Recently, there has been an increase in restaurants serving Taiwanese and Chinese cuisine with red signs. Each restaurant offers generous portions and a wide variety of menu options. Typically, there are around 20 regular set meal options available. In addition, there are three daily specials and a weekday limited edition mapo rice dish. The mapo rice, priced at 500 yen, is particularly tempting. After some deliberation, I decided to order the B set (Sichuan-style chicken) from the daily specials. There was a bit of a wait, but it seemed like the restaurant was run by just two people, so it was understandable. The main chicken dish was filled with plenty of sliced red peppers, giving it an authentic Sichuan flavor (although I'm not familiar with Sichuan cuisine). The dish was generous with chicken and paired well with rice. It would surely make a great accompaniment to beer. The side of chilled tofu was unique and delicious. The daily special was priced at 780 yen, with the option to upgrade to noodles instead of soup for an additional 200 yen. The portion of noodles was substantial. My dining companion opted for the upgrade, and I think it's a good choice for those looking for a hearty meal. I plan to try the mapo rice next time.

I had lunch near Yame in Fukuoka and randomly walked into a restaurant along Route 3. I ordered the mapo tofu set meal for 1,080 yen and upgraded to egg drop soup for an extra 200 yen, which turned it into pork bone Taiwan ramen. It was around 1 pm on a weekday and the tables were almost full. The set meal options were either 1,080 yen or 1,180 yen. I was surprised when the food arrived in about 10 minutes. I thought the ramen would be small since I upgraded to egg drop soup for 200 yen, but it was a decent size ramen. I ended up feeling quite full after ordering the mapo tofu set meal and pork bone Taiwan ramen. The mapo tofu was more like tofu with sauce, leaving me slightly unsatisfied.

When going to this type of restaurant, the menu is usually extensive, but people tend to choose safe options like ramen with fried rice or mapo tofu. Also, can you really eat this much for lunch? I sincerely pondered over the menu and asked myself what I really wanted to eat today. I ordered the liver and leek stir-fry as a single item. I don't know what kind of liver it is, but it looked wide when cut, so I tried not to think about it like a quiz. The liver is cooked thoroughly, as expected. I've heard of restaurants that serve rare liver and leek stir-fry, but my favorite liver is the creamy kind.

We went for lunch with our family on a holiday, so we called ahead to make a reservation the day before. The location is easy to find along the road! The parking lot may be a bit small... We arrived around 12 o'clock and there were already a few customers. There are 5 table seats and about 3 tables in the tatami room. Not too many, but they are well spaced out for peace of mind. The menu is as shown in the images posted on past reviews, with a variety of reasonably priced individual items! It's hard to decide...!! We ordered a vegetable salad and stir-fried squid with chives! The family ordered fried rice set (with Taiwan ramen noodles) and gyoza set with Tianjin rice each! The salad was surprisingly generous in size! It's topped with plenty of sesame dressing. The stir-fried squid was a bit bland maybe. It also had bean sprouts and carrots. The portion was just right for one person to finish! The staff, a couple with a slight Chinese accent, handled the arriving customers efficiently! We also received a loyalty card, so we look forward to collecting points!

I used it for a slightly late lunch. There were about 3 groups of customers before me. When I ordered the lunch set, it was quite a generous portion. I thought the Taiwanese ramen could be a bit spicier.

It was delicious. The portion size is quite large.
