Late night at Nakau~ \(//∇//)~ Nakau's classic dish is definitely the oyakodon~ ( ^ω^ ) Nakau, Sotokanjo Kawachinagano Store 828-1 Takamuko, Kawachinagano City, Osaka Prefecture.

I went back to my parents' house and they told me there's a great donburi restaurant nearby on the highway, so we should go there for lunch. We ended up at Nakau, a chain restaurant that I'm actually quite familiar with. It's interesting because my parents don't usually go to chain restaurants, so it's a new experience for them. We ordered the oyakodon and mini kama-tama udon set. The oyakodon was as good as always, and the udon had a nice chew to it with delicious sauce. I think I'll start recommending the kama-tama udon from now on!

On the 12th of February, I visited the restaurant "Nakau," known for its rice bowl and udon dishes, to try their famous beef bowl before it was discontinued. Unfortunately, when I arrived in the early morning, I saw a notice between the two ticket machines announcing the end of sales for the "Wafu Gyudon" (Japanese-style beef bowl). Disappointed, I decided to try the new menu item, the "Gyusuki Don" (beef sukiyaki bowl) and a side of five pieces of fried chicken. The Gyusuki Don was slightly sweet in flavor, with a smaller portion of meat compared to the regular beef bowl. I ended up adding pickled ginger to finish the meal. Although I didn't get to try the beef bowl I originally wanted, I found the regular beef bowl to be better. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, seasoned with Nakau's original blend of flavors. It's a shame that the iconic beef bowl, said to be the inspiration for a dish in the manga "Kinnikuman," is no longer available. Thank you for the 40 years of delicious beef bowls, Nakau!

After finishing work, I went home, went for a run, then headed to Fuyu no Yu for a relaxing bath. For dinner, I stopped by Nakau and ordered a quick meal. I started with a can of beer and 10 pieces of fried chicken for 300 yen. Then I had curry with pork cutlet, followed by tempura udon. Each time I added more food, I received a discount coupon for the fried chicken, so I couldn't resist getting an extra 5 pieces. The fried chicken here is really cost-effective. Ordering 10 pieces for 300 yen is a great deal. It might be nice to take some home and enjoy it in a cozy setting.

I always rely on this breakfast. I often stop by to eat without telling my wife, but I wonder if I eat too much in the morning. It's cheap at 280 yen. I can't diet if Nakau doesn't stop serving this. (I blame someone else) The morning staff are very serious and work efficiently, making it a pleasant experience. The only downside is the occasional young staff in the morning. Even though there are no customers in the store, they leave the table as it is after eating. It seems like they don't wipe the table either... and they work slowly. The gap is too disappointing.

Went to a relatively new store along the outer ring road. There was only one staff member, maybe because it was before six o'clock. I was hoping for some special menu items, but there was nothing this time. They had posters with updated prices for set meals. I ordered the parent and child rice bowl (regular size for 490 yen, mini for 390 yen) and the meat udon for 390 yen. The food was ready in less than 5 minutes. The broth had a gentle flavor that I liked. The noodles that impressed me the first time I came were now familiar frozen udon noodles. I added a lot of shichimi spice and enjoyed my meal. The parent and child rice bowl that my child ordered had a flavor that kids would like, as they kept asking for more. Thank you for the meal!

I found out that Nakau offers takeout seafood bowls, so I had them get it for me right away! I got a regular ikura bowl for 790 yen, a regular seafood bowl for 690 yen, 2 salads for 200 yen, 2 pickled vegetables for 160 yen, and 2 miso soups for 380 yen. My daughter and I each got a portion, and I started with the ikura bowl by myself. I enjoyed it with some beer! The rice and ikura came in separate containers, which was reassuring. However, I wasn't a fan of the seaweed already on the rice. The portion of rice was quite large, so I only ate half and topped it with the ikura and some shredded seaweed from home. The ikura was plentiful and had a nice texture. It was much tastier than I had imagined. The miso soup was also generous in portion, and even though I poured it into a bowl, I couldn't finish it all. The soup was full of ingredients and delicious. I'm so happy that I could enjoy seafood from Nakau. It was a delightful meal. Thank you for the meal!

My father bought it for me today because I was too tired to do anything. I'm sorry. The oyakodon, karaage, and gyudon were served in separate containers, which was nice. It was pretty delicious. Thank you for the meal.
