 servings a day. We decided to try it out, and luckily we made it in time. The "Tango Matsukado Lunch" is a seasonal menu available from April to October, featuring seafood and mountain delicacies from San'in. It was a luxurious and delicious lunch at a reasonable price. The view from the window was also nice, making it a great choice for a ladies' lunch. I'm curious about their dinner menu, so I might visit again if I have the chance. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was calm and pleasant. Thank you for the meal!

This is a shop located on the 28th floor of Hankyu Grand Building in Osaka Umeda. We visited with two people on a weekday evening for a business meeting. The shop mainly offers course meals. This time, we ordered the Crab Course Matsukaze for 5891 yen (excluding tax). The course included crab sashimi, grilled crab, crab gratin, crab crab cake, crab tempura, crab chawanmushi, crab rice, and dessert. We enjoyed it with a highball in hand. Thank you for the meal.

We had the lunch course at Tateiwa, all half courses of Tarumi crab. It started with crab sashimi, followed by soup, vinegar dish, grilled dish, salad, bread, and dessert. The two of us in our 60s were full. The elderly couple next to us took two hours to eat the full course. The small portions are a downside, but at this price, it can't be helped. Above all, the view of Osaka Bay and Kobe from the window is outstanding.

This is a restaurant located on the 28th floor of Umeda Grand Building where you can enjoy Tanba crab, seafood, and local dishes. I was drawn to this place by its vibrant window display and decided to have lunch there. The restaurant is small, but every seat offers a great view. Luckily, we were seated by the window, overlooking the beautiful Osaka skyline. We ordered the "Tanba Seafood Bowl" and the "Tanba Rose Sushi Set". The seafood bowl was a colorful mix of crab, sweet shrimp, steamed shrimp, tuna, snapper, salmon, squid, salmon roe, and more. It came with a side of simmered shishito peppers, pickles, and miso soup. The variety of seafood was impressive and very fresh. The rose sushi set featured crab, minced tuna, rolled omelette, carrot flowers, fish cake, snow peas, and pickled ginger arranged like a rose. It also came with side dishes like simmered shishito peppers, boiled vegetables, and miso soup with seaweed and tofu. The staff was attentive, and the service was smooth. We enjoyed our meal while taking in the breathtaking view of Osaka below. It was a delightful dining experience.

I have been enjoying dining at Hankyu Grand Building recently, and one of the great advantages here is the amazing view! You can see the whole Osaka cityscape from above, with Osaka Station at the center. The view is really beautiful. When dining at Hankyu Grand Building, I highly recommend sitting by the window to enjoy the view. One of the restaurants with a great view that I chose for today's lunch is "Dining Kotobiki". This place offers seafood from northern Kinki region. They have a variety of lunch menu options, from sushi sets to luxurious crab sets. The crab dishes are a bit pricey though. Today, I decided on the chirashi sushi set with tempura on the side. The chirashi sushi looked very photogenic and tasted delicious. The sushi rice was seasoned perfectly with a nice balance of vinegar. The crispy tempura added a nice contrast when eaten together. The portion size was on the smaller side, so it might not be satisfying for younger customers, but the elegant flavors make it a great place to dine. There seemed to be a good number of older customers in the small restaurant, and the staff were relaxed. Although I noticed that there were a few staff members, which made the service a bit slow, I think it would be a nice place to enjoy some drinks and delicious snacks in the evening. I would definitely like to come back again.

At Hankyu Grand Building 28th floor, you can enjoy casual dining with dishes from the Tango region, including crab. Tango is known for its crab, and I've been missing it lately. This time, I found the "bara sushi" (scattered sushi) in the showcase and it caught my attention! The Tango bara sushi set for 1580 yen is beautifully arranged with colorful bara sushi and tempura. It also includes sweetened minced mackerel, shiitake mushrooms, and plenty of shredded egg on top of the bara sushi. It's been a while since I made chirashi sushi at home. The professional taste is truly delicious. The tempura includes shrimp and crab legs, crispy and delicious. The variety of side dishes is also impressive, making it a satisfying set meal. The complimentary Haniwa mochi is a nice touch. If you prefer bara sushi as the main dish, the Tango bara sushi set meal for 940 yen offers about double the amount of bara sushi compared to the set mentioned earlier. It also comes with side dishes and miso soup. I might try this next time. I look forward to visiting during crab season to enjoy the beautiful view of Osaka Station from the window-side seat.

I ordered a seafood sashimi set meal. It came with rice, soup, small side dishes, assorted sashimi, grilled fish, and salad. It was quite a generous portion. Personally, I liked that it was packed with my favorite items, and I thought it was a good value for around 1700 yen. The sashimi was fresh and delicious. Sitting by the window offers a nice view, but sitting with your back to the window means you can't see anything.

The Matsuba crab from the Sea of Japan is definitely the best. I'm not a fan of the strong taste of the rice porridge at the end, but I end up going every year.

When I stayed at Lakeside Hotel Kotohiki, I received a postcard with information about the hotel. I immediately called to make a reservation. Initially, I ordered the full course meal, but due to my partner feeling unwell, we changed it to a light lunch course. Strangely, the full course meal was reserved at the main restaurant, while the lunch course was reserved at the hotel restaurant. This system seemed a bit confusing and could lead to complaints about not getting reservations. The dishes were small in size, but they were all made with real Matsuba crabs. It was a luxurious lunch. However, the small portions meant that the texture was not as firm. The highlight was the amazing view. You could see all the way from Osaka Bay to Kobe. The view was so stunning that it almost distracted from the delicious food. They also had a great selection of Japanese sake. I thought about coming back at night next time.

I came here wanting to eat delicious food, and ended up waiting for about 30 minutes in line with 3 other groups. It was actually lucky because apparently the wait can be longer. There were quite a few elderly people during lunch time. Most people seemed to order the course meals for lunch. I wanted to try the seafood bowl, so I ordered the seafood bowl for 1280 yen and the Tatsu-iwa course for 4080 yen. The crab sashimi was delicious as expected! The crab miso soup was also tasty. It was very easy to eat, as they made it easy to remove the meat from the crab. I was impressed by that. The steamed crab was a bit difficult to eat though. The Tatsu-iwa course, although the most expensive lunch menu, did not leave me feeling full. I think men might find it not filling enough.

I was craving crab and found this place while looking for a restaurant. It is located on the restaurant floor of Hankyu Grand Building 28th floor. The atmosphere of the restaurant is a bit nicer than an izakaya, with a view of Grand Front outside the window, although the view was not the best (haha). They offer lunch sets as well, but this time I tried the "Matsukaze Course" which is all about crab. The portion size of each dish was a bit small, but the taste was great! The crab sashimi was small but sweet and delicious. The hairy crab in a box had a crunchy texture and was tasty. The timing of serving the dishes was also good. Overall, it would have been even better if there was a bit more volume.
