Recently, a new Ebi Soba Udon restaurant opened in the food court at Aeon Mall Kashiihama. I vaguely remember eating Karubi Bukkake at the Sumiyoshi branch before, but it didn't leave much of an impression. For now, I tried the Kake Udon for 390 yen. Here, you can enjoy unlimited toppings such as tempura, takana pickles, and chopped pickled vegetables! The udon noodles were soft and the Hakata-style broth was consistent. Personally, I prefer this over the Karubi Bukkake. Simple udon is the best, allowing you to truly taste the essence of udon noodles.

Miyawaka City and Hakata's famous udon can be enjoyed at the food court. Popular choices include Kalbi Udon and Stamina Udon, but the regular udon is also recommended. The Kake Udon (390 yen) comes in a cute bowl with an illustration of Ebisu-sama, the shop's mascot. Tempura bits and pickles are available for self-service at the counter. The broth is rich and simple but delicious. The noodles are soft yet firm, making them easy to eat. The udon is served quickly and is crispy and delicious, so it is highly recommended.

Ion Kashiihama "Ebisuya Udon" for lunch while teleworking. When I visited Ion Kashiihama after a long time, I found "Ebisuya Udon" in the food court. It was the runner-up in the Udon Grand Prix in 2014. The menu looked appetizing, so I tried the cold Kalbi Bukkake Udon for 840 yen. The amount of meat seemed a bit less compared to the menu image, but the meat was cut into easy-to-eat pieces. The noodles had a nice firm texture. Overall, it was delicious! Maybe it would be even better served warm.

A new restaurant opened in the food court on March 1st. I was happy because there used to be no udon shop in the food court. Their recommended dish is the Kalbi Bukkake Udon (780 yen). It was my first time trying it, so I decided to go with the recommended menu. After receiving a buzzer, I waited for a while and then went to the counter to pick up my order. The dish looked appetizing with the nicely grilled kalbi. The flavor was sweet and savory like a grilled meat sauce. The noodles were soft and fluffy, typical of Hakata style. I cracked the egg yolk and mixed it in. It was delicious, but there were tough gristly parts in the kalbi which was a bit disappointing. I don't remember kalbi having those tough parts before, so maybe it was just my portion. If the kalbi was cut into larger pieces as shown in the photos, it would have been perfect. Apart from that, it was a tasty udon dish. They have a variety of other menu items, so I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal!
