Near Keihan Hirakatashi Station, there is a cozy Japanese craft beer bar called "Guest Tadaima." The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a daily selection of 6 varieties of draft beer and around 70 types of bottled beer. They offer a daily craft beer tasting set for 2,200 yen, featuring beers like Kiwi Ale, Stout, IPA, Session Citra White, Lager, and Marika. My favorite is the IPA, "Hajimari no Oto," which has a rich hop aroma and flavor. The menu includes alcohol content and IBU (bitterness) levels. The Session Citra White is from the Beer House Hobbit brand. The food is also delicious, especially the famous beer-battered fried chicken and the smoked platter from Hirakata Smoking Company. This is a great place for solo female drinkers, with a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. It's a hidden gem that I would definitely visit again.

This is a craft beer specialty store. It had been 4 years and 3 months since my last visit. They offer 6 types of draft craft beers that change daily. I ordered the house original "Session Citra White" in a small size (200cc) along with fish & chips. The atmosphere inside was cluttered with messages written on the walls. After a long wait, the food finally arrived, consisting of a large portion of fried cod and plenty of fries. I ordered an "Indian Red Devil" half pint to go with it. The food was okay but not outstanding, and I ended up feeling a bit disappointed by the whole experience. The staff apologized for the wait as I was leaving.

It's not that I never go to Hirakata, but I rarely visit. Therefore, although I knew of this beer pub in Hirakata for a long time, I never had the chance to go. On a holiday when I decided to explore Hirakata during the day, I thought I might as well stop by this place before heading home. It was my first visit. The restaurant is located beyond the nostalgic Showa-era scenery of Kawaramachi shopping street, which gives off a vibe reminiscent of a scene from an old movie. The town itself has a charming atmosphere. When I arrived, the place had just opened, so I was the only customer at first. A few more customers trickled in later. I found it easy to find a seat at the counter even as a solo diner. The craft beers available were listed on a blackboard at the counter, indicating they were daily specials. Well, that's pretty standard for craft beer places. I ordered the Hirakata beer produced by this establishment in a pint glass. For food, I ordered the Plain Tortilla for 550 yen. The owner warned me it was quite a large portion, asking if I was sure I could handle it, as it contained four eggs. Impressed by the value, I said it was fine and placed my order. When it arrived, I was surprised by the generous portion. It was a thick omelette filled with plenty of fluffy potatoes. Truly a great deal. As I chatted with the owner, I learned that he was passionate about revitalizing Hirakata, organizing and hosting beer events near Hirakata Station. I could sense his dedication to the local community, which I found admirable. I imagine it must be tough for them during the pandemic, but I hope they continue to persevere. Thank you for the meal.

I visited for the first time on a Sunday evening. There were 6 types of craft beer on tap listed on the whiteboard. I started with the Kyoto Brewing, Shitouryu (7%) for a toast. The basic price for a pint is 980 yen, but this one is an additional 290 yen. It's strong and delicious! It's like a Saison IPA style with a good richness and a nice aftertaste. Since I came all the way to Moriguchi, I also had a refill of Moriguchi Beer (No. 3) and enjoyed some onion rings. Thank you for the meal.

This is a bar located after walking through a somewhat run-down restaurant street from Hirakata Station. Here, you can always enjoy Hirakata Beer, which is probably only available in Hirakata. Hirakata Beer is a craft beer produced by this bar and manufactured by a brewery in Niigata. It seems to be classified as a White Ale. If you like Hoegaarden and similar beers, I recommend it. You can also get it at the food section of Tsutaya near the station, but you have to get off at Keihan anyway, so why not stop by for a drink! They always have 6 types of draft beer, so you can also do some taste comparisons! The ones I tried this time were Totoro Beer The Cannonball IPA, Hokkaido Brewery Cherry & Berry Reflector Beer, and Uguisu Saison.

This is a place where you can enjoy domestic craft beers on a rotating basis. They also have a sister store called Gallette where you can find international beers. The walls are covered with messages from customers. The prices are a bit high, with a small size (200ml) costing 550 yen, a half pint (274ml) costing 700 yen, and a full pint (473ml) costing 980 yen. The first beer I tried was from Kyoto Brewing, a black beer. I ordered a dish called "Niratama" and when I asked for a beer that would pair well with it, I was recommended the Tainai Kogen Beer. The "Niratama" turned out to be a fluffy omelette with chives, which was surprisingly delicious. There are warnings posted in the restaurant about bicycle theft, so be cautious if you plan to ride your bike there.

"Hirakata Kankochou Castle Town" drinking district, Kawaramachi series 9th edition. After enjoying some sake, I happened to come across this place a couple blocks away and decided to stop by. I mistakenly thought it was near Keihan Katano Line Miyano-Saka Station, as I had originally planned to visit here after dining at Western food restaurant Karin. Although a bit older, this place was featured in the "Amakara Techou October 2014 Issue" special on the Keihan Line. The interior felt narrower than it looked from the outside, with an L-shaped counter on the right side from the entrance and table seating on the left. The young master, who resembled Oriyagi Fujimori, and a cute female staff of two were running the place. The regular customers included an elderly lady resembling Fujiko Heming, a middle-aged man, all seemingly familiar with each other. The whiteboard displayed the day's draft beer selection. So, they had about 6 beers on tap, and I decided to start with a local one. - Hirakata Beer Session Nelson Brown: A craft beer created by this place. It had a deep brown color like an ale, with a good balance of richness and bitterness. - Kuninocho Beer Kijou Gold from Jyuku Shuzo (Takatsuki City): Established in 1822 (Meiji 15), this brewery near Hankyu Tomita Station started producing local beers in 1995 (Heisei 7). The one I tried was made by adding sake to the beer after primary fermentation, incorporating the brewing method of Kijou sake. It has won gold at the Japan Asia Beer Competition 2011, along with awards from the Osaka Governor and Mayor. Being a beer brewed by a sake brewery, it was naturally delicious. They presented the bill on a tablet and the total came to 1,200 yen. I would like to revisit when the taps are changed. I visited a place with a friend who wanted to drink Hirakata Beer. This place seems to be the only one where you can drink local beer on tap. We enjoyed various beers, including Hirakata Beer and Koedo Beer, which change daily and are all delicious. The prices are a bit high, around 700 yen for a half pint of local beer. The snacks were also tasty, ranging from junk food like potato fries to rice dishes like pizza. On that day, they had avocado and shirako pizza, which was particularly delicious.

I visited a restaurant in Kawaramachi where you can enjoy beers from around the world. I went there with the intention of having just one drink after eating a lot and since it was already past midnight. The restaurant was open until 2:00 AM. They served peanuts as a snack. Despite being full, I ordered some burdock chips to nibble on. I ordered a Hoegaarden beer to drink. Hoegaarden had a refreshing taste and was easy to drink. Even though I had already had plenty of beer before visiting, the Hoegaarden was light and easy to drink. The burdock chips had a crispy texture and were delicious. My stomach was already full, so I had just one drink and left the restaurant. There were other beers I wanted to try, so I plan to visit again with a bit more room in my stomach next time.

I discovered this Spanish bar on a whim and have visited it a few times since then. It's a small shop located a short walk from Keihan Hirakata-shi Station, with a couple of table seats and counter seats, creating a relaxing atmosphere where you can easily spend a lot of time. They have a variety of drinks, including unique beers from around the world. Even though I can't drink, I enjoy looking at the different beer bottles from various countries. The food ranges from small snacks to hearty dishes like pasta, pizza, and paella, with a wide variety to choose from. They also offer courses and all-you-can-drink options. Among the dishes I've tried, I particularly like the avocado mentaiko cheese bake. The paella was also delicious. I highly recommend the cheese platter as well! I look forward to going back and enjoying a leisurely meal there again.

I visited this place after drinking at a nearby shop with a friend. Personally, I think it's a good place for a second round. The food menu mainly consists of snacks, so it might be a bit unsatisfying if you come here straight from dinner. On this day, we had eaten and drank quite a bit during the first round, so we just ordered olives as a snack here. They have a wide variety of beers from around the world, which made me, a beer lover, very happy. Despite it being the second round, I probably had about 5 beers... The beer prices are not that high, so it's easy to try different types of beers when you feel like it. I think it's a convenient place to visit when you want to drink various kinds of beer!

I went to the second bar after a company party, so I didn't eat much, but the food was better than I expected. I liked that there were many types of wine that you could drink by the glass. There are several types of red and white wine available. The prices are reasonable. They also seem to have a variety of beers. It's nice to snack on small dishes while drinking, but you can also order paella for a small group or a large group, although it takes time, the taste is quite good. This time, my companion ate most of the food, so I can't report in detail, but I definitely want to go back again.

A newly opened restaurant targeted towards young people! The staff, dressed in clean uniforms, are young with innocent smiles, giving off the impression of "We opened this place as a hobby (sorry if that's rude?? Sorry T_T)". The dishes are served in small plates with average taste, the service could be improved, and there is a variety of beers from around the world to enjoy. The portions are small so the prices are not high, but it feels a bit lacking... The person who seems to be the manager says, "We are still rough around the edges, but we will continue to change the food and atmosphere! Please give us your feedback." Good luck...
