I went to Sakai because I wanted to eat Peruvian food. I thought the restaurant opened at 11 o'clock, so I arrived around 11:10, but there was a "Closed" sign. When I asked the lady inside, she said they open at 12 o'clock. Even though the entrance said they open at 11:30, I trusted what the lady said. I entered the restaurant a little after 12 o'clock. The main seating was at the counter, and the restaurant was smaller than I expected. I greeted them and entered. Today's lunch was $10 and it was "Arroz con Pollo, green rice." I ordered that. I also ordered Chicha Morada (purple corn juice) for $4.50, and it was served in a large bottle. It was quite refreshing. The soup arrived, served in a miso soup bowl, but it tasted like Sopa de Ajo (garlic soup) with added green onions. The Arroz con Pollo was served, and there was a lot of rice! It had cilantro in it, making the rice green, but the cilantro flavor was not too strong. The chicken was boneless, tender, and easy to eat with a spoon. Peruvian food is often known for being heavy on oil and salt, but this restaurant's dishes were mild and easy to eat. The side dish was Papa a la Huancaina, a potato dish, which added to the already generous portion. I struggled but managed to finish it all. I couldn't finish the corn juice, so I took half of it to go. I also bought two pastries at the entrance for $3.50.

Restaurant Tia Margarita in Osaka Sakai... I felt like eating some international cuisine and decided to search for it! Let's go to Tia Margarita... Oh!! The menu has my favorite ceviche ♥️ It's probably made with white fish, onions, and it's a perfect match! The portion is generous and although it's not cheap at 1500 yen, it's enough for 3-4 people to share, so I highly recommend trying it. It has a Western-style marinade feel to it... Next, this one below ⬇️ ★ Lomo Saltado 1500 yen Beef, onions, potatoes, tomatoes all stir-fried and served alongside rice! It's a very filling dish, although it felt like there were slightly too many potatoes, haha... ★ Roast Chicken 1500 yen Comes with fries and salad. If you like spicy food, definitely give this a try ♡... It might be ideal to order one dish per person if you're in a large group. The prices are around 1500 yen each, so it's not cheap, but the portions are enough for about two people. The customers all seemed like regulars, and they also have a parking lot available (^.^)~~

I walked aimlessly until I reached the old 26. I thought about going to Hamanami after a long time. But then I realized there was a restaurant I hadn't been to yet. It was Tiaramargarita, a Peruvian cuisine restaurant. If my memory serves me right, it was located near the curry restaurant LOKI that I introduced the other day, next to Hiten. The location used to be Yakitori Ooyoshi, then changed to Yakitori Rakuen. I wonder what it's like now? The interior of the restaurant had a counter and two table seats in the back. When I asked if there was a menu at the counter, they brought me a menu that only had pictures on it. I tried to ask if there was a menu with text, but before I could, they brought out the food, without any warning. I tried to communicate in English, but the owner spoke Japanese in a strange manner. I haven't used Spanish in over 20 years, so I didn't have the confidence to speak it. It was too much trouble, so I just went with it. The dish they brought out was called Arapon Poyo, I think. It seemed like a spicy chicken dish with large pieces of chicken, potatoes, and onions. It had a spicy sauce on the side. The chicken was breast meat, not thigh, and it was spicy and delicious, but the amount of cooked breast meat was tough to eat. The potatoes were large. This was quite challenging. The amount of rice was also substantial, more than a regular large bowl. I was starting to feel full, but then they brought out a potato cream sauce dish. Oh no, more potatoes. This will definitely make me full. The sauce was creamy and had a spicy kick to it. It was delicious, but with the amount of rice from the main dish, I was starting to feel stuffed. How much will this cost? I only have 2000 yen and some change in my wallet. How much is it? It's 1000 yen. Phew, just enough. The cost performance is excellent considering the authentic South American cuisine and the amount of food you get. It's delicious too. I wish I could have chosen from a proper menu, but I'm satisfied with getting full on authentic cuisine. As I left, I saw the menu on the door. They did have a menu after all. The menu looked like this: [link to menu]. I wonder what I ate today. Well, I'm full, so it's all good. Thank you for the meal!

When I went to the new South American cuisine restaurant, Chil Latino, in Minato, the young owner mentioned that there was another Peruvian cuisine restaurant nearby, run by his mother and grandmother. Intrigued, I decided to visit the Peruvian restaurant on another day. The restaurant was located in an old izakaya, with a few counter seats and a couple of tables in the back. We ordered roast chicken, potatoes with yellow sauce, and Lomo Saltado. We also tried a unique black corn juice recommended by the staff. The roast chicken was delicious, the potatoes with cheese sauce had a unique flavor, and the Lomo Saltado was a Peruvian-style beef and potato stir-fry. Overall, the food was enjoyable, and it was a nice experience to explore the flavors of South America.

I am "Noronori", who mainly walks around eating lunch, mainly in Sakai. I was curious every time I passed by a curry restaurant. It's a small shop with only a counter near Minato Station on the coast street at the Dejima-naka intersection. It turned out to be a Peruvian restaurant. I had no idea about South America or Peruvian cuisine, so I did some research and found out that Peru is a country in western South America, known for Machu Picchu and the Nazca Lines. I felt embarrassed for not knowing even that much. I used to work at a café called Nasca, but still didn't know much about it. The owner, who spoke good Japanese, recommended some dishes for me. The chef seemed to have limited Japanese skills. I couldn't decide on just one dish, so I asked for two. They also sell Peruvian ingredients and sweets. While waiting, the owner explained various things to me. I ended up buying a large bread for 1,400 yen. The first dish was Ceviche, a marinated raw fish dish with lemon juice. It was refreshing and delicious, with cilantro as an accent. The second dish was Lomo Saltado, which consisted of deep-fried potatoes, seasoned meat, onions, tomatoes, all stir-fried together. It had a soy sauce-like flavor that even Japanese people would enjoy. I might like it more than Japanese stir-fried meat and vegetables. I'm glad I took the plunge and went there! Thank you for the meal.
