The popular yakiniku and horumon (offal) restaurant. The horumon nabe (offal hot pot) was delicious and comforting, as I have tried it before. The issue was with the yakiniku. It wasn't of high quality, and considering the low prices, maybe that's expected? The popular horumon dishes were also just okay. If you're going to eat here, I'd recommend sticking to the horumon nabe.

I went to this restaurant with my colleagues after work. I usually like beef tongue and kalbi, but the chateaubriand here was absolutely amazing! It's a steal to be able to eat such high-quality meat at such a reasonable price. The staff at the restaurant were also very friendly. Thank you for the delicious meal.

It's starting to get warmer, isn't it? I can't wait to have a barbecue outside, so I'm posting about it. In the Hakodate area, Marugame is famous for its huge steaks and horumon (offal). After drinking, it's hard to go home on your own in the Hokuto area, so last year I bought horumon here and had a barbecue at home. I really like the horumon here because it's well washed and doesn't have a strong taste when grilled properly, giving it a nice crispy texture. I'm not a big fan of the sauce that comes with it, so this year I might try marinating it in KNK's Stamina Gen sauce before grilling. I can't wait for it to get warmer soon.

Hormone dishes at this restaurant are delicious, including guts and cow's throat meat. The spicy sauce that comes with it is amazingly tasty. In the summer, try the grilled hormone! As it gets colder, go for the hot pot hormone! Tongue and skirt meat are also delicious!! The Marugame special steak is highly recommended too!! They also offer takeout, so be sure to try it out!!

This is a place in Nanafuto Beach, Hokuto City, near Nanafuto Station of "Dounan Isaribi Railway". I discovered this restaurant about 20 years ago. They used to offer lunch, where I would enjoy yakiniku or hormone hot pot, but they stopped serving lunch about 10 years ago. Recently, I had a craving for their signature dish, hormone hot pot, so I visited the restaurant after a long time. I ordered 5 servings of hormone to go, paid, and headed back home. The next day for dinner, I prepared the hormone hot pot with tofu, leeks, green onions, shiitake mushrooms, and enoki mushrooms. The hormone had various textures, but I found the pieces to be cut a bit small. The seasoning was on the strong side due to the miso marinade, so I adjusted it with sake and water. I forgot to order the restaurant's original spicy seasoning, so I used my own chili bean paste and mountain miso. Overall, I enjoy trying hormone hot pot from different places, but I find the ones I'm familiar with to be the best in terms of taste and price.

I visited this place wanting to try a lot of meat in a yakiniku iron pot. They are known for their delicious horumon (offal), but I'm not a big fan of it, so I ordered a mix of horumon and regular meat. The meat slices were about 5-6 millimeters thick, and if you have a small appetite, one slice would be enough (lol). It was definitely worth seeing and trying out.

It was my first time at this restaurant and only counter seats were available, so it was crowded with regular customers or staff members' friends. They cooked the meat on a cassette stove and it was not charcoal-grilled, but the meat was fresh and tasty enough.

This is a local popular yakiniku restaurant. They use old-fashioned gas stoves, which may not be modern but the sagari and horumon here are excellent. The draft beer served in chilled mugs is also fantastic. The staff are kind and friendly, creating a warm atmosphere that keeps regular customers coming back (myself included)!
