I passed through the shopping street in Tsuruhashi and found Jaws Tteokbokki. I had always thought about trying it, so I decided to go check it out. The weather was very nice, so I sat on the rooftop where there was a good shade from the sun, creating a pleasant atmosphere. I ordered Cheese Tteokbokki, Oden, Ppukkunpa, and a mixed tempura platter. Everything was delicious.

I had a girls' night out for the first time in a while since we were refraining from going out due to Corona! We went on a tour of Koreatown in Tsuruhashi ♡ My friend took me to a popular Tteokbokki specialty store called "Jaws Tteokbokki" ☆°。⋆⸜(* ॑꒳ ॑* )⸝ It's a cute shop with colorful yellow and red colors! This is a self-service store where you order Tteokbokki and drinks for the number of people on the first floor and then go to the second floor. On the second floor, you can sit wherever you like, it's free style! ◉ Cheese Tteokbokki 1820 yen ◉ Tempura assortment 950 yen - Shishito peppers, nori spring rolls, sweet potatoes, squid tempura, grilled dumplings, shrimp tempura, fried nori ◉ Spicy Samgyupsal Kimpa 1080 yen ◉ Corn tea (bottled) You can choose the spiciness level from 3 levels. Level 1 (medium spicy), Level 2 (spicy), Level 3 (very spicy). I chose level 2, but it was quite spicy!!! ( ゚∀゚)<ヒィィィィィハァァァァァ My mouth is on fire!!! The chewy Tteokbokki was delicious~(*´ч`*)♡ The authentic Tteokbokki pot had eggs, fried fish cakes, sausages... various things in it! And they even put tempura in it!? The spring roll wrapped in nori and fried was refreshing?! We ate until we were full~♡ It was nice that we could put the leftovers in a take-out container ourselves and take them home. It's eco-friendly, right (^_-)-☆ At first, there were only us, but on weekday evenings, after 5 pm, it quickly filled up with working women. We had a very enjoyable time! Let's come again sometime ♡ Thank you for the meal (*´▽`人) ===========

You can smoke cigarettes on the rooftop terrace seats. They accept PayPay. If you want to try a variety of foods, it's better to go with a large group. It's fun to eat tempura as a snack. There was also shrimp tempura. The tteokbokki was spicy, but when dipped in tempura sauce, it became a different dish! You can choose from various sauces for the chicken, including sweet ones. They also provide bags for leftovers, so you can enjoy your meal without worrying about leftovers.

Visited during regular opening hours. The restaurant operates with a machine for ordering and payment, which was a bit too modern for me (laughs). Received a buzzer and went upstairs to secure a seat on the terrace on the 3rd floor, which had a great atmosphere. Self-serve water. When the buzzer went off, had to go back downstairs to pick up the order (laughs). Had to make multiple trips downstairs for things like wet towels and paper aprons, which was inconvenient. The staff seemed busy and it was hard to get their attention. Ordered tteokbokki and kimbap set, and oden. The tteokbokki was spicier than expected even though I chose the non-spicy option (laughs). The broth was bright red, so be careful not to splash it on your clothes!! The peach-flavored kelp snack I ordered helped balance out the spiciness!! Didn't really enjoy the kimbap and oden... (laughs) Overall, the Korean cuisine was different from what I expected. More geared towards young people? Returned the dishes and left the restaurant. The place didn't seem too crowded, but it was filled with only young people (laughs). Thanks for the meal!

In Tsuruhashi, there is a Toppoki restaurant called Jaws, and as the name suggests, it is bright red. I ordered the Jaws Toppoki (spicy) with fried noodles for takeout. Even though I ordered it spicy, when I got home and opened it, it turned out to be mild. There was a lot in the container, enough for one person to eat, but it's perfect for sharing between 2-3 people. Eating it alone, you might get tired of the fried toppings.
