It had been a while since my last visit. Before starting to use Tabelog, I had only been here once a few months after it opened. The Spanish beer, which was probably imported, was nice to have. The female staff on the floor were friendly, and the complimentary bread service in these times was fantastic. When it first opened, there were not many Western-style izakayas or bar-like places in Kitakyushu, and there were few places where you could eat Iberico ham, aioli, or paella, so it felt fresh. However, since then, similar types of restaurants have increased, and with the development of ICT, it has become easier to enjoy such cuisine. So, while I wasn't as impressed as I was during my first visit, it was still a decent dining experience.

・Cider 550 yen, Guinness 700 yen ・Escabeche 400 yen ・Patatas Bravas 580 yen ・Ajo Blanco 1,080 yen ・Seafood Paella 1,980 yen ◯A casual Spanish restaurant ◯Not too crowded on weekday nights, better to make a reservation on holidays ◯Located in a stylish bar in a less popular corner of the Higashisaki Station shopping street ◯The highly recommended dish is definitely the seafood paella, as it takes quite a while to prepare, so order it first ◯The seafood flavors seep into the rice, with plenty of toppings and a rich seasoning, making it perfect for pairing with alcohol ◯Of course, all the other menu items are delicious as well, always leaving you satisfied ◯Recommended when you want to experience a foreign atmosphere or need a little change of pace.

We used it with more than 20 people. There were partitions for COVID-19 measures, so it felt a bit cramped, but it was convenient for a party. The food included in the 5000 yen course with all-you-can-drink was Spanish ham, tapas, salad (vegetables + 3 types of dressing), bravas-style potatoes, mushroom ajillo, bread, pork tongue skewers, shrimp bacon skewers, seafood paella, and dessert salad. The ham came out first, and the salad dressing came out much later, so there was a slight mishap as we were almost done eating, but we laughed it off as it was a busy time. The ajillo and skewers were delicious, but everyone was delighted when the famous paella came out. It's a menu that livens up the atmosphere! One thing to note is that the last order for drinks was quite early, as we were asked at the 80-minute mark of the planned 2 and a half hours. It would be nice if this could be improved.

This is a Spanish restaurant that serves delicious tapas and paella! They have a wide variety of tapas appetizers, including dishes like squid ink paella. They also offer a selection of Spanish wines. I ordered a mixed tapas platter with ham, shrimp and avocado aioli, omelette, eggplant with olive sauce, and a large squid ink paella for about 5 people. I also had a Basque-style cheesecake and orange juice. The shrimp and avocado aioli was particularly delicious with its juicy shrimp. I will be sharing this feast on my YouTube channel "Chuugui Non" in the near future, so please subscribe!

A Spanish restaurant within walking distance from Kurosaki Station. There are seats on the second floor as well, and the restaurant is not too crowded. However, it takes some time for the ordered dishes to be served. The shrimp in the garlic shrimp dish is large and has a satisfying texture. The seasoning is strong and flavorful. The bread is refillable, but it takes a while to come out and can get cold. The spiced pork belly stew has tender meat, but there is not much meat and mostly potatoes at the bottom, which is disappointing. Overall, there is a slight feeling of being overpriced for the portion size. It may not be the best choice for those with a big appetite. This restaurant is more suitable for those who want to enjoy leisurely drinks.

An emergency declaration has been issued, but it seems like the restaurant does not close early. They charge for seating. You can enjoy Spanish beer and liquor. The tapas are delicious. However, it takes a while for both drinks and food to arrive after ordering.

We made a last-minute online reservation and visited the restaurant with 5 people. They had to add an extra chair to a 4-person table to accommodate us, which felt a bit forced. The food, as someone else mentioned, came out in a rush and while the portions were small, they were difficult to fit on the table. The dishes were neither good nor bad, but the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was nice.

Kurosaki: First Spanish Course Meal at a Spanish Restaurant, Kurosaki Bar 8, Yahata Nishi Ward, Kitakyushu City Visited on April 16, 2018 On this day, I had a drinking party with 4 gym friends, with 3 of them being from Yahata. So, we decided to drink in Kurosaki. The shopping street was still quiet as usual (laughs), but the place we went to was Kurosaki Bar 8 (Ocho) located inside an arcade. It is known for serving Spanish cuisine. The exterior and entrance of the restaurant are stylish and seem to appeal to young people. As we entered the restaurant, we were seated at a table near the entrance. The interior of the restaurant was quite nice. I thought we were going for the 4,000 yen all-you-can-drink course (120 minutes) since it was a Monday, but the organizer had actually booked the 4,500 yen course. The drink menu for the all-you-can-drink option included Spanish cocktails and wine cocktails, which seemed unique. First, we had the "Spanish-style omelette with potatoes" with tomato sauce, which was decent. Then, we had the prawn and avocado aioli, followed by octopus marinated with bread. The dishes kept coming one after another (laughs). Next was the "Bagna Cauda" which went well with the bread. Then came the "Patatas Bravas," fried potatoes with sauce that paired nicely with beer. The chicken liver skewers were also served. Towards the end, we had the mushroom ajillo and finally, the "Paella." I can't say it was incredibly delicious, but I wish I could have the amazing Paella I had once during a trip to the southern coast of Malaga in Spain. We ended the meal with dessert and sangria, feeling a bit tipsy. Overall, it was a normal dining experience in Kurosaki, and I don't think I would go back with the same group again (laughs).

I had been curious about this place for a while, and when I went on a weekday evening, it was bustling with salarymen and women. The atmosphere was great and all the dishes were delicious. The staff were friendly, making it a great spot for dates, work gatherings, or hanging out with friends. I definitely want to go back again.

The reviewer was turned away from two izakayas they wanted to go to and ended up wandering around until they found a restaurant in the center of a shopping street. It was crowded on Saturday night because popular places tend to be busy. Although the shopping street was a bit run-down, the food was delicious. The paella was a bit too strong in flavor and didn't taste as good when it cooled down. The restaurant had a lot of young staff members and the atmosphere was lively and clean. The Italian omelette with tomato salsa sauce was deliciously spicy, the avocado and shrimp in garlic oil matched well together, and the pork tongue was very chewy. The seafood paella was rich and full of seafood. Overall, the food was tasty and the restaurant seemed like a nice place to casually dine at.

Spanish Dining Kurosaki Bar 5 minutes walk from JR Kurosaki Station, located at a corner of the station arcade with a red BAR8 sign as a landmark. Participated in a Kurosaki budget food tour guided by My Review, with yakitori, yakiniku, and possibly dessert as the finale. Upon entering, there is a long counter along the kitchen, with a Spanish bar-like interior featuring brick walls. The menu includes tax-included small dishes ranging from 180 yen for tapas to set courses for 2 people starting from 1380 yen to 4500 yen. There is a wide variety of drinks and dessert menu with all-you-can-drink option available. - Spanish Bar Set: 1380 yen for 2 people - Ginger Ale: 280 yen - Hot Coffee: 380 yen One of the top 3 popular sets recommended by the staff. The Ebi and Avocado Aioli features roughly mashed avocado with plenty of boiled shrimp mixed with a mayonnaise-like aioli sauce. The Baña Cauda comes with a variety of vegetables and a relatively mellow sauce. The Mushroom Ajillo is packed with plenty of mushrooms in garlic-infused olive oil. Despite being already full, it's easy to overeat due to the garlic aroma. The free bread refill is a nice touch. The price for these 3 dishes is very reasonable, with a good selection of drinks at affordable prices. It seems like a versatile place for meet-ups or second rounds. Finally, I had a coffee as a dessert to end the night. Kurosaki has many great restaurants, and spending time with like-minded friends is always enjoyable and passes by quickly. Another night of gratitude to My Review for bringing me here.

There was a gathering in Hakata, and I was feeling a little tipsy. Upon returning to Kurosaki, I called my colleague and we wandered around the town, when we came across "Spain Restaurant Kurosaki BAR8". My colleague mentioned that it was a popular place in Kurosaki, so we decided to visit. The number 8 is pronounced as "ocho" in Spanish. Inside the restaurant, there were 3-4 table seats, 8 counter seats, and rooms on the second floor as well. We were seated at the counter, where there were two large chunks of raw ham in front of us. We ordered the following dishes: 1. Mushroom Ajillo - 780 yen 2. Bagna Cauda Vegetables (small) - 800 yen 3. Shrimp and Avocado Aioli (small) - 380 yen, Pork Motsu Cazuelas (small) - 580 yen. We chose the top 3 recommended dishes from the menu. The dishes come in two sizes, and there are options to choose from. Bread was served as a starter, and it was free for refills. First, we had the Shrimp and Avocado Aioli. The garlic mayo aroma combined with the creaminess of avocado and shrimp made it a perfect snack with alcohol. The Bagna Cauda Vegetables had a colorful array of vegetables, including corn, bell peppers, lotus root, pumpkin, cucumber, radish, broccoli, carrots, and more. You dip them in the salty Bagna sauce. The Mushroom Ajillo had plenty of mushrooms in garlic-infused olive oil. The mushrooms were perfectly cooked, retaining a nice texture. We enjoyed dipping the bread in the garlic and slightly tangy olive oil. The Pork Motsu Cazuelas had tripe and chickpeas stewed in tomato sauce. It was labeled as spicy, but it wasn't too intense. The stew was light, with a subtle flavor of tripe and chickpeas. After beer, we ordered a full bottle of House Wine (white) for 1,850 yen. It had a light and easy-to-drink taste. The prices of the dishes and alcohol were reasonable, and there were many dishes that paired well with the all-you-can-eat baguette. The cost performance is good, and the casual atmosphere is nice. Well, I guess that's the kind of atmosphere you'd expect from a bar. Thank you for the meal.

Last year, a trendy and stylish Spanish bar opened in the shopping street of Kurosaki. We used it as a light dinner for a group. The store is a 2-story building, with the kitchen and counter seats on the 1st floor, and table seats on the 2nd floor. We were guided to the table seats by passing through the narrow and steep stairs behind the counter seats, but the seating was comfortable without feeling cramped. The waitstaff wore costumes resembling soccer uniforms, with the number 8, which seemed to be the store's original costume. We ordered items individually, such as: - Vegetables with Baña Cauda sauce (800 yen) - Mushroom Ajillo (780 yen) - Yawata BARU-style pizza (580 yen) - Chorizo sausage (580 yen) Even with individual orders, there is an all-you-can-eat baguette option for a charge of 410 yen. I had oolong tea for drinks, while others ordered beer. The Baña Cauda sauce was rich and flavorful with garlic and anchovies, perfect with beer. The Mushroom Ajillo had a firm texture and a garlic-infused olive oil taste, also great with beer. While dipping the baguette in the Baña Cauda sauce or Ajillo olive oil, the baguette was also delicious. The Chorizo sausage had a crispy texture and was tasty. The pizza had a mild flavor but was served in thin crust half-cuts. The pricing was neither high nor low, making it suitable for both groups and couples. It's an elegant and popular restaurant, and I can see why. I would like to revisit if I have the chance.
