In the morning, it was raining, but it became cloudy in the afternoon. I found out later that it's difficult to buy from this popular shop without a reservation, so I regretted not making one. However, there was no line on this day, perhaps due to the mediocre weather. It was around 12:45 pm on a Sunday. There were some items sold out, so the selection was limited to what was available. The prices range from 300 yen to the 400 yen range for bread and baked goods. Here are my thoughts on some of the items I tried: - Calpis butter salt bagel: It had a good amount of butter which I liked. - Pineapple and cream cheese bagel: Simply delicious. - Sesame dumpling-style mixed grain hard bread: It was interesting with a mochi (sesame dumpling) inside. - Chocolate ganache and cookies & cream baguette, Yogurt with sesame paste: These were unique and interesting. - Organic matcha and adzuki bean paste scone: It was more like a dense cake, and I was a bit underwhelmed. - Carrot chocolate cake with yeast: I preferred my own homemade carrot cake. - Pistachio financier: It was okay, but I've had better ones elsewhere. Overall, the bread was decent, but the sweets were a bit disappointing. It may just be a matter of personal preference. I might prefer the other bakery in Fukushima. If it's a Sunday again, I might visit this one.

I took a paid day off on Monday to renew my driver's license, and another purpose was to purchase bread at Omar Bakery. Omar Bakery operates irregularly 8-10 days a month. I checked the business days posted on Instagram once a month and scheduled my visit. Right after attending the excellent training at Fukushima Police, I headed straight to Omar Bakery. Despite being 10 minutes before opening, there were already a few people lining up. I purchased the following bread items: Caramel Nut and Crich Yeast Scone Sandwich ¥350 (¥378), Parmesan Cheese Basil Baguette ¥280 (¥302), Bechamel Corn Dog ¥430 (¥464), Basil Mozzarella Cheese and Kamakura Bacon Multigrain ¥450 (¥486), and Organic Honey and Fermented Butter Financier ¥280 (¥302). After returning home, I eagerly opened the individually wrapped bags. The bread had a wonderful aroma. Omar Bakery's bread is made using homemade natural yeast, which takes time and effort. They use various types of yeast, including Poppy Seed, Levain, Yogurt Yeast, Raisin Yeast, Sake Yeast, and occasionally a small amount of yeast. The bread made with homemade natural yeast has a unique presence, as if it were alive. The Caramel Nut and Crich Yeast Scone Sandwich is a popular item that sells out within 30 minutes of opening. The scone dough has a crunchy texture and a mild sweetness. The caramelized nuts – walnuts, almonds, cashews, etc. – and the rich cream cheese create a deep and refreshing flavor. It was truly delicious and filling. The Parmesan Cheese Basil Baguette has a lovely aroma of Genovese sauce soaked in olive oil with the saltiness and umami of Parmesan cheese. The Genovese sauce does not pale in comparison to the deliciousness of the baguette. The Bechamel Corn Dog has a crispy corn exterior with a light bechamel sauce filled with a voluminous sausage. The Basil Mozzarella Cheese and Kamakura Bacon Multigrain bread has a chewy texture with the savory taste and saltiness of bacon, the freshness of basil, and the richness of cheese. It's a delicious side dish bread made from natural ingredients. The Organic Honey and Fermented Butter Financier was purchased for my husband, who loves financiers. It has a fragrant, buttery taste with a gentle sweetness of honey. Omar Bakery sells out around 1:00 PM, so I recommend making a reservation. They have a reservation-only menu, and they do not accept reservations for evening hours. If my schedule aligns with their business days, I would love to visit again. I prefer the dough used for the bean butter to be a little softer, but it turned out well after reheating. The bagel was chewy with plenty of mentaiko and I really liked it, so next time I want to focus on buying bagels. The hard sesame dumpling was also very delicious, but it felt more like a confectionery than bread, so I wanted a bit more bread-like texture.

I couldn't visit this place often because they have irregular business days, but I checked on Instagram and decided to go on this day. The shop is not very big, so only about 2 groups can go inside at a time. I bought Strawberry Red Bean Butter (345 yen), Homemade Strawberry Butter and Homemade Raspberry Jam Sandwich (388 yen), Organic Tomato Chili Con Carne Dog (486 yen), and Jambon Fromage (540 yen). The bread was delicious with a rich flavor that complemented the ingredients well. Despite its wild appearance, the taste was surprisingly delicate. I need to check Instagram again to find more places like this! It was delicious~

When I arrived around 11:30 AM, there was a line of more than 10 people. After waiting for about an hour and finally entering the store, most of the bread was already sold out. I could only purchase a brownie, pistachio financiers, and Earl Grey bread. Since I couldn't choose any bread, I want to come back for a revenge!

I'm considering the bread options for a bread party and I'm really indecisive! But I wanted to try some unique bread, so this time I decided on "Omarla Bakery"☆彡. As usual, I made a reservation in advance through Instagram before visiting. - Calpis butter bagel: The dough is still deliciously chewy. It was reheated for me, but it's better not to heat it too much because the Calpis butter melts and flows out from the inside. There seems to be quite a lot of butter in it, which is sinful for a healthy bagel. - Sourdough bagel: Simple yet flavorful, just like last time! I bought three of them (˘͈ᵕ ˘͈♡)ஐ:* - Coconut milk pretzel ball: Very milky and moist, with a rich texture. A bread that goes well with milk, and it was so good that I finished it in no time. I want to eat this again! - Valrhona passion fruit, orange peel, Earl Grey yeast scone: The dough is dense and packed with fruits, and it smells great! - Focaccia with two types of cheese and freshly picked corn: The fresh corn is generously included, giving a luxurious feel with the chewy bread texture and the sweetness of the cheese. - Yamato pork wiener and fava bean focaccia: The plump Yamato pork wiener was incredibly delicious and satisfying. - Coconut curry and homemade semi-dried tomato focaccia: I love this one. The sweetness of the semi-dried tomatoes is condensed and goes perfectly with the coconut curry. - Hojicha hard bread: The fragrant hojicha dough and black beans give an adult-like taste, with a sweetness reminiscent of drinking a latte later on. - Sakura bacon, cheddar cheese, and jalapeño epi: The thin dough is crispy, but as you chew, you can taste the richness of the dough and the spiciness of the jalapeño. The saltiness of the bacon and cheese was just right, making it an adult epi. - Baguette: I bought the last one on display. The beautiful score is impressive. A simple taste that goes well with any meal. I wish it had a bit more flavor... It had a crispy texture. It's still very popular. I'll definitely visit again!

The "Homemade sourdough baguette" has a trendy flavor with a crisp texture and a fragrant whole wheat aroma. It may not be suitable for delicate dishes. The "Ooyama sausage and asparagus focaccia" has good ingredients and a well-balanced taste, making it a satisfying and delicious focaccia. The "Chestnut pumpkin, white chocolate, and walnut sourdough scone" is surprising with its restrained sweetness and visual appeal. It's easy to see why this is a popular item. The handmade products are very comforting. I visited twice with my bread-loving friends after making a reservation through Instagram for this bakery that operates twice a week. I used GW to return to Osaka for the first time in 3 years. I visited the apartment I used to live in from a distance and took a walk around the area. It was nostalgic. I still think Fukushima Ward is nice. My husband checked out some bread shops and sweet shops that caught his eye in advance, and this was one of them. We visited around 12:30, but they were already running out of items (T_T). I bought a Calpis butter salt bagel (280 yen) and a kinako cream with large red bean and rice cake (430 yen). I had the salt bagel the next morning at the hotel. I wish I had something to sandwich in it. I reheated the kinako cream with large red bean and rice cake when I got back home to Chiba. As the name suggests, it had plenty of rice cake, kinako, and large red beans, and it had a mysterious taste like a Japanese confectionery in a bread. It was delicious. Even my husband, who doesn't like red beans, enjoyed it. I want to go back when there are more bread options next time.

I visited Omar Bakery, a homework shop that opened in August 2021, and made a reservation. The young and beautiful female owner was very friendly and chatted with us. She also worked at Deuce Mix Kitchen Bakery. We enjoyed their well-crafted bread and pastries. They use a Musashi Fils oven. They operate only 2 days a week, and reservations via Instagram are a must. I recommend their hard bread, bagels, and scones. Located at 2-11-22 Sagisu, Fukushima-ku, Osaka City.

One of the bakeries with a high hurdle as it is only open two days a week. I made a reservation via Instagram the day before and visited the already popular "Omara Bakery". The lovely sister is working alone, so the opening hours are short and they close when sold out, so reservations are always necessary. Prices are not listed on Instagram, so I ended up buying a lot again. Here are my thoughts on the items I purchased: - Homemade sourdough baguette 280 yen: The wheat aroma and flavor come through directly! The saltiness is perfect, with a crispy crust and a moist interior. If the crust was a little thinner, it would be even better. A delicious baguette that doesn't interfere with meals. - Maple nut melon bread 300 yen: The texture is fine, milky, and not too heavy. The cookie dough is slightly moist, with a subtle maple scent. A bit pricey but tasty. - Chestnut paste and Verona strawberry walnut sourdough scone 380 yen: This square scone is crunchy like a cookie but moist and crumbly inside, with a sticky filling of paste and berries. This might be a love-it-or-hate-it item. - Pistachio hard bread (kumquat) 500 yen: Luxuriously filled with kumquats and pistachios, with a mix of sweet and bitter flavors. The white chocolate and berries are a perfect match. It's a bit heavy but worth the half-size price. - Organic kinako paste and Adzuki bean, mochi, and miscellaneous grain hard bread 430 yen: The sesame-flavored bread is like eating a Chinese sweet sesame dumpling. The adzuki bean paste is not too sweet and well-cooked, with a fragrant mix of kinako, sesame, and miscellaneous grains. - Sourdough bagel 200 yen: It's thin and crispy on the outside and chewy inside, my favorite type of bagel. The sourdough aroma is strong, making it versatile for sandwich fillings. - Homemade semi-dried kumquat and cream cheese bagel 360 yen: The dough is similar to sourdough. The gentle cream cheese and slightly sweet kumquat complement each other well. Perfect with black tea! All the items are delicious, but they are unique, so they may not be for daily consumption. The pricing seems reasonable given the volume of fillings in the hard bread. However, the pricing for half-size items should be indicated from the beginning. It may not be suitable for those who prefer soft and chewy bread, but bread enthusiasts will likely appreciate it. I'm one of them, so I'll definitely go back for more on special occasions.

It was a completely unknown bakery to me, but it seems to be quite popular and trendy now. The pastries were really delicious! They had something similar to a croissant. Cream cheese bread was excellent, peanut cream hard bagel was great, and matcha buttercream sandwich was amazing. Also, the Wiener cheese was delicious.
