From Temmabashi Station on the JR Osaka Loop Line, head east on Route 25. At the intersection of Minamihashibashi, enter the Ikuno Motodori shopping street and proceed about 50 meters. You will find a fry shop just before the evacuation route. The storefront is filled with various deep-fried items such as tempura, croquettes, and more, all at affordable prices typical of the downtown area. I purchased a mixed tempura and a rare sweet sea bream fry. Although I forgot the exact price, it was around 600 yen in total. The tempura included pumpkin, sweet potato, onion, eggplant, green beans, and the essential pickled ginger in Kansai cuisine. They were all lightly fried, bringing out the sweetness of the vegetables. They were delicious even without reheating. The sweet sea bream fry was thick and juicy, with a crispy coating. The thin batter allowed the elegant flavor of the sea bream to shine through. This shop, which seems frozen in time from the Showa era in the midst of the shopping street, retains the goodness of that era. I feel like I will visit this place again and again.

This shop is located about a 10-minute walk from Teradacho Station on the Osaka Loop Line. It was visited by Hamachan on the Kansai local late-night show "Gobugobu" in the past. I bought it to have as a side dish for dinner at home. The curry croquette reminded me of the taste of the curry croquettes I used to eat often in the neighborhood. Thank you for the meal.

I suddenly felt like eating fried food, so I visited this shop that still operates in a Showa-style in a nostalgic Showa-era shopping street, specializing in fried food. I had a deliciously hot and crispy ham cutlet and a tasty hamo (pike conger) dish. The eggplant was also crispy and sweet, while the prices were reasonable. It's a great place to explore on a rainy day, with a variety of fried foods like croquettes, mince cutlets, and fish fry available. The shop is located in a covered arcade, so you don't need an umbrella to walk around. The prices are affordable, and the food is delicious whether hot or cold. The hirikatsu (mini pork cutlets) were thinly sliced and tasty, while the ham cutlet was perfectly round and satisfying. The shop even gave me a bonus serving of hot and crispy squid tempura. Overall, it was a delightful experience exploring this nostalgic shopping street and enjoying the delicious fried foods.

My relative brought me some croquettes and said they were delicious. I searched online and found out they were featured on a TV show called "Gobugobu" a year ago. I had them for dinner and they were indeed tasty. The croquettes were big with a strong potato taste, but the meat filling was a bit lacking. They had a hint of pepper and were slightly sweet due to the sweetened meat. Overall, they were delicious, but more suitable as a snack rather than a main dish.

This shop is located about a 10-minute walk from Teradacho Station on the Osaka Loop Line. It was featured on the Kansai local late-night show "Gobugobu" in the past when Hamachan visited. This time, I visited for the first time in two years. I bought croquettes to have as a side dish for dinner at home. The sauce matched well, making it a croquette suitable for a side dish. Thank you for the meal.
