At Taikodo in Sakai, Osaka, there are over 50 varieties of taiyaki to choose from! You can place your order at the shop in Fukai and they will bake it fresh for you, so you can enjoy a piping hot taiyaki. I ordered the red bean paste and Napoli cheese flavors, both priced at 180 yen each! The crust is crispy and light, making it easy to eat multiple pieces. The red bean paste was just the right amount of sweetness, a classic favorite. The Napoli cheese had a sweet cream cheese filling that paired well with the hot crust. While you can eat inside the shop, many people prefer to take their taiyaki to go as there is parking available. I'd love to try all the flavors someday. Can't wait to go back for more! Thank you for the delicious treat! #Taikodo #OsakaTaiyaki #SakaiGourmet #OsakaSweets #SakaiSweets #SouthOsakaSweets #OsakaTakeoutSweets #taiyaki #OsakaTaiyaki #TaiyakiLoversUnite

I'm going to buy takoyaki for the first time in a while (*^^*). The octopus in this takoyaki is nice and chewyヾ(*´∀`*)ノ I also want some taiyaki... ( ̄▽ ̄;) But I'm short on time (^^; As I look to the side, I see mini taiyaki (*^^)v If you buy 5 or more, the price per piece goes down (^^♪ Of course, I'll take 5 (◍˃̶ᗜ˂̶◍)ノ" The bite-sized taiyaki has a soft and chewy white dough (o´艸`) It's perfect for when you're feeling a bit hungry (〃▽〃)

This is the "Funmon no Yakata" shop. It has been around for quite some time, even before I started using Tabelog. Not many people may know that this used to be a Lawson store. It's very popular on Sundays. They bake your order fresh, so it takes a bit of time, but you get to enjoy it piping hot. They offer a variety of items like taiyaki, takoyaki, yakisoba, and the classic okonomiyaki. The menu is extensive, especially when it comes to taiyaki flavors. I usually get the classic red bean paste and custard. They label the paper bag to distinguish between the two. The red bean paste filling goes all the way to the tail, and the crispy skin is delicious. I can't wait to try their side dish taiyaki next time. Thank you for the meal!

- Mochi-filled red bean paste 210 yen
- Pistachio 190 yen
- Located about a 15-minute walk from Shinfuji Station on the Semboku High-Speed Railway, this shop specializes in taiyaki.
- In addition to taiyaki, they also sell yakisoba, okonomiyaki, takoyaki, shaved ice, and more.
- The shop has four 4-person tables for eating in.
This was actually my second visit. The first was about 10 years ago, and the menu has changed a lot since then. There are so many different types of taiyaki! They also have some side dish-like items on the menu. I bought the pistachio taiyaki, which I had never seen before. It was surprisingly delicious! The pistachio flavor was strong. The crispy edges of the taiyaki were also very tasty. Next time, I want to try a side dish taiyaki. Thank you for the meal!

I have been interested in this taiyaki shop for a while. They have a wide variety of flavors, so it's hard to decide which one to choose. I went with the classic red bean paste and also tried the new Mont Blanc flavor. The red bean paste taiyaki was filled with plenty of sweet bean paste and had a fluffy texture. The Mont Blanc had two pieces of chestnut and a custard-like filling, which was delicious. I really enjoyed it and wanted to eat more. The shop has been around for over 10 years and I heard they have another branch in Kitano-da. I will definitely visit again to try more flavors. I came to buy taiyaki for lunch. This shop not only sells taiyaki, but also takoyaki and yakisoba, and has a spacious eat-in area. There are many different types of taiyaki, so I had a hard time choosing. From sweet ones to savory ones... it's kind of like crepes, isn't it? Since I wanted something savory for lunch today, I asked for the most popular one and ended up buying the "Pizza-style Potato Salad Cheese" taiyaki. For dessert, I got the chewy white taiyaki (strawberry cream) in a smaller size. The taiyaki is made fresh after you order it. The hot taiyaki with crispy skin was delicious. The cheese was oozing out, and inside was real potato salad with carrots. The combination of pizza-style sauce and cheese was really tasty. The dough was slightly sweet, so I'm not sure if it really goes well with the filling... (laughs) I think I prefer the sweet ones after all. The white taiyaki was super chewy and the slightly tangy strawberry cream was really delicious. This shop often introduces new items, which is interesting. So it would make a great gift. If I had come for a snack, I would have wanted to try the soft serve ice cream with taiyaki as a cone replacement.

I was surprised to see they were selling more than just taiyaki. It feels like it was even more delicious when they first opened.

Taiyaki is delicious, isn't it? I'm an old man who enjoys drinking alcohol, but I don't dislike sweet things either. Sometimes, I inexplicably crave something very sweet. However, I'm just an old man and I don't go out of my way to find trendy sweets. But if I happen to come across a Taiyaki shop in town, I might just drop by. The other day, I visited a Taiyaki shop in the Fukai area of Sakai. The shop seemed to specialize in Taiyaki and Takoyaki, and there was also seating available inside. On the day of my visit, I tried two types of Taiyaki - one with smooth red bean paste and the other with chocolate filling. The smooth red bean paste had a traditional Japanese flavor, while the chocolate filling was a new and interesting taste for me. Both were a bit on the sweet side, but as a once-in-a-while treat, they were good. I think one piece would have been enough for me though. The shop has a parking lot, so it's convenient to visit. If you have the chance, I recommend giving it a try.

Visited on 11/22/2015 because I was curious. The location is at a crossroads one block east of the Minami intersection of the Sawayamichi Yamacho Minami intersection on the side road of the Sakai toll booth, where the side road bulges outwards. The shop is a combination of "Grilled Sea Bream: Taikodo" and "Takoyaki: Marukyo Suisan". A nice combination! The strategy of making customers want to buy both while they are buying one. Entered at 4:00 PM. There were about 4 groups of customers already, and more customers came in afterwards, so it was bustling. There is seating inside, but at this time, all the customers were for takeout. Ordered the "Red Bean Sea Bream: 160 yen". They start grilling it after you order. Also ordered "Takoyaki: 7 pieces for 400 yen", and both were served at the same time in 7-8 minutes. It seems like they are particular about the ingredients, using domestically sourced materials. The sea bream has wings attached, making it look bigger than usual and feel like a good deal. I like to break off the fins and eat them bit by bit, haha. The outside is crispy, and the inside is moist and soft. Just the right amount of grilling. The red bean paste is not too sweet and delicious. The takoyaki was also delicious. Since the main focus was on the sea bream shop, I will skip the details. There is seating available for waiting and also for dining inside. Magazines are provided for passing the time. I caught a glimpse of the elements that make it popular. There were about 4-5 male and female staff members working efficiently. The service was average. Completely non-smoking. Appreciated. Families with children can also come here with peace of mind.

On the way back from eating out, I felt like having dessert and happened to pass by "Taikodo". It was surprising to see the parking lot full on a Sunday evening, even though it's usually busy during weekday lunch hours. Not only taiyaki, but they also had okonomiyaki and takoyaki, so many people were enjoying okonomiyaki inside the restaurant. My family criticized me saying, "Didn't you just eat okonomiyaki earlier? We could have just come here!" But I replied, "Who knew! Let's order quickly." I got red bean, custard, and I chose sweet potato! After waiting a few minutes with the number tag, we were ready to eat in the car. The outside was crispy and the filling was packed all the way to the tail, delicious! But today, there were only Konomon flavors. I'll definitely come back again.

I think you can also eat inside the shop, but I always get it to go. The taiyaki, freshly baked after ordering, is fluffy and filled with plenty of red bean paste, very satisfying. It's filled with red bean paste all the way to the tail. The white taiyaki is chewy. It's deliciously chewy, but I still prefer the regular taiyaki. And I prefer the regular red bean paste filling! The staff is friendly. The shop is spacious. It's surprisingly spacious. The parking lot is also spacious. It's easy to get to because it's located at a signalized intersection. Please give it a try!

I went to a taiyaki shop called Taiyaki Taikodo in Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture. Here is the menu:
- Azuki bean: The dough is chewy and the azuki bean filling is not too sweet, delicious.
- Tamago (egg): The egg and ham filling goes well together and is tasty.
- Custard: Rich and sweet custard filling, delicious.
- Potato salad: Potatoes with bacon and cheese inside, paired well with tomato sauce, delicious.
- Pizza-style taiyaki: Imagine a pizza in taiyaki form.
- Chestnut and azuki bean: The chestnut and azuki bean filling is a great combination, my wife said this was the most delicious one.
My wife really liked it. I had been wanting to try this place every time I passed by, and finally got the chance to buy some. The shop is located under the Sanko Expressway and is easy to spot, making it convenient. They bake the taiyaki fresh after you order, so you can enjoy them hot. With a variety of flavors, it's hard to choose which one to get. They also have unique taiyaki that would make great souvenirs. As it's getting colder, I look forward to going back again. My wife was satisfied too.

When it comes to taiyaki, this is the place to go! Amidst many soft taiyaki, this place serves freshly baked ones with a crispy exterior and fluffy interior, which I find quite delicious. They are quite generous in size. Personally, I prefer the crispy edges (the crispy part around the taiyaki) so I always ask for the crispy version. They offer a variety of fillings, and although I haven't tried it, they even sell savory taiyaki. The parking lot is quite spacious, making it easy to access by car.

I always noticed this taiyaki shop when passing by the road in front of it, it seemed quite big for a taiyaki shop. Today, I decided to go in and found that there were quite a few cars parked outside, showing that it is popular. The interior of the shop was spacious, and I ordered a red bean paste taiyaki for 150 yen. I was happy that they baked it after I placed my order. There was a basket with a sign saying "Please take one for free" next to the cash register, which was nice. As for the taste, it was just okay. I personally prefer crispy taiyaki skin, but some parts were soft and chewy. The tail part was lacking in red bean paste, so it was mostly just dough. The texture was soft and chewy, but lacked flavor. Overall, it was better than some small taiyaki shops, but I prefer the crispy and fully-filled taiyaki from Naruto Ta

This is not a traditional taiyaki shop, but I sometimes buy it when passing by. The parking lot is small, so as long as there aren't too many cars, it's fine. The freshly baked taiyaki was delicious, but when it gets cold, it's best to reheat it in the microwave or toaster oven. I think the black bean paste filling is tasty, but I'm sorry to say that once the white taiyaki cools down, even reheating it makes it too hard. It's a cold time of year, so it might be especially delicious. I recommend that everyone give it a try.

It's a bit pricey, but it's worth it because there's plenty of filling and it's delicious, freshly baked.
