Today (11/18) I visited this restaurant for the first time in 7 years. I didn't post a review on "Tabelog" the last time I visited, so I decided to visit again this time. I arrived at the restaurant as soon as it opened, expecting a line, but there was no one waiting. I entered and purchased a ticket for the "Mackerel Back Fat Shoyu Ramen (760 yen)" at the ticket machine. Most people seemed to be eating the "Rich Sea Bream Salt Ramen" based on reviews, but I wanted to try a soy sauce flavored dish, so I chose the "Mackerel Back Fat Shoyu Ramen". The bowl arrived quickly, with straight thin noodles peeking out of the soy-colored soup with back fat floating on top, covered by a large rare chashu, and garnished with watercress, seaweed, and pink naruto. When I tasted the soup, it had a wonderful richness from the fusion of chicken and mackerel (presumably), almost like a work of art. The noodles were chewy and coated the soup well, and the chashu was delicious, with a good amount of mackerel meat in it. Before I knew it, I had finished the meal, and it was an extremely satisfying bowl after a long time. It's no wonder this place has been selected as one of the top 100 restaurants for three consecutive years. That's the summary of my experience.

Near JR Fukushima Station in Osaka, there is a ramen restaurant that serves a rich sea bream salt ramen with a strong sea bream broth that is incredibly delicious. They also offer a lunch special of mackerel rice for only 190 yen, which is tasty and great value for money. The sea bream salt ramen with seasoned egg costs 940 yen.

I came to Fukushima Ichimen. I ordered the rich sea bream salt ramen. The soup is very creamy, almost like it's been blended. The flavor of the sea bream is distinct in the soup. The chashu is tender, possibly cooked at a low temperature, and the medium-thick noodles have a very pleasant texture. Thank you for the meal.

Due to time constraints, I had to skip the 100 famous shops in the Umeda area and ended up at Fukushimai Men, which I had in mind as a backup plan. This is my first time writing on Tabelog, but I have actually visited this place several times before. The sea bream broth has a rich sea bream flavor, yet it is light and delicious. Fish broth ramen has been trending recently, but this one has a unique taste that stands out. One great thing about this place is that despite receiving high praise from everyone, it is usually easy to get a seat (most of the time). So even if it's a busy lunch spot where you can't predict the wait time, this place is not a problem. And the noodles are consistently of high quality. It's the best. It seems like they offer free extra noodles during lunchtime.

Visited at 11:10 on Saturday. One customer already there. The interior of the restaurant smelled strongly of fish. It was quite unpleasant. I wondered if the air conditioning could do something about it. It took about 5 minutes until the food was served. The ramen itself wasn't too bad, but the smell was off-putting. I couldn't fully enjoy it because of that. The appearance of the ramen was decent, but the overall impression was negative due to the smell. The walls and signs said something about "drinking fish," which left a bad impression. [Additional note]: Looking at other reviews' photos, it seems they sometimes cut the boiled egg in half and sometimes they don't. It seems quite inconsistent.

The taste was more ordinary than expected. The soup was light and went well with the thin straight noodles. I could also taste the back fat. When I visited the restaurant around 2 o'clock, there were only about 3 people there. It was located in the basement of a building and was a bit hard to find.

In front of Fukushima Station, on the B1F of Lagza Square directly connected to Hotel Hankyu. Not only is it a ramen shop with a hundred famous stores, but there are also many autographed color papers of celebrities posted at the storefront, indicating its popularity and credibility. The shop seems to have been featured in various media based on the stickers displayed. I heard from people in the entertainment industry that the food is delicious, and since it's close to my company, I decided to visit. There are 3 counter seats and 4 table seats. During lunch, there are empty seats, but since there is only one staff member, there may be a wait for a few people until the cleanup is done and new customers can be seated. The theme of this shop is "drinking fish." The rich sea bream salt ramen with boiled egg (940 yen) features a soup made by simmering sea bream bones to the extreme, with no fishy smell and a refreshing taste. The medium-thick straight noodles are very smooth. The three slices of rare chashu are very tender and well-prepared. This shop takes a completely opposite approach to the hearty sea bream-themed "Hugging Sea Bream" in Higobashi. Yuzu pepper for flavor variation also goes well with it. Just as I was saying this, the smell of the mackerel back fat ramen ordered by the person next to me hit my nose... The smell alone made it look so delicious! So, without waiting long, I came back two days later for the Mackerel Back Fat Ramen (760 yen) with a side of mackerel rice (190 yen). There is no fishy smell at all, just a concentrated taste and aroma of mackerel broth. It's really good. The mackerel rice unexpectedly has a good portion size. The cost performance is also good. I could do without the kaiware garnish, but overall, it was a delicious meal!

Ramen restaurant located in the basement of Hotel Hankyu in Fukushima area. The interior is clean with a counter and tables. The mixed saba soba with egg, kimchi, and shredded saba fish has medium thick noodles that are well coated in a rich sauce. The dive rice comes with corn rice.

Now, onto the second restaurant in Osaka. I was torn between a popular rich and creamy ramen shop and this seafood-based one, but decided to go for the latter to avoid overwhelming my taste buds. I purchased the rich sea bream salt ramen with flavored egg for 940 yen from the ticket machine. I took a seat at the counter and waited for a while. Finally, it arrived. First, the noodles. The medium-thick, hand-cut noodles were smooth and had a good chewiness to them. They were easy on the throat and had a nice bite. The portion was just right, not too much or too little. Next, the soup. Oh, this was quite unique even in appearance. A layer of white foam covered the surface of the slightly translucent, salty broth underneath. When I took a sip, it was refreshing yet the rich sea bream flavor was evident. It wasn't addictive, but it showcased a high standard. As for the toppings, the flavored egg was soft and nicely seasoned. The mustard greens added a sharpness that balanced out the potentially monotonous soup. There were pink and white fish cakes on top, which was both delightful and unusual. The chashu was thinly sliced and cooked at a low temperature. It absorbed the flavors well without overpowering the relatively mild soup. In conclusion, this ramen was visually unique and featured a distinct sea bream broth. It's definitely worth a try at Hotel Hankyu B1F. Ramen is truly a delicious dish. See you again. I have switched to Ameblo: https://ameblo.jp/yokohama-rameo

From Fukushima Station, head straight to "Fukushima Ichi Men" located on the basement floor of Hotel Hankyu. Despite not being in a station building, the unique strategy of being located underground stands out. Without the autographs of famous people displayed outside, the restaurant doesn't give off the impression of being popular at first glance. Visiting during lunchtime on a weekday, the place was packed and we had to wait about 5 minutes outside before being seated. The owner was managing everything alone, so it seemed quite challenging for them. I ordered the rich Sea Bream Salt Ramen for ¥840. As the restaurant claims, "Drink the fish!", the rich flavor of sea bream in the creamy white soup hits you. Surprisingly, the aftertaste is refreshing. The lightly seasoned pink chashu and simple noodles complement the soup's flavor well. It was delicious.

I tried the limited-time chilled mackerel noodles! You can choose between a large or regular size. It was a very hot day, so it was refreshing to eat. The mackerel and the meat on top were very delicious! The seasoning was not too light, making it really easy to eat. I want to go back again!

I ordered the summer limited chilled ramen. It's a rare ramen that uses vinegar-cured mackerel, perfect for summer with its refreshing taste. The soup is also full of seafood broth, so at first it felt like cold noodles, but as I ate it, I started to feel its deliciousness. It's also close to Fukushima Station, so I recommend it. Next time, I'll try the regular ramen.

On August 4, 2023 (Friday) at 11:55, I made a surprise visit to this popular ramen shop near JR Fukushima Station. Surprisingly, the restaurant was almost empty when I visited. However, the owner was working alone that day, so it took some time for the food to be served. I was intrigued by the limited cold salt ramen, but for my first visit, I ordered the rich sea bream salt ramen!
- Shop Features:
- Counter seating for 5, and about 13 table seats
- Payment is by food ticket only, cash only
- Free extra noodle service during lunchtime
- Order:
- Rich sea bream salt ramen (with seasoned egg) / ¥990
[Tasting Notes]
- Soup: The creamy soup with a prominent sea bream flavor. The aroma of sea bream spreads with each sip, a delight for seafood lovers!
- Noodles: Thick straight noodles with a chewy texture. The combination of sea bream fragrance and wheat is delicious.
- Toppings: Thinly sliced large pork chashu (3 pieces), seasoned egg, and kaiware radish. The chashu is lean and refreshing. The seasoned egg is perfectly runny and delicious.
Overall, this ramen is a must-try for those who enjoy seafood broth. Especially during lunchtime when you can get free extra noodles, it's a great deal. Although I didn't have extra noodles this time due to various reasons... haha. I've decided to revisit to try the limited-time cold salt ramen. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Osaka 100 famous stores tour ❤️ 5 minutes walk from Fukushima Station ✨✨ Located in the basement of the building, a bit hard to find. This time I ordered the limited edition noodle dish, Shime-Saba Cold Shio Ramen! The soup is a cold shio ramen with a strong bonito broth flavor! The acidity of the Shime-Saba, the crunch of the shell-splitting myoga, and the tangy taste of the vinegar citrus made it even more refreshing and delicious. Thank you for the meal!

I visited during lunchtime. I arrived 3 minutes before opening and was first in line. The restaurant is located on the B1 floor of Hotel Hankyu and is known for its seafood dishes. It opened slightly late today, but there were no other customers waiting. The interior is a bit worn out but spacious, with a slightly unique smell. I ordered the "Mackerel Back Fat Ramen for 760 yen". It arrived in about 7 minutes. The soup had a nice mackerel flavor and richness from the back fat. It was not as strong as I expected, but rather light and easy to eat. The thin noodles were cooked perfectly and matched well with the soup. The toppings included rare pork loin char siu, shredded mackerel, seaweed, naruto, sprouts, onions, and green onions. The char siu had a mild flavor and was best eaten early. Overall, the ramen was easy to eat but lacked a bit of impact. Thank you for the meal.

I discovered this restaurant on Instagram and was curious, so I visited with my friend! It's a shop where you buy food tickets. The store is not very large, but there are both table and counter seats. The atmosphere is not like a typical ramen shop, with pop illustrations on the walls. The ramen had a strong Japanese flavor with a broth made from sea bream. It was delicious with yuzu pepper and wasabi. The chili powder was also spicy and tasty. It had a taste that girls would like. The staff were very friendly and approachable.

The concept of drinking fish is amazing. It was hot, so I was invited to have chilled ramen. The seared mackerel had quite a strong acidity, which I didn't like. The cold soup was really delicious! It was refreshing, with a nice touch of myoga. I finished it in no time. I had the experience of drinking fish! It would have been better if it was grilled salted mackerel instead of seared mackerel.

This is a ramen shop near Fukushima Station that serves Order Saba (Mackerel) Back Oil Shoyu Ramen and Rich Tai (Sea Bream) Salt Ramen. There are also Ramen Life JET and Moeyo Menjo nearby. When I arrived around 11:30, there were about two customers already there. It operates on a ticket system, so I had to buy a ticket first. Since only large bills were available, I had to get change. I decided to order both the Saba and Tai ramen to try both of their signature dishes. When I handed the tickets to the owner, he asked, "Which one would you like to have first?" I chose the Saba ramen to start with. The owner was running the shop alone, and I could imagine how busy it must be during peak hours. The Saba ramen arrived, and the black soup with a vibrant rare char and floating back oil looked appetizing. The soup was delicious, with a clear mackerel umami and a sharp soy sauce flavor. The sweetness of the mackerel back oil was also very appetizing. The thin noodles had a perfect texture, and the combination with the soup was excellent. The rare char, despite being thinly sliced, was very juicy, and the mackerel pieces at the bottom of the soup added a rich flavor. I was really enjoying it. Just when I was thinking how much I liked it, the Tai ramen arrived. It had a rich white soup with a striking pink rare char. The soup was creamy with a strong tai umami and a bold saltiness, just as delicious as the Saba ramen. The noodles were slightly thicker than the Saba ramen, with a chewy texture that complemented the soup perfectly. Adding yuzu pepper on the table created a wonderful synergy, enhancing the mild flavor of the soup. I was very satisfied with both dishes, but personally, I preferred the Saba ramen.

This is my first time visiting! I was able to enter without waiting in line as I went right after the store opened. This time, I ordered the rich sea bream salt ramen (840 yen). It was my first time trying a sea bream-based ramen, so I was curious about how it would taste. But when I tried it, I was surprised! It was incredibly delicious! The location is underground!

This is a shop known for its rich red snapper soup. The cloudy soup is packed with the aroma of red snapper, but it's a bit too salty. The char siu is on the thin side, but there are six slices so it's satisfying to eat. The flavored egg has a semi-soft yolk and is delicious. The broccoli sprouts and purple onions are meant to be accents, but I wish there were more of them. They seem to be overshadowed by the soup and just end up being mere decorations. Also, the lack of energy from the staff is a bit concerning...

Located in the basement of a building near Fukushima Station, this ramen shop is surrounded by neighboring stores in a highly competitive area. Despite this, there was no line and we were able to sit down easily, making it a stress-free experience. The Taisho Ramen, as its name suggests, has an amazing aroma and tastes delicious. The noodles are chewy and easy to bite into, which is also great.
