This is a shop located inside Osaka Station's Lucua. I missed the lunch timing in Osaka city, so I went to this shop that is open all day! It used to be only in Kanto, but now you can see it popping up in Osaka too. You buy a meal ticket at the entrance ticket machine (cash only). There are three categories on the ticket machine: "dashichazuke," "meat udon," and "side menu." The types of "dashichazuke" include sea bream, seared mentaiko with takana, small shrimp, small pillar, Iso-ten, kettle-fried shirasu with Minami Kume, Yamagata dashi with yuba chirimen, tuna fisherman-style, Amami Oshima chicken rice-style, grilled salmon and ikura parent and child, and cold soup (Miyazaki local cuisine), among others. The seasonal limited edition is yellowtail with yuzu pepper. For meat udon, you can choose toppings like hot spring egg, green vegetables, and fried tofu. Side menu options include korokke, fried chicken, and minced cutlet. For dashichazuke, there is also a "half & half" option where you can choose two types. I ordered the "dashichazuke (half & half)" for 1200 yen, which comes with side dishes like hijiki, green vegetables, and chilled tofu. I chose yellowtail with yuzu pepper and small shrimp, small pillar, and Iso-ten. I selected a small rice portion and added kettle-fried shirasu for 100 yen. You can pour as much broth as you like from the teapot into your bowl. The yellowtail was served slightly rare, and the tempura items were not piping hot since they are pre-fried, but they tasted great when combined with the broth. It's nice to enjoy the light and crispy texture with a sprinkle of broth.
