I was torn between ordering the tempura rice bowl or the tempura set meal, but since this place offers unlimited mentaiko (spicy cod roe), I decided to go with the set meal this time.
- Tempura Set Meal: 1,200 yen
It came with one shrimp, squid, white fish, eggplant, and pumpkin tempura each, along with red miso soup and rice. The tempura was crispy and satisfying, something I couldn't replicate at home. The only downside was that the dipping sauce was a bit thin, so I had to soak and let the tempura absorb it before eating. I wish they had offered salt or other condiments as well.
- Unlimited Mentaiko: There was plenty of mentaiko available, almost as if they were saying "help yourself!" The mentaiko itself was delicious, and I didn't hold back in putting a generous amount on my rice. I easily polished off one serving. It was nice to have the mentaiko to eat with the rice, as eating just tempura alone can be heavy on the stomach.

Ate at a restaurant in Yodobashi Umeda restaurant district. Ordered a set meal instead of tempura. Food arrived in about 1 minute. It seemed like it was pre-made, not freshly cooked. Considering the price of 1500 yen, the taste was acceptable. However, with so much competition in Osaka, I probably won't visit again. The mentaiko was good though. Thank you for the meal.

Yodobashi Umeda (Links Umeda) is a shop located on the 8th floor. I visited for a solo lunch on a weekday afternoon. I was seated at the counter and ordered the limited summer bowl: pork tempura and summer vegetable bowl for 1800 yen (tax included). The price was a bit high, but the restaurant offers unlimited servings of spicy cod roe. The dish arrived in about 10 minutes with miso soup on the side. It was a generous portion. However, just like my previous visit, the tempura was quite dark, indicating the oil may not have been fresh. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

Let's have lunch at the restaurant street in Links. Lunch around here generally costs over 1000 yen. Let's eat at Ebino-ya. It's a restaurant that serves tempura and tempura set meals. They offer all-you-can-eat mentaiko. If you want to eat mentaiko, go for the set meal instead of the tempura bowl. I sit at the counter in a U-shape. There is a large bonsai tree in front of the counter. I carefully examine the menu. It seems that there is no option for extra rice in the set meal or tempura bowl. I order the tempura set meal for 1200 yen. I choose white rice. Here it comes. What is this? The presentation is very unique. This kind of presentation is the first time for me. It's not in line with Japanese etiquette or the Osaka style. Maybe it was arranged by someone who is not Japanese? I rearrange it. The tempura includes shrimp, white fish, squid, pumpkin, and eggplant. There is no salt, only tempura dipping sauce. The dipping sauce has grated daikon radish in it. I take some mentaiko with rice. Since you can't eat too much mentaiko, I stopped at this amount. The tempura is freshly fried and piping hot. The shrimp is not very firm. ★I have a blog called "Living to Eat" https://pochi12345.blog.fc2.com/blog-entry-13971.html

I revisited a restaurant called "Tempura Ebi no Ya Yodobashi Umeda Store" after about 7 years. I came looking for the towering shrimp tempura that used to overflow from the bowl last time I visited, but it seems that times have changed. The shrimp is now smaller than before, and the shape of the bowl lid has changed to resemble an umbrella. The prices have also increased, possibly due to recent price hikes or the redevelopment of the Umeda area. However, there were some positive changes as well. When you order a tempura rice bowl or set meal, you can eat mentaiko (spicy cod roe) for free! Of course, if it's free, I will eat it. Overall, it was a lunch with various feelings, but in the end, the tempura rice bowl was delicious. Bon appétit!

At Links Umeda, there is a tempura restaurant where you can enjoy tempura donburi and tempura set meals. This time, I ordered the conger eel set meal (tax included 1500 yen). It offers good value for a tempura restaurant, and the unlimited mentaiko (spicy cod roe) is a nice touch. You can also choose between multigrain rice and regular white rice. It's a great tempura restaurant where you can easily stop by.

Ebinoya set meal for 1400 yen. A restaurant located on the 8th floor of Yodobashi Umeda's food floor. I was torn between the tempura bowl and the set meal, but ended up ordering the set meal. The menu stated that it included 3 prawns, squid, white fish, and 2 types of vegetables, which on that day were pumpkin and eggplant. It took about 15 minutes from ordering for the meal to arrive. The tempura had a thick and crispy batter, and was served hot. I dipped the freshly fried tempura in the tempura dipping sauce and enjoyed it with rice. The unlimited mentaiko (spicy cod roe) on the table was a nice touch! I regret not getting extra rice as I could have enjoyed it with the tempura. Thank you for the meal.

I found out about a miraculous tempura restaurant offering all-you-can-eat mentaiko (spicy cod roe) and decided to go to Yodobashi. I had the anago (conger eel) tempura rice bowl for 1,500 yen, and to my surprise, they offered unlimited mentaiko. The tempura and dipping sauce were incredibly delicious. It was so good that I wanted to go for seconds. Definitely recommend trying it out.

When going to Osaka by car, it is convenient to park on the 9th or 10th floor of Yodobashi. For lunch, it is efficient to quickly eat at the 8th floor restaurant area in Yodobashi, even if it's a bit early. On this day, we followed this plan and also went to Ebisuya at my partner's request. Due to the increased costs of ingredients and transportation due to the COVID-19 situation, prices have gone up slightly, but the all-you-can-eat mentaiko option still offers good value. We ordered two tempura set meals (1,200 yen each including tax). Instead of the shrimp bowl for the same price, which comes with an additional tempura egg, we preferred the set meal option. The food arrived in 6-7 minutes. We asked for shichimi spice and added it to the rich tempura dipping sauce. We generously topped the multigrain rice with the spicy mentaiko. The freshly fried tempura was delicious. The mentaiko seemed to have a slightly reduced saltiness compared to before, which was good. The multigrain rice may or may not actually contain 15 different grains, but we didn't bother counting. It's healthier than white rice, so we didn't worry about the details. We enjoyed the meal without any issues, adding mentaiko as we went along and finishing at a good pace. Thank you for the meal.

I went to Yodobashi to buy a hairdryer and decided to check out the restaurant area. I was so excited to see so many different restaurants. Normally, I would have chosen a dish with lots of shrimp, but since I had eaten a lot for lunch that day, I decided to go with the one shrimp tempura rice bowl. It turned out to be surprisingly filling and delicious. The tempura was freshly fried and everything was so tasty, I left feeling very satisfied. The homemade dumplings that came with it were also delicious."

I went to Yodobashi for lunch and decided to try this place that didn't have a line. They no longer offer unlimited mentaiko, but now they serve shumai instead. One man was efficiently serving the tables, while another woman seemed a bit slow. I thought to myself, she's young, she should move faster (laughs). The taste was okay, just average. I wish they had more grated daikon with the tempura, and I would have liked some salt to go with it. Also, it would have been great if they had shichimi or ichimi for seasoning.

I walked around the restaurant area at Yodobashi Camera but couldn't find any standout places, so I chose a random one. I had the tempura set meal with fish, shrimp, and 3 kinds of vegetables. The service was a bit slow and the value for money wasn't great, but I left feeling satisfied. It's a shame that once you know a good restaurant, other places can seem mediocre.

Visited Yodobashi Umeda in Osaka in the morning to purchase electronics. For lunch, we decided to go to "Ebinoya" for tempura on the 8th floor restaurant area, based on my wife's choice. It was almost full at 11:35 am, so we had to wait for about 12 minutes to be seated. We both ordered the "Tempura Set Meal" (tax included 970 yen) as we were still feeling full from a steak lunch the day before. The set included shrimp x1, white fish x1, squid x1, eggplant x1, pumpkin x1, along with red miso soup and grated radish tempura dipping sauce. Although the restaurant used to offer pickled burdock root and ginger as well, now they only provide unlimited spicy cod roe, which was a bit disappointing. The tempura was freshly fried and had a light, fluffy coating. The tempura dipping sauce was sweet and salty, and quite rich in flavor. The red miso soup was also quite salty. The spicy cod roe, on the other hand, was not too salty and was the best I've had at Ebinoya. The rice was delicious as well. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

It's lunchtime in Umeda. There are many delicious restaurants in the basement of Yodobashi Camera. So I decided to come here! They have udon, ramen, sushi, and more, but I found "Ebinoya Yodobashi Umeda" and decided to try it out! I ordered the shrimp tempura set meal and my friend got the shrimp tempura rice bowl. The tempura was freshly fried and really delicious! The shrimp was plump and juicy. The chicken tempura with spicy cod roe on top was also good! My friend said the shrimp tempura rice bowl was also really tasty. If you're looking for lunch in Umeda, I recommend this place! Thank you for the meal!

There is a tempura restaurant on the gourmet floor of Yodobashi Camera Umeda. It's a good place for a quick meal. You can choose between tempura rice bowl and assorted tempura. This time, I tried the tempura rice bowl with 2 prawns. It costs 1080 yen (tax included). My friend had the red sea bream and spring vegetable set meal for 1300 yen (tax included). The tempura was crispy and fluffy, and the sauce for the rice bowl was deliciously sweet. The seating space is a bit narrow, so it might be tough with luggage.

On this day when an emergency declaration is expected to be issued soon, I hurried to get my hair cut before meeting up with my partner. We went to Yodobashi Camera to do some necessary shopping, and then headed to this place in the same building. This place is a well-known restaurant affiliated with Fujio Food System. We arrived around 6:30 PM, and the restaurant was only about 30% full, possibly due to the current situation. Many other shops in this tenant were also empty. We both ordered the tempura set meal for 970 yen each. I added an extra egg for 110 yen. After a while, the food was served, and we were told to remove our masks. The tempura set meal included shrimp, white fish, pumpkin, lotus root, okra, rice, and miso soup. The size of the tempura pieces seemed a bit small compared to the size of the plate... The main shrimp tempura lacked the desired firmness, but it was still satisfying. However, the highlight of the meal was the all-you-can-eat mentaiko (spicy cod roe) which I couldn't resist. Mentaiko is usually expensive, and I don't eat it often at home, but I'm always drawn to all-you-can-eat offers. The mentaiko here was slightly spicy, which I enjoyed. When I realized there was no salt on the table as I was about to eat the last piece of egg tempura, I came up with the idea of topping it with mentaiko! And it was delicious! The attentive and cheerful service from the manager, who seemed to notice the customers' needs well, added to the pleasant dining experience. In these times, lingering is unnecessary. After finishing our meal, we quickly left and paid at the counter. There were slightly more customers by the time we left. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. I might come back again!

There is a restaurant in the Yodobashi Camera dining area in Umeda. I ordered a tempura bowl with 2 shrimp tempura for 980 yen (excluding tax). The tempura bowl included 2 shrimp tempura, along with egg, squid, fish, pumpkin, and lotus root tempura. They also offer unlimited servings of mentaiko (spicy cod roe), and I had about 3 servings. If you love mentaiko, this place is a must-visit. It's reasonably priced and highly recommended.

There is a tempura restaurant in Yodobashi Camera. It has a food court-like atmosphere with a clear view from the aisle. Instead of ordering a tempura rice bowl, I chose the "Assorted Tempura Set" because you can eat as much mentaiko (spicy cod roe) as you want! The set includes two prawns, squid, white fish, two types of vegetables, rice, and miso soup (no pickles or side dishes, so the photo looks plain). The prawn tempura is delicious and has a nice texture! You can choose between multigrain rice or white rice for the set, but I think white rice goes better with mentaiko... Am I the only one? Also, is it just me or is it expensive to pay 150 yen for a large portion of rice? It's free to get extra tempura pieces though...

Today's lunch was at Ebino-ya, where I was delighted to find unlimited mentaiko (spicy cod roe) even though it was a tempura restaurant. The mentaiko is a generous service made possible by the merger with Fukuiichi. I ordered the popular set meal, which was a feast of tempura. While the luxurious tempura bowl was tempting, if you're here to enjoy mentaiko, it's better to choose the 15-grain rice over the rice with tempura sauce. I ended up focusing more on the mentaiko than the tempura today (laughs). The main tempura dishes included lotus root, okra, shishito pepper, smelt fish, squid, eggplant, and two shrimp, all served with tempura sauce. Although it would have been nice to have salt for dipping, all the tempura was delicious and crispy. Thank you for the meal. Both the tempura and the mentaiko were delicious (laughs).
