I love the Fortnum & Mason tea and always drink it, so I've been wanting to visit this place where you can enjoy their tea and afternoon tea. However, it's a system where you can't make a reservation and have to go to the store, write your name down, and wait inside. So I haven't been able to visit because my schedule didn't match up. On this day, there was only one group waiting and we were able to get in after a short wait of about 30 minutes. The long-awaited afternoon tea ♡ You can choose your cakes from samples, and this time I chose the Strawberry Tart, Cardinal, Sachertorte, and Cheesecake. We were a party of two, and they served four different scone flavors (plain, Earl Grey, chocolate, maple) so we wouldn't get the same ones. They bring the scones warm, so I recommend eating them while they're still warm! When you eat them warm, they don't have that dry feeling that scones often do, and they're quite delicious ♡♡ The jam and clotted cream are also very delicious, so be sure to have them with your scones! The Sachertorte was of such high quality that it could beat cakes from regular cake shops, with a rich chocolate taste that wasn't too sweet, which I liked ♡ The whipped cream used in the cakes is also of very high quality (o^^o). The cheesecake was so soft and creamy that it surprised me! But it didn't have the tanginess of a New York-style cheesecake, it tasted more like a baked cheesecake (*^^*). The sandwiches were cucumber, pastrami beef, and smoked salmon, with dill in the salmon which added a nice flavor ☆ I would love to visit again if I have the time ♡

The cafe was very popular and there was a long wait, so this time I bought some tea to take home for everyday use. The taste is average. It's a flavor that you wouldn't get tired of drinking every day. The cakes looked delicious, so I would like to come back again to try the afternoon tea.

When I was tired from shopping, I found it very convenient to have a break in the middle of Tenjin. I had never really been into tea before, but on this day I really wanted to relax with a delicious cup of tea, so I came here. From the outside, it looked like a cramped space where people might be packed in, but when I went inside, it wasn't very spacious, but the seating was arranged with enough space to enjoy tea leisurely. It was surprising because it was different from the image I had from the outside. I ordered a cake set with tea, and for an additional charge, I could have a pot of tea, so I opted for the pot. I had a Mont Blanc and a Queen Anne cake, and I was able to fully enjoy my tea time. Since there are not many seats and people tend to stay for a long time, if it's full, it might be better to go elsewhere. Most people were just chatting and not really moving around, so it felt like the seats were occupied even though there was no tea or snacks left. I would like to visit again when it seems to be less crowded.

HKT48×JR Kyushu Everyone's Kyushu Project aims to complete Fukuoka, Saga, and Oita prefectures with digital stamps received. After successfully completing Fukuoka and Saga prefectures, only Oita prefecture remains. On this day, take a break in Hakata and its surroundings. Enjoy a morning filled with breakfast, followed by a coordinated lunch. Afternoon snack also coordinated. Fifth generation member Rino Sakamoto bought a Christmas cake at Fortnum & Mason in Mitsukoshi underground mall. I thought it was a cake shop, but it turned out to be a tea shop. The entrance of the store has many cans of tea. There is a café space in the back where you can enjoy cake sets, etc. Since we visited late, around 5 pm, there was only one type of chestnut cake available. When shown the menu, there were many names of tea lined up, but honestly I didn't understand them well. I was recommended a tea that goes well with chestnut cake, but ended up choosing Christmas Spicy Tea. The cake set is 1,000 yen, but with Christmas Spicy Tea, it is served in a pot for an additional 400 yen. After a short wait, it arrived. The elegant chestnut cake was smooth and delicious. Especially since the taste of the curry I had for lunch was still lingering in my mouth, something sweet was good. The Christmas Spicy Tea was indeed spicy as the name suggests. Not only a tea pot, but also a tea pot was provided for when it becomes stronger. So, I felt like I was drinking tea quite slowly. The other customers around, despite it being December, were calm and elegant.

Fortnum & Mason, located on the B2F of Fukuoka Mitsukoshi, holds the title of "Royal Warrant" as an official supplier to the British royal family, with their main store in the heart of London.
◼️Order items:
- Cake set [1100 yen] (Choose from 6 types of cakes with tea from Tea List)
- Royal Blend: A signature tea from Fortnum & Mason, known for its deep flavor and honey-like taste. It can be enjoyed straight or with milk.
- Fresh Cake: The cakes here are unique with tea leaves incorporated into them. The fluffy texture and delicious taste of the cakes reflect the high quality of the tea leaves carefully selected by experienced tea blenders.
The service was impeccable, with a pot of tea served along with additional hot water. The staff provided elegant and welcoming hospitality, fitting for a sophisticated tea salon. They also offer a variety of tea-related products for purchase, making it a great place to buy gifts. Overall, Fortnum & Mason provides a luxurious and unforgettable experience that is within reach.

I visited Fortnum & Mason in Fukuoka Mitsukoshi underground in Tenjin, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City after a long time. On this day, I purchased the following items:
- Scones (tea, cranberry. Each 240 yen excluding tax)
- Victoria Sandwich Cake (450 yen excluding tax)
I brought them home and tried them immediately. The scones have a moist texture rather than crunchy or crumbly. They are not too sweet, so they go well with jam. They are delicious and go well with tea. The Victoria Sandwich Cake was a bit disappointing. It consists of sponge cake with white chocolate cream and strawberries sandwiched in between. The traditional Victoria Sandwich Cake is supposed to be a simple cake with jam sandwiched between sponge cake layers. This cake was a bit too fancy for my liking, although it was tasty. It was quite different from what I had imagined. The scones were delicious though.
I will visit Fortnum & Mason again.

I stopped by at Mitsukoshi and decided to have a light afternoon tea at the basement tea salon. The atmosphere is stylish, but being underground lacks a sense of openness. The mini afternoon tea set I ordered included 3 sandwiches, 1 scone, and a choice of cake from the display case. I opted for the classic Victoria Sandwich Cake, which was beautifully presented with fruits. The scones were served warm with clotted cream and jam. The tea selection was extensive, and I chose the Royal Blend. The staff served the first pot, and subsequent refills were self-served. The simple yet elegant tableware had the Fortnum & Mason symbol color on the back. The finger sandwiches were delicious, especially the smoked salmon and roast beef ones. Overall, it was a satisfying and indulgent experience, despite the high price. I enjoyed the convenience of stopping by for a petite luxury treat during my shopping trip. I look forward to visiting again. Thank you for the lovely tea time experience!

I enjoyed a leisurely morning tea with elegant black tea instead of having a Hakata-style breakfast. There were three morning menu options to choose from, so I shared them all! We had scones, sandwiches, and a curry-flavored open sandwich. When combined, it became an afternoon tea set. Since we shared, we were able to taste everything! Everyone enjoyed the curry-flavored open sandwich. We also ordered a pot of black tea as an extra. You can also choose your favorite cake for an additional fee, which is a great deal. It turned into a full afternoon tea set. The tea salon was quiet with no other customers when it opened, so we were able to enjoy our morning tea slowly. I remember when I went to the original shop in England, it was so crowded that I had to wait a long time and ended up leaving. This time, I feel like I was able to have my revenge.

On a Sunday afternoon, I was wandering around in Tenjin doing some shopping after having a late breakfast. It was around 2 pm, and I started to feel a little hungry. I felt like having tea instead of coffee today. I searched on Google and found a place called Fortnum & Mason. It's a shop known for originating Scotch eggs, although they didn't have any. I was guided to the seating area by a staff member dressed like a maid. They had a wide variety of tea options, and after much consideration, I chose Assam with milk and a set of two scones. The tea was served in a pot without the tea leaves, so you can adjust the strength by adding hot water. I like my tea strong, so I made it into a milk tea. The aroma was lovely. The scones came with jam and clotted cream, and I generously spread the cream on top, as is the British way. It was a delightful experience, savoring the milk tea along with the rich flavors. The atmosphere inside was cozy, despite the small space and the bustling street outside. It was a peaceful place. I'll work hard to come back next time for the Afternoon Tea set (which is pricey).

I met up with an acquaintance at F&M in Tenjin, Fukuoka for afternoon tea. They offer two types of afternoon tea sets, and we opted for the cheaper one. The set included chai tea which was elegant with a mild spice flavor. The tableware was simple with a white base and a touch of light green accent. The set had enough for two people with one cake, one scone, and three sandwiches per person. Everything was delicious, but I felt like I could have used a bit more, maybe an extra cake or scone.

After shopping at the canal, I stopped by a place that I had been curious about for a while and had a drink before heading home. ... Of course, it was tea. There were cakes lined up in the glass case at the entrance of the shop, so at first I was thinking of getting a cake set, but when I found out that the cakes were made by Juchheim, I quickly changed my mind and just had the tea. I ordered a lapsang souchong. It's a rare tea that you don't see often outside of specialty shops. The tea has a smoky aroma and tastes like Russian Caravan tea. However, the one here is quite mild. There is usually enough hot water in the pot for about two cups, and they also gave me extra hot water in case the tea gets too strong over time. The first cup went down smoothly, but the second cup started to have a bit of bitterness, and when I added hot water to the remaining tea in the pot, the third cup was quite bitter. I realized that it's best to just stop at two cups without being stingy. I think this lapsang souchong here is a beginner-friendly version. However, as someone who has gotten used to the strong Russian Caravan tea, I couldn't help but feel like... it didn't quite hit the spot! I'll try a different tea next time.

This is a shop located in front of the underground entrance of Fukuoka Mitsukoshi. It seems that it was moved from inside Mitsukoshi after another cafe closed. As a tea salon with a royal warrant from the British royal family, the interior has a stylish atmosphere. It was lunchtime, so I decided to have lunch here. The lunch options include roast beef (1296 yen including tax) with bread and a drink, colorful tomato caprese garden salad (1296 yen including tax) with scone and a drink, coronation chicken (864 yen including tax) with salad, and more. There were also cake sets available. I ordered the roast beef set (1296 yen including tax). It came with a small portion of mashed potatoes, salad, and toast. The toast wasn't buttered, so I would have liked some jam on the side. The roast beef looked nice, but the taste was just average. I usually only drink iced coffee, but this time I decided to go for iced tea. The tea served with the lunch set seems to be the "Royal Blend." Looking at the menu, the afternoon tea set looked delicious. It's a bit lonely to have it alone, so I might invite a friend who loves tea.

(2016/7) FORTNUM & MAISON, a renowned high-end food brand appointed by the British royal family known for its tea, served us a whole apple pie this time. Thank you very much! The pie was generously coated with apricot and marmalade, giving it a glossy appearance. When sliced, the scent of cinnamon spread gently. The pie crust was not the flaky type but rather firm and buttery, which I liked. Inside, the apples were left chunky and retained their shape, with a subtle sweetness that was delicious. I have not had tea at the café attached to the store yet, so I would like to visit next time for tea or afternoon tea. Thank you for the meal!
(2015/3) ~Feeling a little like having afternoon tea with scones~ To complement the Japanese black tea I had the other day, I decided to purchase my favorite scones. I chose to go to FORTNUM & MAISON, an establishment appointed by the British royal family. While the main store is in Piccadilly... I absolutely love having afternoon tea at hotels and such because it's such an elegant experience. The scones I bought this time were each priced at 216 yen: Plain *2, Orange Peel *2, Black Tea *1. I lightly reheated them in a toaster, split them in half, and wanted to enjoy them with clotted cream and jam, but due to a month of moderation and considering my body a bit, I decided to have them with trendy coconut oil (laughs). The simplicity of the plain scone, the refreshing taste of the orange peel, the black tea... they all paired well. I enjoyed them with a refreshing Japanese black tea. Thank you for the meal!
