After watching a movie, I went to Kanazawa Umaimon Sushi but there was a 60-minute wait, so I came here instead. I still had to wait for about 30 minutes. I ordered the lunch omakase sushi, which cost around 1700 yen. I got a small oolong tea for free with my movie ticket stub. The restaurant had a calm atmosphere and the service was polite. I sat at the counter and watched the chef make each piece of sushi in front of me. There weren't any flashy ingredients, but the sushi was delicious and reasonably priced. It might be better than waiting at a conveyor belt sushi restaurant.

I had the Ajisai set for 1,400 yen, which included sea bream, herring roe, medium fatty tuna, salmon roe, shrimp, and conger eel, along with miso soup. The sea bream was served elegantly with kabosu and salt, enhancing its sweetness and umami, complementing the soft acidity of the rice. The herring roe was not really my favorite, but the medium fatty tuna was rich and melted in my mouth. The shrimp was firm and thoughtfully cut into two pieces, which I appreciated. The conger eel was served with two types of sauce, both delicious. The fluffy texture of the eel melted in my mouth quickly. I also tried some nigiri sushi: sea bream for 290 yen, salmon for 230 yen, and horse mackerel for 290 yen. The sea bream was so good that I had another piece, this time served with ponzu sauce. I would have preferred salt, but the ponzu was also tasty. The salmon was fresh without any fishy taste, and the horse mackerel was flavorful with its fatty richness. The only downside was the slightly high price of the drinks. Overall, I had a satisfying and leisurely dining experience.

I sat at the counter and ordered the chef's choice sushi lunch for one person. It made me feel like a grown-up. I ordered the assorted sushi (¥1,740) which included Thai snapper (with yuzu salt), salmon (with yuzu salt), tuna, marinated kelp with plum, seafood yukhoe gunkan roll (with sesame oil), squid (with yuzu salt), amberjack (with grated ponzu), egg, eggplant, eel (with sauce & salt), and miso soup. The freshness was great, and the chef's work was meticulous, allowing me to enjoy the flavor of the fish without needing much soy sauce. I tried Hanasushi for the first time for lunch!! There were counter seats and about two table seats. The lunch set was not too expensive and they had two types of soy sauce, Kansai-style and Kanto-style, so you could enjoy the difference. The staff were also very nice.

The inside of the restaurant is bright and smells like a sushi restaurant. I feel reassured to use it because there are 3 stores in Kita-Shinchi. There is a veteran sushi chef near the entrance, so it is a truly authentic sushi restaurant. When I want to eat medium-priced sushi in Umeda, I visit this place. They also have a variety of a la carte dishes like fish dishes. Depending on the chef, their personalities vary. The manager and the waitress are elegant and pleasant. The sushi and other dishes are delicious. If you drink alcohol and eat for two people for less than 20,000 yen, I think it's good value for money. If the amount of sashimi is slightly increased, there would be no complaints.

This was my first time at this restaurant, recommended by an acquaintance. I sat at the counter and ordered an "Oolong tea" for drinks and the set menu "Botan". The Botan set (3,800 yen excluding tax) includes 10 pieces of nigiri sushi, chawanmushi, miso soup, one side dish, and a Japanese-style dessert. The chef prepared and served the sushi one by one in front of us. The sushi was fresh, with perfect balance in the size of the toppings and rice. Everything was delicious. I also ordered a tempura assortment and 2 additional pieces of seasonal nigiri. I enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere, and I am very satisfied.
