Today I had lunch in Honmachi. I visited Ajibe Honmachi for the first time. I ordered the Katsudon for 680 yen, and it arrived in about 3 minutes. The half-cooked egg on top of the pork cutlet is nicely done. The crispy cutlet is delicious. The rice with flavorful broth is also tasty. It's great to be able to enjoy this delicious Katsudon for only 680 yen. Thank you for the meal.

This shop is located near Osaka's Honmachi Station, closer to the Yotsubashi Line. I had wanted to visit this shop before. When I went for lunch, there were about 3 people waiting in line in front of the entrance. Of course, the counter seats inside were all full. Looking at the menu in front of the shop, it seems like a place that has been featured on TV. The menu had tempura rice bowl at the top, so I decided to order that. However, I noticed that there were set menus available once I went inside. You order on the spot while waiting in line. Once inside, the order comes out quickly. They seem to prioritize turnover rate. [Tempura Rice Bowl] It was a tempura rice bowl with 2 shrimp. The rice was generously topped with tempura sauce, and overall, it was very satisfying. The taste was very easy to eat, with the sauce slightly sweet, giving it a Kansai-style tempura rice bowl flavor. Personally, it was a good tempura rice bowl. However, the menu board at the entrance could be improved as it was a bit confusing. If you read this, please try ordering the set menu or red miso soup. Other customers seemed to order a lot of pork cutlet rice bowls. Pork cutlet rice bowl seems to be the most popular choice for rice bowl dishes. Next time, I would like to try the pork cutlet rice bowl.

I tried the tendon this time after having katsudon last time. I ordered the tempura bowl (680 yen including tax) and red miso soup (120 yen including tax). The main shrimp tempura may be a bit on the smaller side, but it's crispy and delicious. The tempura sauce is just right, not too much. The red miso soup is also tasty. Overall, for a total of 800 yen, I think it offers good value for money.

I have been curious about this katsudon and tendon specialty shop for a while. I finally tried it and it was amazing. King of Katsudon uses dashi broth without chemical seasonings. The katsu was crispy and juicy, the meat was firm, and the egg was half-cooked and creamy. The red miso and pickles added just the right amount of flavor. It was the best. This katsudon will change your life.

It seems like a specialty restaurant for tempura and katsudon that has been frequently featured in the media. I ordered the Katsudon Large (tax included 1100 yen). In terms of portion size, I didn't feel the 420 yen difference between the normal Katsudon (tax included 680 yen), so it's better not to go for the large size. The regular size Katsudon offers good value for money. The taste is good, with fluffy egg and flavorful broth. Since most customers were ordering the Katsudon, it seems like the more popular menu item, but I would like to try the Tempura Donburi next time. Of course, I will go for the regular size.

The restaurant I was planning to go to was closed for the day, so I ended up going to Aibei for a hearty meal. I ordered the large pork cutlet rice bowl. The taste was delicious, but I felt like there was more rice and less pork cutlet compared to before. Also, with the recent price increases, it's understandable but it's too expensive. The cost performance felt really bad. The pork cutlet rice bowl at Katsu-ya is much cheaper and tastier.

This restaurant mainly serves katsudon, but their gyudon is also quite outstanding. It is topped with raw beef, vegetables, and a raw egg yolk, all of which complement each other well. The only downside is that there is a bit less beef than desired, but for 1,100 yen, it's understandable.

I was invited by a traditional katsudon but ended up choosing the sauce katsudon because of its appealing visual presentation. The deep-fried tonkatsu was generously topped with a thick and sweet sauce, served on a bed of rice with thickly shredded cabbage on top. The pickled Chinese cabbage on the side was seasoned with plenty of shichimi spice, giving it a unique flavor. I will definitely visit again. Thank you very much.

Katsudon set for 850 yen. I often go there because it's close to my workplace, but I realized today that I've never taken a picture before, so I took my first one today. The background music is often James Brown (I like it). They are open until night, so I also stop by for dinner when working late. It's great to have a place where you can just drop by for a meal at night.

Hello there. Today, I tried out a katsu-don place in Osaka with a friend. They have all-day service, which is convenient. The menu is pretty old-fashioned, dating back to 20 years ago. I tried their Indian-style sauce katsu-don, which had a nice thin cutlet. It was quite spicy too, which could be handy when you're in the mood for something crispy. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. This is a donburi restaurant that I occasionally visit for lunch. As you can see in the photo, the egg is soft and the broth is a bit rich with plenty of it. The cutlet is crispy on top, and sometimes I just crave it. The set with miso soup and pickles for 800 yen is a great deal. Thank you for the meal~

Visited this restaurant for the first time for lunch. I decided to go all out and ordered the large size Katsudon for 1,050 yen, as the restaurant had a good reputation. However, the "large" size was a disappointment. The bowl was small compared to the amount of food, giving it a visually exaggerated appearance. It seemed like they were going for an Instagram-worthy presentation. The bowl was filled with so much egg that you couldn't even see the katsu. It was difficult to eat, with the egg spilling out everywhere. The katsu was thin and the meat and breading separated in the egg, so you couldn't really taste the katsu. It felt like there was more egg and rice than katsu, making it more like an egg bowl. I left feeling full, but not satisfied as a katsudon. The egg was tasty, so it might appeal to those who like egg bowls, but in terms of value, it was not worth it as a katsudon. Perhaps if I had ordered the regular size (650 yen) instead of the large, my experience would have been different.

The best katsudon I've ever had. Featured on TV and in magazines, this place is known for its delicious food. The half-cooked egg and seasoning are just perfect. The portion size is generous and the price is only 600 yen. I heard the large size has a huge egg, so I was hesitant to order it, but it was really worth it. The food comes out in just a few minutes, so the taste, speed, and cost performance are all great! There are also many other menu options, so I won't get tired of coming here!

Suddenly craving for a katsudon, this popular restaurant has been featured in various media outlets. A long-standing establishment that many katsudon lovers have surely visited at least once. The exterior tent proudly displays large photos of katsudon and tendon, with a sign that boldly states "Specializing in Katsudon and Tendon." The interior consists of a long counter, and on this particular day, the air conditioning was blasting due to the heat. Purchasing a meal ticket from the ticket machine near the entrance, I opted for the katsudon, specifically the "large" size. When it arrived, the katsudon set was massive in size, with a visually striking presentation. The fluffy, creamy egg was so abundant that it took some effort to uncover the rice and katsu beneath. The egg was delicious with a gentle dashi flavor, and the crispy batter on the katsu was delightful. Later, I found out that there were actually seven eggs used in the dish, making it incredibly satisfying. The miso soup and pickles served on the side were also tasty. It was a truly delicious katsudon experience.

After work, I went to a small donburi specialty restaurant in Honcho. The restaurant had only a counter and an entrance with a ticket vending machine system. I purchased a ticket for the **Sauce Katsu Donburi**. It consisted of rice topped with shredded cabbage, a large cutlet, and plenty of thick sauce. The flavor was quite intense, with a generous amount of sauce. The cutlet was surprisingly thin. I found myself wanting to come back to this place again. I'm curious about trying their Katsu Donburi and Tempura Donburi next time.

June 22, 2022, at Sakaisuji Hommachi, I was strolling around Hommachi at lunchtime, and asked @k.a0221k.a for recommendations in the area. When I visited the recommended place, I found out that it was quite famous as it had been featured on TV. I tried the Katsudon that Arima-san recommended! The Katsudon was priced at ¥650, and I also ordered Akadashi for ¥100 and Ohazuke for ¥50 out of curiosity. I won't reveal what Ohazuke is here, as it's something everyone should find out for themselves when they visit. I sprinkled some shichimi on the Ohazuke, and when eaten with the Katsudon, it made the meal less heavy and easy on the stomach! Despite being quite hearty, it went down smoothly and my chopsticks kept moving! I finished it all in one go. Upon being seated at Katsudon and Akadashi Gyugyu, I was immediately asked if I wanted Katsudon or Tendon. The food arrived quickly, and the egg in the dish was delicious. The katsu was a bit thin, but filling nonetheless. The standout was the flavorful red miso soup, which paired perfectly with the katsudon. It had just the right balance of flavor. Anyway, today I felt like eating katsudon, so I went to a katsudon restaurant in Honmachi. Unfortunately, it was fully booked for the evening. It seems like dining in private rooms is becoming more common in the Kansai region. There was a nearby restaurant that served katsudon and tendon bowls, so I decided to try it out. Surprisingly, I was the only customer there. The katsudon cost 650 yen, which was quite cheap. It arrived within a few minutes and was topped with a generous amount of egg. I was surprised to find a thin slice of pork cutlet hidden beneath the egg. The hot egg bowl with a slightly sweet broth was very satisfying. Considering the price and taste, it was a good deal. Overall, it was a delicious meal.
