I visited "Kani-ya @ Tako Jizo (Kishiwada)" in December 2010 at 6:00 PM. Belated Happy New Year! I apologize for not reviewing the "tsukemen" but my partner wanted to eat crab, so we found this place online. The restaurant was not crowded when we arrived, and we ordered the "Live Taraba Crab Full Course" for two people. The dishes included crab vinegar, grilled crab, crab sashimi, crab hot pot, crab rice porridge, tempura lotus root, and crab miso. The food was delicious, especially the grilled crab and crab sashimi. The restaurant was like a seafood market with live crabs in a tank. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was cozy. Overall, it was a great experience and I would recommend this place for a special occasion.

Kishiwada, Tako Yakushi, "Kani Toya". This is a story from a time when it was still cold, and both crabs and coronavirus were rampant, but there was no ban on drinking. I wanted to eat crabs to my heart's content after a long time. Due to the current situation, it's hard to travel far. Is there a good place nearby? It seems expensive. So, I searched online and found a restaurant called "Kani Toya" in a somewhat rural area near Tako Yakushi Station in Kishiwada City. Unfortunately, the crabs were frozen due to various reasons. That's understandable. So, a friend and I decided to take a trip on the Nankai Main Line after a long time. Tako Yakushi Station was a new stop for us. From there, we headed east, east. Oh, it looks nice here. On a weekday afternoon, there were few customers. We easily found seats. Now, what should we order? Initially, I thought of ordering individual items because I have a low digestion and I drink alcohol, but then I thought, why not go for the grilled crab course? So, cheers. Finally, we could drink alcohol again amidst the coronavirus. Phew. We immediately had crab vinegar as an appetizer. While chatting, the grilling was ready. They couldn't grill everything at once. After a while, a good smell started wafting around. Yes, it's crab after all. Very delicious. Crabs taste amazing when grilled. The aroma is strong too. There were quite a lot of them. It was a sufficient amount for my digestion. We chatted and drank leisurely. It was a great time. Crab tempura arrived. This was also very delicious. It was piping hot. I was worried it might be too much for me, but it was so delicious that I finished it. And then, I ended up ordering crab miso as well. It was very delicious. A perfect accompaniment to alcohol. Finally, we finished with rice porridge. It was very delicious. I was already full. It was a small portion, but still delicious. I didn't have to travel far to satisfy my crab craving. The pricing was very reasonable. Thank you for the feast. I enjoyed a full course meal. I was so satisfied that I forgot to take a picture of the hot pot. There was so much crab, crab, crab. And all at this price!? The atmosphere was also amazing. You can relax and enjoy your meal. In this day and age where the price of crab (and seafood in general) is continuously rising, it's hard to find a place where you can enjoy crab at this price all year round! If you want to eat crab, don't hesitate to visit this restaurant. It's a place I want to go to every year.

This is a valuable restaurant where you can enjoy fresh crab all year round, located in Izuminami. The food is surprisingly delicious and the prices are cheap! The fact that the crabs are alive makes them even tastier. It's perfect for dates or entertaining guests, and there are benefits for members. I won't explain the crab dishes, but they are just delicious! You can see for yourself in the photos, I'm not lying! You will definitely be satisfied! I recommend the grilled crab and crab hot pot! Even crabs that are not in season are delicious! ^_^

When it comes to Kishiwada, it's all about the crab wholesaler. With a large fish tank filled with plenty of crabs, you know they will be delicious. I always go for the Taraba crab because it's easy to eat, but I recommend trying the full course meal with sashimi, grilled crab, and hot pot. The crab hot pot is a must-try! The broth is incredibly delicious! And the final dish, a rice porridge made with that broth, is the best part of the full course meal. No matter how full you are, you have to try this porridge!
