I ate them right away ^ ^ Donut Plain: It has a simple taste. It feels like they just sprinkled a lot of sugar on the bread dough. Scone Sandwich Matcha & Red Bean: Less sweet than expected. I personally would have liked more red bean. It gives more of a meal-like feeling than a snack feeling.

The Hanshin Tigers won the championship! So, I haven't been to the Hanshin Department Store in a long time, but I have to go when they win. By the way, my favorite team is the Hanshin Tigers, and my second favorite team is the Giants. But no one believes me when I talk about it ⭐︎ As for the Kitano Kaori Bread (cheese), when you eat it without heating it up, the moist and smooth dough with a wheat aroma is full of flavor. And when you lightly toast it and try it, the moisture evaporates just right, creating a crispy texture with the perfect cheese flavor. Both ways of eating are hard to choose between, but I prefer eating it without heating it up because you can really taste the Kitano Kaori's goodness. However, the heated cheese is also hard to resist (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)

I enjoyed it without toasting the bread. It was soft and moist all the way to the crust, very delicious. The taste is not too strong, quite light. I chose a small portion, which was perfect for a little taste test. It was a basic, fluffy and moist delicious bread!

On the first floor of Hankyu Department Store Umeda Main Store, there is a place called "Pan Terrace" where delicious bread from all over the country is gathered. The floor is filled with a variety of mouth-watering breads on display, making it a feast for the eyes. This time, I purchased bread from The Standard Bakers, a bakery with stores mainly in the Kanto region including Tochigi Prefecture (their first store in Kansai). I chose the walnut ciabatta. The walnut ciabatta is made by slowly fermenting with two types of homemade yeast and then baking it. It has a simple taste with a slight acidity, and the walnuts add a nice accent, making it quite delicious.

Right now, Hankyu Department Store is going through something amazing. About half of the second floor is filled with bread! They are selling a huge variety of bread, including the bread made by Hankyu Department Store and products from various bakeries in Kansai that change daily. I bought "Kinako Stick" from the permanent THE STANDARD BAKERS section on this day. It's like the French bread version of the old-fashioned fried bread. Inside, there is a creamy kinako filling, completely filled with kinako flavor. The taste was as expected, delicious as if you were chewing on kinako.

I was casually looking at bread when I noticed many tags saying "recommended by the staff," so I ended up buying it. It was a canelé made with Kitano Kaori. The outside was crispy and crunchy, while the inside was half-cooked like a pudding. The plain one was sweet and rich, but the chocolate one was slightly bitter with a deep chocolate flavor. Personally, I prefer the chocolate one.

This is a bakery located in Hankyu Umeda. I bought something I wanted to eat on my way. In the morning, canelés were not lined up at the storefront, so I inquired and was told they would be available around noon. I revisited at 1:00 pm and purchased them. The Kitanokaori bread (cheese) half size for 346 yen is made with Kitanokaori flour and has cheese rolled inside. It doesn't have a strong cheese smell, and when baked, the cheese melts nicely and goes well with the bread. It has a taste that doesn't get boring whether eaten as is or used for a sandwich. The croquette burger (422 yen) has a soft bun with plenty of sauce and a croquette sandwiched inside. The croquette has a moist coating with sauce and goes well with the flavor of potatoes and cabbage. The canelé has a crispy outer layer and a moist and chewy inside, providing a satisfying texture. The plain one (260 yen) has a buttery flavor and a slightly sweet taste similar to pudding. The chocolate one (324 yen) is a collaboration with Chocolate Dari K, with a chocolate aroma and a not too sweet taste, making it completely different from the plain canelé. The brioche donut (350 yen) has a soft dough with a chocolate sweetness. Inside, there is a ganache made with Dari K chocolate, providing a rich sweet taste. Every time I visit, I encounter various types of bread, making it a place that never gets boring. I also found the canelé delicious this time, so I will probably buy it again every time I come to the department store.

Located on the 1st floor of Hankyu Department Store, this popular shop originally from Tochigi has expanded to Kanto region as well. I couldn't resist the delicious-looking bread and ended up buying the following items: - Kitano Kaori's raw canelé (¥260): A canelé made with rare wheat Kitano Kaori from Hokkaido. Crispy on the outside and surprisingly moist on the inside, the texture is exquisite. The dough is incredibly delicious. - Kitano Kaori's raw canelé (chocolate) (¥324): Even before tasting it, the rich aroma of cocoa is enticing. A luxurious canelé made in collaboration with Kyoto's chocolate specialty store Dari K, featuring a rich chocolate flavor. The dough is delicious and the flavorful chocolate taste makes this canelé exceptional.

I'm heading to "Sushidokoro Ikegami" in Settsu City, where I made a reservation for a seat at 8:45 pm 3 months ago. I will take the Kyoto Line from JR Osaka Station and get off at Senrioka Station, where I also purchased round-trip Shinkansen tickets for my Tokyo trip next week at the Midori no Madoguchi window at Kitashinchi Station. It was still too early to go, so I decided to get some bread for tomorrow morning at the Pan Terrace on the 1st floor of Hankyu Umeda Main Store. After browsing around, I bought a Coffee Roll for 319 yen, a Salted Butter Anpan for 368 yen, a Brioche Donut (Cinnamon) for 220 yen, and a Brioche Cream Pan for 324 yen from "The Standard Bakers." I had visited this place a little over 2 years ago and bought some "Curry Pan" and other items that were reasonably priced for a department store, but this time I ended up choosing 4 slightly more expensive items, as there weren't many options left near closing time. The next morning and the morning after, I enjoyed 2 of the breads each with a hot drip coffee. The Coffee Roll was a luxurious sweet bread with a great combination of coffee aroma and chocolate. The Salted Butter Anpan was delicious with butter wrapped around red bean paste, but at 368 yen, it made me hesitate a bit. The Brioche Donut with cinnamon flavor was tasty with plenty of powdered sugar on the fried dough, but it would have been perfect with some red bean paste inside (lol). My favorite was the Brioche Cream Pan, with its soft bread dough giving a rich taste of eggs and butter, and the gentle sweetness of the custard cream inside was also excellent. Enjoy your meal! I love the first floor of the Hankyu Umeda Main Store ❤️ It's a great spot with a variety of sweets from all over the country, as well as a well-stocked bakery. You can also enjoy events there, so whenever I go to Umeda, I always stop by. In 2022, donuts became a big trend, right? I've tried many different ones, but there was a delicious one at Hankyu Umeda Main Store, THE STANDARD BAKERS. This popular bakery, based in Tochigi Prefecture with stores in Tokyo, made its Kansai debut last year. I've purchased from them several times since their opening, and one day I noticed they started selling donuts. At first, they only had plain and cinnamon sugar, but recently they have added cream, chocolate, and the newly released red bean paste-filled donut. The variety keeps increasing. I'm not a fan of cinnamon, so I usually go for plain, cream, or chocolate. The dough is soft and chewy with a crispy texture, not greasy at all. The round donuts are gone in a flash. When filled with cream, they get even better! Personally, I prefer the cream-filled ones. The chocolate one has custard inside and chocolate on top, it's delicious but can get heavy quickly. I really like it! When they line up freshly fried donuts, a bell rings, so I always end up buying some when that happens. They were sold out by the evening on some days, so if you catch them freshly fried, give them a try. Thank you for the meal! One of the bakeries on the first floor of Hankyu Department Store. It seems to be the first permanent store in Kansai. I was undecided, but I was tempted by the freshly made pastries! I bought a "Chestnut Cream Donut" for 280 yen. It's a brioche donut filled with chestnut cream. It was still warm and delicious. Freshly made pastries are truly irresistible.

I bought Garlic France (190 yen + tax) and Mozzarella & Bacon Tomato (235 yen + tax). The Garlic France is made with Hokkaido wheat French bread and homemade garlic butter. The garlic flavor is not too strong, and you can also taste the parsley flavor. The bread is not too hard, and the small size makes it easy for one person to finish. The Mozzarella & Bacon Tomato looks like a small pizza. The large bacon pieces are juicy and go well with the cherry tomatoes. I had previously tried other bread from this place that had a unique and delicious flavor, but this time the taste was as expected from the appearance. I look forward to trying other bread options in the future.

I visited Hankyu Department Store after its renovation for the first time. On the first floor, there was a spacious bakery. They had a self-service style where you take a tray and pick your items. I bought a Cheese Curry Bun, which was a Hankyu Umeda exclusive. It was delicious, but the cheese flavor was quite strong, overpowering the curry taste. If you want to enjoy the curry, you should go for a regular Curry Bun instead. It was small in size but satisfying and tasty.

On the way back from Nishinomiya on June 12, 2022, I finally visited Hankyu Department Store in Osaka. I got off at Osaka Station and it has changed so much that I couldn't recognize it! I headed towards Hankyu Department Store from above. I couldn't cross the stairs to go underground, so I had to climb the stairs to the pedestrian crossing. I was looking for groceries, so I went downstairs where various specialty shops were lined up. The renewed Hankyu Department Store was dazzling! The shiny glass walls were captivating. Inside the store, I saw a line of famous Western confectionery shops that I had never heard of before. Some shops had long lines even though they weren't selling anything yet. I made a round, but most of the shops were similar to those in Kyoto Isetan. Knowing that they also focus on bread from foodie reviews, I looked for the bread corner. It was on the first floor, and they had delicious-looking bread. There were lines here too. I looked for bread for breakfast, but everything was expensive! I settled for the cheapest option, a loaf of bread for 310 yen. The next morning, the cheese toast was sweet and fluffy, different from the usual bread. It was about three times the price, but definitely worth it. It was a bread that I would want to eat every day. Thank you for the meal!

The other day, on my way back from Umeda, I stopped by Pan Terrace on the 1st floor of Hankyu Department Store. This place features a selection of popular bakeries, making it a great spot for bread lovers. Although I had avoided it in the past due to the crowds since its renovation, this time it wasn't busy as it was a weekday. I walked around and ended up buying a bacon focaccia and a curry bun from THE STANDARD BAKERS. On the 1st floor, there were also other sections like Snack Terrace, Food Festival Terrace, and specialty coffee and tea shops. Additionally, there was a Grand Food Hall Mini on the same floor, which is a popular select shop for food items located in Ashiya.

The bakery had a wide sales space, so I decided to try some of their bread. They had a variety of standard bread such as hard and soft bread, as well as pastries. I purchased a few that caught my eye. What I noticed was that all of them had delicious bread. Especially delicious was the bread with walnuts and currants. It was a hard bread, but surprisingly chewy! The cheese bread had a generous amount of cheese and the fluffy bread was also delicious. I couldn't stop eating and finished one in no time. The bakery is located on the first floor of the department store and is easy to visit, so I will definitely stop by again.

In May 2022, I went to Hankyu Umeda Main Store to buy bread in the morning and this time I used "THE STANDARD BAKERS". It's been about half a year since my last visit. Second visit. The cheese bread from Kitano Kaori is moist and chewy, delicious! The brioche was toasted with fermented butter and honey. The dough is rich in eggs and butter, so it burns easily and was a bit overcooked, which was a shame. The soft, sweet, and crisp texture of the bread was very much to my liking. I liked it so much that I am likely to continue visiting for a while.
