I went to buy opera pastries for the first time instead of always receiving them from acquaintances! There were so many delicious-looking items that I ended up buying over 4,000 yen worth even though I didn't buy a cake. I bought rusks as souvenirs, but I regret not buying some for myself... I guess I'll have to go again during the summer vacation.

My nephew wanted to eat a delicious cake, so we rushed to this bakery nearby. It was almost closing time, but they still had some cake left. I quickly bought a cake and also treated myself to a cream puff on the way back. The cream puff had a crispy shell and was filled with delicious cream. It was a treat!

Celebrating the 25th anniversary is wonderful! This is a longstanding local shop loved by locals and others. We received congratulatory flowers from Hakata Hanamaru and Daikichi. Inside the case, there were many delicious-looking cakes lined up. I forgot to take a picture of them.

It has been famous for a long time. I was planning to buy it as a souvenir for my relatives, but their plans suddenly changed, so it became an unexpected souvenir for my home^^;(laughs) It costs around 180 yen per piece and is prepared in large quantities at the store. They fill the cream in after receiving the order. The cream puffs from Yagiyama Pass Egg Shop are also delicious, but this shop is also famous. I had it for the first time in a while, and the pastry is crispy and the custard cream is plentiful, almost overflowing. The taste is delicious, and the cost performance is quite high, which is great. My family was also happy, and it was a good reminder of how delicious it is^^ (laughs)

On February 17th, it was our wedding (registration) anniversary, so after finishing work, I went to buy something sweet. When it comes to sweets, the first place that comes to mind is the main store of "Opera" in Hakomatsu Shinmachi. Since it was nearby and I had occasionally bought birthday cakes there, I went to the Matsuzaki store because the main store had been temporarily closed since December 20th. I bought 4 cakes, including ones for my wife and daughters. I got a seasonal tart with strawberries (600 yen excluding tax) for my wife, a matcha tiramisu (430 yen, same) for my 5th grader who loves matcha, and a cute "strawberry-chan" (390 yen, same) for my 2nd grader. As for myself, I chose the Fromage (380 yen excluding tax). Fromage is originally a French word that means cheese, but it is often used to refer to cheesecake in a fancy way. Opera's Fromage is also a cheesecake with raspberries and blueberries on top, giving it a stylish finish. When I tried it, it had a unique cheesecake flavor with a balance of acidity and sweetness. The acidity of the berries on top added a nice accent. Since the nearby main store was closed, I purposely went to the Matsuzaki store, but I always end up buying Opera's sweets because they are consistently good. I'm sure I'll rely on them again in the future.

I had the pleasure of trying the default pure fresh roll at a fancy cake shop that suddenly appeared along the Todorokigawa River. It had a fluffy appearance and a light taste. I wonder if it's a roll cake that you can eat as much as you want???

I went for a jog and stumbled upon a lovely cake shop. The cream puffs looked delicious, so I bought some to take home. The cream in the cream puffs had a unique and delicious taste. It seemed to have a sour cream-like element in the custard base, which was different from regular custard. It was quite impressive. I also bought a cheese-filled doughnut, which was elegant. Overall, the cream puffs that caught my eye on the sign were truly amazing. Thank you for the meal.

Opera is famous for its fluffy roll cakes, but in autumn, Mont Blanc is a must-have. The interior of the shop is decorated in Halloween colors, making it very lively. There were various Halloween cakes available as well. Today, I had the Mont Blanc. The chestnut cream is probably made with whole chestnuts, as it has a rich flavor. A whole chestnut sits in the middle of the cake on a small sponge cake, covered beautifully with chestnut cream. I cut it in half and took a big bite. The chestnut, with its presence in the soft cream, was incredibly delicious. It was not too sweet and paired well with tea. Oh, it's definitely autumn. I also bought an apple pie, which was filled with plenty of apples and had a lovely cinnamon aroma. This apple pie is a more adult version, without custard cream, allowing you to fully enjoy the apples. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Today, I visited Opera San for a walk. The outside of the shop looked new and clean, with a parking lot, and it seemed to be popular as there were many customers. Inside, the shop was spacious, with a section for baked goods on the right, a showcase for cream puffs on the left, and a showcase for cakes in the front. This time, I got the Hamada cream puff and Engadine. I love Engadine among baked goods, but it's hard to find in shops, so I always buy it when I see it (laughs). The cream puff was large, filling the palm of my hand. It was heavy, with plenty of cream inside. The surface was coated with sugar crystals, providing a crunchy texture. The custard cream was very smooth and light, making it easy to eat as many as you want. And it was around 200 yen, I think. The Engadine was a bit light and disappointing, but it was also around 200 yen, so it's understandable. I prefer a richer and denser texture, but that's just my preference. They also had fresh doughnuts and cakes, and the prices seemed reasonable. I will definitely visit again!

I ran around from Chikugo to Fukuoka City, and then to Higashi Ward, finally arriving at Opera Matsuzaki, a cake shop recommended by my family. I'm not very knowledgeable about sweets, but I had heard of this shop's name in a magazine or something. I bought a chocolate tart and enjoyed it at home. I like chocolate desserts, and this one wasn't too sweet, so it was perfect for me. I wish I had bought some other items to try as well, as I still regret not doing so.

I bought Hamada cream puff and soft cheese. The cream puff is slightly smaller than a fist, with plenty of cream. The slightly moist choux pastry is sprinkled with sugar pearls. The custard cream has a slightly fruity flavor and a gentle sweetness. It's a light cream puff, so you can eat it in one go! As for the soft cheese, I was surprised by the first bite! It has a crispy texture, followed by the cheese melting in the mouth. It consists of two layers of souffle cheesecake and sponge cake, with the souffle cheesecake on top having a fantastic melt-in-your-mouth sensation! You can slightly taste the sweetness of honey and the acidity of lemon. I just want to eat this cheesecake alone!

I haven't been there, but I often receive cakes as souvenirs or thank-you gifts. They are more cute to look at than delicious.
