In July, I decided to buy something as a treat for myself. I bought some chocolates to send to my son. He may not love them as much as he used to, but I can't help but remember his favorite things. The compact pack of 5 chocolates is easy to send.

Around 1:30 on Monday, there were five groups waiting for about 30 minutes. Maybe. But it was surprisingly cheap. I'm happy! A mont blanc pastry and tea cost just over 1,000 yen. It seems like the staff are having a hard time because the tables are filling up quickly, even though we haven't finished half of our drinks yet.

During my trip to Hakodate, I visited the café at Rokkatei. It is a shop attached to Rokkatei's souvenir store. I ordered an ice cream sandwich and an iced coffee. The size was just right, not too big, perfect for a light snack. The taste was delicious, and I was very satisfied. I would definitely like to visit again.

After touring Goryokaku, we stopped by here. There is a large window where you can enjoy the view of Goryokaku, which is a big plus. It was my birthday, so I got a special cake and drink for free, which was a great deal. In addition, I ordered the Snow Cheese Ice Cream. This ice cream is a rare treat that you can only get at the shop. Despite being ice cream, the cheese flavor is rich. It paired perfectly with a bitter coffee.

This is a store of Rokkatei located near Goryokaku Tower in Hakodate. There are multiple parking spaces available, making it easily accessible by car. The interior of the store has an attractive and stylish design. I bought and ate the Strawberry Chocolate. It's my favorite chocolate from Rokkatei, and it's the best! ◎

This is a directly managed store of Rokkatei, a representative confectionery maker in Hokkaido. The entire wall facing Goryokaku Park is made of glass, allowing you to enjoy the seasonal views. The store is spacious, with two-thirds of the floor facing Goryokaku Park dedicated to a shopping space where Rokkatei products are displayed. Since many items are individually wrapped, it's great to buy a variety and enjoy the flavors. There is also a cafe space at the end. We decided to go to the cafe since we were there. There was a wait of about 10 groups, so it took a little over an hour. (Order) ◻️Premium 25 (Cheesecake) ¥500 ◻️Kuppe ¥400 ◻️Ume Soda ¥450 The cheesecake is moist and smooth as it is carefully baked. The Kuppe is a bread with white kidney beans and bacon tomato stew sandwiched inside and topped with cheese. It was delicious with a chili con carne-like filling.

"Rokkatei Goryokaku Store" offers a variety of souvenirs and sweets, as well as a café space inside the store. It is a very popular shop with exclusive items only available at the Goryokaku store. Be sure to check it out! Definitely worth a visit. ✨"

There are many types of sweets that I don't usually see, and they are sold individually, so it's fun to try various flavors. I enjoyed the Guogong Village Caramel, Richland, and Mansas. The greenery of Goryokaku Park spreads out all over the window, creating a wonderful atmosphere. The cafe space was smaller than I expected.

There are no titles above or below 2023.5. I wonder why they didn't make the side with a view of Goryokaku Park the seating area... That's why it's "Rokkatei Goryokaku Store." It's located near Hakodate Chuo Police Station. So what, you ask? Well, it might have a deterrent effect, catching shoplifters right away (laughs). My wife said she wanted to stop by Rokkatei, so we visited. When driving in the right lane on Akagawa Street near Hakodate Chuo Police Station, I was told to turn into a side street and make a U-turn. It was a moment when I really questioned if they had a driver's license (^^; The inside of the store is crowded with people from different countries. There are mixed opinions, but for a tourist city like Hakodate, the money that people from other countries spend is a matter of life and death. People from other countries! Please drop lots of money in Hakodate (laughs). If you tell me where you dropped it, I'll go pick it up (laughs). The dorayaki costs 160 yen (tax included). The sweet bean paste has a refined sweetness. Rokkatei is truly skilled at creating a refined taste without being too sweet. The skin is not too heavy and easy to eat. It was a delicious dorayaki.

Rokkatei, a famous confectionery maker representing Hokkaido, has a directly operated store and tea room. The wall facing Goryokaku Park is covered with glass, resembling an art museum. You can enjoy the seasonal views of the park, and during my visit, I was lucky to have a view of the cherry blossoms in full bloom. The seasonal limited edition Strawberry Fromage Blanc was delicious, with a soft sweetness of milk, as expected from Rokkatei, known for dairy products. It was generously filled with strawberries, providing a high level of satisfaction. The original blended tea, likely Ceylon-based, had a refreshing taste that paired well with the dairy sweets. During busy times, you can write your name in the reservation book at the storefront, and if waiting in the parking lot, they will call you by your license plate number. Despite visiting on a weekday afternoon, there was a one-hour wait. The retail section can be used without a wait compared to the tea room. The building is very beautiful and the borrowed scenery is stunning, so even if you don't have time to wait for tea, I recommend visiting. By the way, Rokkatei's signature product is the "Marusei Butter Sand," a biscuit sandwich filled with raisins and white chocolate cream, which is extremely famous as a classic Hokkaido souvenir.

The entrance is so hard to find! It feels like Harry Potter! There's one in Sapporo too, but I bought something for a snack. Through the window, you can see the cherry blossoms at Goryokaku, they're everywhere! It's very Hakodate-like! It's really nice to have lots of cherry blossoms around.

Every time I visit Hakodate, I always stop by the Goryokaku store. This year, the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, and there are many travelers from overseas. I arrived at 10:30 and immediately wrote my name on the waiting list for the café, or else I wouldn't be able to get a seat when it opens at 11. Before 11, I bought some delicious individual Japanese and Western sweets and souvenirs, earning points. When the café opened, I sat down and had cake and a 25-point coffee. When the staff offered a refill, I declined and left early because there were many people waiting. The cake was only 356 yen and really delicious, such a great deal. The meal menu also looks appetizing, I'd like to try it sometime.

When you come to Hakodate, you must visit Goryokaku at least once. At the Goryokaku Park facing Goryokaku, you can enjoy the seasonal views through the large glass windows at Rokkatei. There is a cafe space inside, located on the opposite side of the glass windows. Even so, you can still enjoy the view and have a relaxing time while having tea. Since there are only a few seats available, it's a good idea to put your name down at Rokkatei first when you arrive at Goryokaku, then explore Goryokaku while waiting for your turn. By the way, although it faces Goryokaku, you can't enter the shop from the Goryokaku side. You need to go around and enter from the road. I tried the cakes, but the Snow Kon Cheese is the best! It's a sweet treat made by sandwiching cream cheese with a biscuit, with a shelf life of 2 hours. The biscuit is crispy, and the cheese is rich. It's irresistible for snow and konjac lovers. Coffee is free refills, and they also provide pot service for tea, which is great. Overall, the prices are very affordable, which is really appreciated. Most of the sweets in the shop can be bought individually, so I always enjoy making assortments and giving them as gifts to friends (*´ω`*)

To my beloved Rokkatei, which also has a café attached and was bustling with people. I opted for takeout and ordered the Yuki-kon Cheese. It's a sweet treat made with a baked cheesecake with a subtle sweetness, sandwiched between crispy, mildly sweet Yuki-kon cookies. It was delicious with its freshly made soft and crispy texture. I'll save the Marseille Ice Sandwich for next time. I enjoyed the cream puff at the hotel. The rich and creamy custard filling was truly delightful. The smaller size was also a nice touch. Thank you for the delicious meal.

There are lots of butter sandwiches, dorayaki, biscuits, and Western sweets. It's a shop that represents Hokkaido famous for its confectionery, yet offers reasonable and delicious treats. I also bought a cake, which was cheap and delicious! The rich and smooth cream with strawberries on top of the Chocola Frais was only 350 yen!! The cake was delicious! I ended up buying lots of souvenirs too. Thank you for the meal.

I decided to go to Rokkatei's cafe without hesitation. I had pre-decided to try the hotcakes and snow konn cheese, and also the new hot cheese souffle that started in February. The view of the snowy landscape from the back of the shop was incredibly beautiful. The service from the staff was not the best, but they offered unlimited coffee refills, so I was able to enjoy the atmosphere of Rokkatei while admiring the snow scenery and had a wonderful time!

Today, I bought a 5-piece pack of "Butter Sand" as a snack for myself in Hakodate. I always end up buying this product whenever I see it. In terms of taste and price, I think it's the best among Hokkaido souvenirs.

When you come to Goryokaku, be sure to visit Rokkatei, a shop famous for its butter sandwiches. At this shop, you can buy individual sweets. In the cafe inside the shop, you can also enjoy pancakes. The cafe is quite popular and has limited seating, so there may be a wait, but you can pass the time by shopping for souvenirs or snacks. The coffee is honestly nothing special, but the view of Goryokaku from this shop is like a masterpiece of Japanese painting, truly wonderful. If you come to Goryokaku, or if you come to Hakodate, it is worth visiting and seeing the view. In the cafe, I tried the Yuki-n-ko Cheese, which expires today and cannot be taken home as a souvenir. It was delicious. It's a shame that it can't be a souvenir. Thank you for the meal.

I visited Goryokaku Tower and then walked on the snowy road to this place. After shopping inside, I enjoyed a delicious cake. It happened to be my friend's birthday that day, and the birthday person received a free cake and drink! I was surprised by the generosity of Rokkatei. I was torn between cakes and chose the Fruit Omelette, which brought back nostalgic flavors.

On the 7th day in Hakodate, it was my last free day to roam around. I checked out of Century Marina and left my luggage at the final accommodation. On my way back, I headed towards Goryokaku area once again, and visited this place. Initially, I thought it was far from the bus stop (Goryokaku Park Entrance), so I took the bus one stop further, but it turned out to be easy to find. I arrived around 10:30 am. The store was already open, but I wanted to go to the cafe section, so I waited until 11 am while shopping at the store. As soon as it opened, I went in and placed my order. I already had my menu in mind, hotcakes and iced coffee. It cost a total of 1150 yen. The hotcakes here looked delicious, so I ordered them on a whim. I thought I might have to wait a while for them to be cooked, but they were served in less than 10 minutes. However, they looked nostalgic. I love hotcakes, so I immediately poured butter and syrup over them. Yes, this is it. The taste was exactly as nostalgic as I remembered. The maple syrup and butter didn't overpower the cake itself, which was fluffy and perfectly cooked. It was delicious. Also, the coffee had a nice flavor and was a good palate cleanser. It was the right decision to come here to eat. I would definitely like to have it again. Thank you for the meal.

As the name suggests, this restaurant is located near Goryokaku in Hakodate. Inside, you can find confectionery from Rokkatei, as well as a café where you can enjoy dishes on the spot. The "Chihiro-style Hayashi Rice" (1,000 yen) is a traditional Hayashi Rice dish with a rich and delicious flavor. It is well simmered, making it gentle on the stomach.
