I found this place in the underground shopping area in Tenjin the day before, and bought the most popular item, the tapioca shiokoji, as a snack for my hotel. It was not the fluffy chiffon cake I had imagined, but it was slightly savory and chewy, and really delicious. It was so good that I ended up eating it all by myself instead of sharing with my husband and child as planned. I found the shop again at Hakata Station before boarding the Shinkansen the next day. Unfortunately, they were almost sold out in the evening, unlike the variety they had in Tenjin the day before. The tapioca shiokoji that I wanted to try was not available, so I got the limited edition salt lemon flavor instead. It was also delicious, but personally I prefer the tapioca shiokoji. The main store seems to be in Takamiya, but having branches in convenient locations like Tenjin and Hakata is great for travelers like me, not just for buying souvenirs. The shelf life at room temperature is only on the same day, but they are so tasty that you'll finish them in no time, so I recommend buying plenty. I live in Tokyo, so it's hard to request Fukuoka souvenirs, but I will definitely buy them again when I visit Fukuoka. Next time, I'll go early when there are more options available! And I really hope they expand to Tokyo soon.

Marie, a chiffon cake shop with its main store in Takamiya. I visited the Hakata branch for the first time on this day. I couldn't decide what to get, so I ended up buying three varieties. I always get the plain and tapioca salt koji, and this time I also got the limited edition salt lemon flavor. The chiffon cakes are so fluffy and melt in your mouth. They are not too sweet, but you can still taste the different flavors. They have a short shelf life, usually only for that day, but they make great souvenirs. If you love chiffon cakes, you should definitely try them.

Marie, the goddess of cakes, was featured. I decided to visit the shop at Hakata Station. I was torn on what to buy, but ended up getting the most popular Tapioca Shio-Koji and the limited edition Shio Lemon. The chiffon cakes were so fluffy that I had to be careful carrying them home. I don't buy cakes often, but these were the fluffiest chiffon cakes I've ever had. They melt in your mouth. Shio Lemon: A refreshing cake with a hint of lemon bitterness (perhaps using some lemon peel as well). Tapioca Shio-Koji: It's easy to see why this is the most popular. It's chewy and absolutely delicious, just my type of cake.

Famous shop with its main store in Takamiya. I had a bitter memory of going to the main store before and not being able to buy it as it was sold out by early afternoon. I purchased the salt lemon and tapioca salt koji flavors, and this texture is unique. The mochi mochi and creamy chiffon cakes are so delicious that I could eat as many as I want. It is a take-out only shop located on the Ippin Street in Hakata Station. They do not use preservatives, so please enjoy it on the same day.

Working in Hakata, I was looking for a souvenir for my wife and came across a chiffon cake specialty store in the station building. I decided to buy two cakes, a plain one and a strawberry white chocolate one. The plain chiffon cake was incredibly soft and moist, with a perfect level of sweetness. It was the best chiffon cake I've ever had. The strawberry white chocolate chiffon cake had a lovely strawberry aroma and a sweet white chocolate flavor, making it more like a dessert. Personally, I preferred the plain one. Both cakes were delicious, and my wife loved them too. If I ever visit Hakata again, I will definitely buy more cakes from this store. I highly recommend trying them out!

"I really wanted to eat Mary's chiffon cake, so I headed to Ippin Street. I wanted to try a lot of flavors, but for now I settled for three types (*_*) I was planning to share with my friends, so I got the most popular salt koji, matcha, and the seasonal limited edition apple cinnamon. The tapioca flour one was chewy, the apple cinnamon was fluffy, and as always, they were delicious. A happy snack (*´ω`*) I also want to try the roll cake, and other chiffon cakes, so I'll go to the Okusunamoto main store next time! It was delicious♪ Thank you for the meal☆"

Chiffon cake MARIE・◽︎ Plain◽︎ Tea・A specialty chiffon cake shop inside Hakata Station. The expiration date is the same day! I bought the Plain and Tea flavors and took them home. The paper around the cake is still on to prevent drying out. Maybe that's why it's so fluffy! Both the Tea and Plain cakes disappeared in no time (laughs). The price is also affordable at a flat rate of 390 yen. I want to eat it again soon ~♩♩

I got a snack at Hakata Station because I was a little hungry! They were selling them individually. I bought a chocolate chip chiffon cake, which was quite large and fluffy, with a mild sweetness that goes perfectly with coffee. It was satisfying because it was a substantial sweet treat. It's also perfect as a souvenir! Thank you for the meal! ^ - ^

The number one recommended flavor is tapioca shio koji. When I lived in Oonagusu, I used to go there like a demon. Whenever I go to Hakata Station for errands, I always stop by. There are various flavors, but in the end, I always come back to this classic tapioca shio koji. Please try it out.

MARIE Fukuoka City, Hakata Station Area Hakata Station Inside Ikkin Street Minami Ward is the second store of a chiffon cake specialty shop called Daikusu. It is popular for its unique texture known as "angel's touch". Ikkin Street, located near the Shinkansen, is a popular spot for carefully selected bento boxes and sweets from Fukuoka and surrounding areas. The prices are reasonable and it is always bustling with people. I also use it occasionally. On this day, I headed straight to this place that I had been curious about for a while. Yes, I love chiffon cakes. There are 9 varieties available, including regular and seasonal flavors. Although there are no samples available, the beautiful packaging resembles Japanese paper. The regular flavors include plain, salt koji, chocolate, black tea, walnut cocoa, milk tea, and matcha, while the limited edition flavors include pistachio and pearl kumquat. ☆Purchase 1270 yen (tax included) Tapioca salt koji 390 yen Tapioca milk tea 390 yen Tapioca pistachio 490 yen The salt koji has a hint of salt, the milk tea has a mellow black tea flavor, and the pistachio has nuts. All are wrapped with the baking paper still attached to prevent drying. The use of tapioca flour gives a chewy and unique texture that is both fluffy and crispy. The sweetness is quite subtle, and personally, I would prefer a bit more sweetness. Overall, the cakes are elegantly finished, especially the pistachio flavor. The use of carefully selected ingredients gives it a healthy feel. The expiration date is the same day (1 month if frozen). Yes, I devoured it quickly (laughs). It mainly uses ingredients from Kyushu. The main store apparently has twice the variety, including Swiss rolls and other confectioneries. Marie Hakata Store, located on the 1st floor of Hakata Ichibin Street in Hakata District, is a chiffon cake shop. On the first day of Golden Week, I went on a day trip to Hakata and spent about 10 hours there. After visiting two Bib Gourmand restaurants, I still had some time before catching the Shinkansen back. Even though I don't usually eat sweet things and wasn't in the mood for alcohol, I decided to buy a sweet treat. I purchased Tapioca Shio Koji (390 yen) and Chocolate (390 yen) from the shop. I took the Mizuho 614 from Hakata at 9:09 PM and arrived in Shin-Osaka at 11:37 PM. The expiration date was today, so I had to eat it right away. Even though I didn't understand much about Fukuoka-produced koji and Nagasaki-produced salt, the sweet smell was enticing. Since it was a quarter size, even I could finish it. The chocolate disappeared into my family member's stomach the next day. "Thank you for the meal."

Fluffy chiffon cakes are now available at Hakata Station too. "MARIE" at Hakata Station, near the Chikushi exit on Ippein Street, is the same shop I found in Takamiya before. It's amazing that they already have a second store at Hakata Station. Both plain and flavored chiffon cakes are priced at 380 yen each. The most popular flavor, tapioca salt koji, is available in individual packaging for easy purchase. Tapioca with salt koji? Can't quite imagine it... I can't really taste the tapioca, but the fluffy chiffon cake is as delicious as ever, melting in the mouth. === Store Information chiffoncakeMARIE 092-710-7713 1-1 Hakata Station Central Street, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City Inside Hakata Station, Ippein Street Opening hours: 10:00-21:00

Hakata Station has a chiffon cake specialty store on "Ippin Street (like a souvenir street)". The main store is in Takamiya and it seems to be popular. Since chiffon specialty stores are not common, I was curious if they were delicious and bought some. There are many types, so I bought 2 as a trial. Plain (380 yen) ... The texture is light and fluffy like chiffon, with a mild sweetness which I like. Black tea (380 yen) ... Black tea goes well with chiffon cake, you can feel the faint aroma and the taste of tea leaves. Both cakes seem to go well with tea rather than coffee. The packaging is also nice, so it might be good for gifts.

It has been a while since the popularity of Takamiya spread, and they even have a store at Hakata Station. I used to visit the Takamiya store frequently, but this was my first visit to the Hakata store. I happened to pass by Hakata Station for some errands, and couldn't resist the urge to eat, so I decided to get takeout! I love the seasonal miso flavor, but this time I ordered the pistachio, which is currently trending! I enjoyed it with tea as soon as I got home. The chewy texture of the mochi made from tapioca flour is irresistible! The pistachio flavor was also good, with a gentle sweet aroma that made me feel happy. I was in a rush so I only bought this one flavor, but I regret not buying more! I definitely want to visit again for souvenirs or treats for myself!

While wandering around Hakata Station, I stumbled upon a chiffon cake specialty store. They use milk from Kumamoto Prefecture, brown sugar from Amami Oshima and Yoroshima Islands, eggs from Kyushu, flour from Saga Prefecture, and rapeseed oil from Australia. They offer a variety of flavors, and this time I chose the "Chocolate" for 380 yen, made with chocolate from Italy. The chiffon cake was beautifully sliced, moist, and not too sweet. The chocolate was also good. It was a bit pricey, but overall a delicious treat.

While walking with a friend inside Hakata Station Building, we stumbled upon a shop that we don't see in Tokyo. It seems to be a shop specializing in chiffon cakes originating from Hakata. We decided to purchase a tapioca matcha flavor for 380 yen. They also had other flavors like plain, chocolate, black tea, walnut cocoa, tapioca milk tea, and tapioca salt koji. There was also a product called "Itojima something" (I forgot the name). However, since we visited in the evening, many items were already sold out. The chiffon cake was chewy, fluffy, bouncy, soft, and had a rich matcha flavor, which was delicious. If I have the chance to buy again, I would like to try out some of the unique flavors they offer.

As a souvenir, I stopped by this famous shop. It is a very popular shop in Takamiya, the local area. The main store in Takamiya sells out by noon every day because it is so popular. Their chiffon cake is incredibly fluffy and delicious. It's a must-buy souvenir from Hakata. Everyone, regardless of age or gender, will be delighted. Thank you for the delicious meal. I will definitely visit again.

This is a chiffon cake specialty shop located on Ippin Street in Hakata. On this day, I went to Hakata Station and bought cakes to take home from here. There were nine different types of chiffon cakes lined up at the storefront. On this day, I chose three types of chiffon cakes to take home. Plain for 380 yen. The chiffon cake has a fine texture, fluffy and moist, with a subtly sweet and elegant adult taste. Walnut Cocoa for 380 yen. A cake with a moist cocoa base and chopped walnuts as an accent, creating a light and airy texture similar to a gâteau au chocolat. Red Tea for 380 yen. A cake with the aroma of red tea with plenty of milk brewed in it, spreading a gentle fragrance. The shop is located on the first floor of Hakata Station's Ippin Street. A quarter of a chiffon cake costs 380 yen. I bought the most popular tapioca shiokoji. At first glance, it looks like a regular chiffon cake, but when you eat it, you can tell the difference - it's super chewy with tapioca flour. The sweetness is mild, and you can't really tell if it's shiokoji or not. It's a new texture of cake.

Now, let's take a look at my recent favorite souvenir from Hakata Station, "Chiffon Cake Marie." I secretly aim to try all the flavors, but today I chose the "Tapioca Kinako" flavor. As always, the fluffy texture is irresistible. As I continued eating, the exquisite flavor of kinako became more pronounced. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. I will continue to strive for improvement on my journey, with no regrets.
