The parking is at a nearby parking lot. Another new Doki Doki Udon shop has opened♪ Among the recent Doki Doki Udon shops that have a playful quality, this one was a hit (lol). It was really delicious and the service was outstanding, so I highly recommend this place. If you're looking for a new shop, I recommend Fujioke and this place. The meat udon costs 650 yen. The meat that falls apart easily is delicious and of good quality. The noodles are a type that doesn't overlap much with other shops. I like the noodles with a good chewy texture. The tempura is crispy. They also gave a rice ball as a service for kids. The white rice is really delicious.

This is a restaurant that I found on a collective signboard of surrounding shops, located just before Atsuta no Mori Park while heading towards Kokura on Prefectural Route 296. I was surprised to see a meat udon shop in this area, as I had no idea it existed. I tried to look for it out of curiosity, but couldn't find the shop, so I thought it might have closed down. Later on, I was planning to have eel for my annual spring celebration day, but due to work, I didn't have enough time to go to a famous place in the southern part of the prefecture. I didn't want to risk getting stuck in traffic on the highway, so I searched for a place that I could reach after work. That's when I came across "Unagiya Kazan" in Kita-Ku, Kokura. I decided to go there as it was close by. When I arrived at the restaurant, I was surprised to see that right next to it was "Niku Udon Ichirin." I had no idea it was here. I decided to come back the following week to try the niku udon. The restaurant is located near Sanribu Atsuta store, across the Itabitsukawa River, at the second intersection on the left. The interior was clean, and I noticed two women in their 40s running the place. I ordered the meat udon for 650 yen. The bowl was made of slightly thick pottery, with meat and green onions as toppings. The broth was a light brown color with a hint of transparency, and there were small oil droplets floating on top. The noodles were smooth and slightly thin, with a firm texture that required some effort to chew. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the grated ginger added a nice touch to the dish. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

Genre: Udon, Local Gourmet Area: Kanekotori-cho, Kokurakita-ku, Kitakyushu City Access: Less than 15 minutes by car from JR Minami-Kurume Station Parking: Not available Credit card payment: Not available Frequency of use: First time Number of reviews: 1st visit On this day, I happened to visit "Niku Udon Ichirin" in Kokurakita-ku, Kitakyushu City. Exterior and Interior: This udon restaurant is located in Kanekotori-cho, Kokurakita-ku, Kitakyushu City, and it seems to have opened recently, as it is located next to an eel restaurant. The exterior gives the impression of being very narrow, and the interior is as expected. It has a standard atmosphere with background music and is non-smoking inside. Seating: There are 7 counter seats. Menu: They offer Niku Udon, without soba, with tempura, and with rice. The "Oroshi Niku Udon" caught my attention. I ordered the following: - Niku Udon (650 yen) including tax. Today, I had some work in Yahata Higashi-ku. I was complaining about how long it would continue and thinking about retiring soon. I ordered the standard option, choosing the noodles with firm texture. The visual presentation is on the darker side, but the broth tasted unique, probably because it seemed to have a lot of simmered meat extract. However, it doesn't taste messy, and I assume they simmered it well. The main highlight is the meat, which is tender and has a fibrous texture, a classic touch that pairs well with white rice. The ginger is served in small dishes, and the freshness is outstanding. Although I usually prefer a different serving style, the freshness of the ginger is excellent. It might have been a coincidence, but serving it in small dishes may help maintain its freshness, and if the freshness is good, you don't need to take much. Maybe they calculated everything. Strong Points: There's excitement in unexpected places! Service: Average. Overall: There are some points of emphasis, such as the absence of red pepper and only offering pickled daikon, which may appeal to those with various preferences. Overall, it was good considering the price. It would be nice if they could serve rice balls individually instead of on one plate. Thank you for the meal!

I don't usually eat Kitakyushu-style meat udon, but I felt like having it after a long time, so I visited this newly opened shop. I'm happy that they have chikuwa tempura as a topping! The udon tastes good too. I'll definitely come back when I feel like having Kitakyushu-style meat udon again! 😄

Next to the eel restaurant Kazan, which I really like, a new meat udon restaurant called Ichirin opened. I parked my car at a nearby coin parking and walked 30 seconds to get there. The interior of the restaurant is long and narrow with a counter seating for 7. I pressed the call button in front of me and ordered the meat udon verbally. The meat udon arrived. The noodles are somewhat thin with a good chewiness, not too firm but more on the smooth and chewy side. The soup is mild, not too intense, which could be a bit stronger in my opinion, but it seems to be intentionally set that way. The meat is tender, delicious, and there is a lot of it. It's almost like a meat feast in the meat udon. On the table, there is regular chili pepper instead of hawk's claw, and it is labeled as "extra hot." When you add the extra hot chili pepper, it does make it spicy, but it also slightly changes the flavor. The girl working at the restaurant is very friendly and cute. She is not wearing glasses. Great service!
