Once upon a time, when I was a child, I used to call it "kaitenyaki," but now it is not called that anymore. In Osaka, everyone refers to it by this name, but the origin is in Himeji. Himeji has some shops that are doing their best, like the ramen shop Zundo-ya. The underground floor of Takashimaya is a place I always stop by on my way back from Namba. There are all kinds of things there, so I always look forward to walking around. Today, I noticed and tried "gozakou" - it had plenty of sweet bean paste inside, and the sweetness level was perfect. The outer dough was thin, with a generous amount of filling. I brought it home and enjoyed it while it was still warm. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

(^-^) This summer, after many years, I bought Mr. Giza's taiyaki and got hooked on it. Now it's a must-have in our freezer. Whenever we run out, I go to Takashimaya and buy five, wrap each one individually, and freeze them. When it's time to eat, I microwave it and then crisp it up in the toaster oven. It's filled with plenty of Hokkaido red bean paste, just the right amount of sweetness, and all for only 95 yen each. It feels like a great deal in this day and age. Even if I buy five, it's only 475 yen. Right now, I even get change back from 500 yen! But I heard they raised the price from 85 yen to 95 yen in the first year of Reiwa. I wonder what will happen in the future. By the way, I like both red bean and white bean paste. When I buy, I usually get four red and one white.

I didn't plan on buying anything that day, but I couldn't resist when I saw the beautiful "shiro-an" from "Gozakou". I ended up buying it. Both the "aka" and "shiro" are priced at 95 yen each. As you may know, they are delicious. Sometimes I think I'm getting "aka" but end up with "shiro", which is lucky, and vice versa, which is disappointing. So I try to cut them open before eating to avoid any surprises. The staff at the shop always seals the bags with stickers, so I can tell the red from the white when I receive them, but I mix them up when I warm them in the toaster oven at home.

It has been a classic souvenir from my father since I was young. I actually prefer beer and shochu over sweet, cute sweets, but I really love anko (sweet red bean paste). When I was a child, the classic souvenirs from my father were Gogaku's dorayaki or Tanbayas' ohagi. I had it for the first time in a while, and it was delicious with plenty of anko. It's still as delicious as ever, and the taste and cost performance are great. ♥️

I always crave for white bean paste, so I end up buying it regularly. And while I'm at it, I also end up buying red bean paste. I'm actually a fan of white bean paste, but I also like red bean paste. I love watching the artisans bake them, they are so skilled, especially the way they put in the bean paste is amazing. I never get tired of watching, so I like to watch from a distance until they are baked. I always warm them up in the toaster before eating them at home. They are so delicious, especially when you put a slice of good butter on top. I'm addicted to them. I'm very satisfied this time as well. Thank you for the meal!

I went shopping at Takashimaya and only bought what I needed before quickly heading home. What did I buy at the grocery store? My husband seems to like freshly made imagawayaki, so I bought some for him. They are delicious when they are hot. After dinner, he ate two, one with red bean paste and one with white bean paste. I saved one white bean paste imagawayaki in the freezer for later.

"Kaitenyaki" is a popular treat enjoyed during "at-home time." This traditional Japanese snack is affectionately called "gosaso" by many. It's fun to watch the staff make them by hand right in front of you, and their expert wrapping skills are impressive. There are two flavors available: red bean paste and white bean paste. They are generously filled and cost only 95 yen each, making them a great value. When toasted in a toaster oven, the pastry becomes crispy and fragrant, while the bean paste becomes soft and delicious. They can also be conveniently stored in the freezer for whenever you want to enjoy them.

I had the opportunity to go to Namba for lunch, so I thought I would buy something on my way back and suddenly remembered this shop. I want to eat anko!! I want to eat anko!! I want to eat anko!! With that in mind, I bought the standard dorayaki. It was good, with a soft and easy-to-eat texture and a moderately sweet but tasty anko filling. There are no major variations between stores, so you can enjoy it with peace of mind. Yes, I think it's worth trying.

In the Kansai region, it seems that everyone knows about it. When it comes to delicious Imagawayaki or Obanyaki, people say "Gozako." I had never heard of it before because I am from Hokkaido. I happened to come across it at Takashimaya's basement while running errands. It was Saturday lunchtime, and there was a constant line of about 10 elderly people. Maybe they were buying souvenirs. Everyone seemed to be buying around 10 pieces each. I only bought one for myself, which cost 85 yen. My impression after eating it was that it was fluffy and had a "gentle sweetness." It was incredibly delicious Imagawayaki with a sense of stability, probably because it was freshly baked.

On the shelf of the store, there are packed sweet red bean paste. Behind the glass, staff are diligently baking red bean paste and white bean paste. There is a sign on the glass that says "Hot, please do not touch". I bought the red bean paste. It was freshly baked, hot, with a chewy skin and plenty of sweet red bean paste inside. I plan to try the white bean paste next time.

Now then, Namba Takashimaya (´∀`)/ I had a deep connection with the Hawks here, so let's go shopping~ I tried Königskrone last time and it was disappointing because it was not very sweet. German cakes are satisfying in sweetness, but... as I thought, I wandered around (´ω`(´ω`) laughing and what caught my eye was the classic red bean taiyaki. The small bean taste is good, the flavor is good, and the sweetness is decent. The cost performance is also good, so buying it was not a waste. Thank you for the meal ☆★ (σ´∀`)σ ★☆ Thank you for visiting and viewing ♫ ( ´θ`)ノ

While browsing for souvenirs at Takashimaya, I stumbled upon a popular item - Osaka-style taiyaki. It's always crowded with customers, showing its popularity. As I'm heading back now, I definitely want to get some red bean paste filling. I enjoyed it on the high-speed bus. The perfect level of sweetness is delightful. Eating red bean paste feels like it can help relieve fatigue. When I got home, I warmed up the white bean paste in the microwave. The sweetness of the white bean paste is like that of Ann Suzuki - subtly charming. When it comes to bean paste in Kansai, it's all about Gozakou.

I love ohagi so much. I always crave it periodically. I happened to find the ohagi section while shopping at Takashimaya on this day. Once I saw it, I just had to have it, haha. I ended up buying one white and one red ohagi. I brought them home and ate them right away. The white ohagi got a little squished, but it still tasted great, so I didn't mind. I prefer white bean paste, so I didn't even take a picture before eating it. The red one had azuki bean paste and it was also really delicious. It had been a while since I last had the red one, and it was so good.

I stopped by on my way back from shopping. I love the red bean paste here, so I always buy a lot and keep it frozen when I visit (^^) Today, I enjoyed the hojicha flavor as well. Thank you for the delicious meal ☺️

I can teach you how to fight, but in the end, it's up to you to actually fight. This is a quote from the movie "Dangal". The movie depicts the heartwarming bond between a father and his daughters, and it exceeded expectations. However, it also touches on issues like power harassment in the Japanese wrestling association. The emotions of pride and jealousy are universal. Today, I visited "Gozakou Namba Takashimaya Store" in Osaka and bought some souvenirs on my way back from watching the movie. I bought red bean paste and white bean paste for 170 yen each. They were delicious and my wife and I shared them. The price of 85 yen per piece was really reasonable. I was tempted by the yomogi mochi, but a set of 5 was too much, so I decided to pass. It was a fulfilling experience, and I have no regrets.

The name for "kaitenyaki" varies across the country, such as "obanyaki," "oyaki," and "imagawayaki," but in Hyogo, especially in Kansai, it is often referred to as "kaitenyaki" = "gozakou." Some people may think that "kaitenyaki" is a brand name, but it is actually a common term in Kansai. One popular item is the summer limited edition ice cream called "Anko Daisuki Ice." It looks similar to a certain ice cream from a well-known brand, but the quality is better here. The ice cream is filled with plenty of sweet red bean paste, which is rich and has whole red bean grains. The white milk ice cream part is refreshing and creamy, complementing the richness of the red bean paste. It is satisfying to eat, yet low in calories. It may be overshadowed by the kaitenyaki, but it is highly recommended, especially for red bean paste lovers.

Since visiting "Gozakou" in Wakayama Prefecture two years ago, I had decided to revisit. Recently, after seeing a review by Myレビ, I was excited to visit again. There are many "Gozakou" in the Kansai area, most of which are located inside department stores. It's a bit of a hassle, but I had to go. With my son's guidance, we walked and walked until we finally arrived at this store. I don't remember where we walked exactly. I bought a lot of items to bring back, but they mysteriously disappeared in the car on the way home. Everyone says it's delicious, but for some reason, I feel like the ones in Wakayama were even better. I wonder why, even though they make the anko at the same place.

On the 23rd, I couldn't see the movie "In This Corner of the World" because all seats were sold out, but today it was expanded to TOHO Cinemas Namba and I was able to watch it safely. It was a masterpiece that left a deep impression as the reviews said. And yet, it's amazing that Non (Rena Nounen) was able to achieve such results in her comeback work, when she could have easily been erased from the entertainment industry. She's a talented person. Tonight, my wife bought red bean and white bean sweets as a souvenir from "Gozakou Nanba Takashimaya" and we each had half after dinner. I've eaten countless of these before, but I'm always impressed by the quality. The generous amount of bean paste gives a satisfying texture, and it's hard to choose between red bean and white bean. And all this for less than 100 yen each, it's truly surprising. Today, my hunger was once again satisfied with happiness. I'm truly grateful. Thank you for the meal.

Revisit. Just watching the craftsman's hands at work is enjoyable, but eating is still the best, right? This time, I bought four red and two white. I usually prefer red, but sometimes I mix in a little white because it tastes delicious. I feel like the white has a slightly stronger sweetness, but maybe that's just my taste?
Located in the Namba Takashimaya department store basement, in the area between the deli section and the area for Western and Japanese sweets. They bake them right in front of you, so you can buy them piping hot. Even in the summer, there's usually a line, but it gets even longer in the winter. Red and white are available, but red is definitely the most popular. They tend to make more red ones when baking. Of course, they're delicious hot off the grill, but even reheated the next day, they're still tasty. My favorite way is to almost heat it in the microwave and then finish it in the toaster oven. I recommend turning on the toaster oven to preheat before putting it in. But the best is still when it's freshly baked, right? Sometimes, I can't help but buy the anko (sweet red bean paste) near the register. It has a mild sweetness and tastes delicious on its own or in sweet red bean soup.
