This is a pastry shop located just after passing through the Shinkansen ticket gate at Shin-Osaka Station. It is a take-out only store. There is also a shop in the station market inside the conventional train area, but this one is less crowded, so if you are using the Shinkansen, you should use this one! When it comes to Rikuro Ojisan, their freshly baked cheesecake is famous. In the past, a whole cheesecake used to cost 500 yen, but now it's the Reiwa era. It is now 865 yen including tax, and at first, I hesitated a bit. Actually, there was a line at the station market shop, so I gave up for a moment. However, as expected in Osaka, the merchant city, a wagon with freshly baked cheesecakes arrived with the sound of a bell ringing. The cheesecakes, still in a transparent case, showing the color before being boxed up, caught my attention! After managing to get through the Shinkansen ticket gate, I found this shop where there was no line and made a quick decision. It's not heavy, and unlike at 551, you don't have to worry about the smell in the Shinkansen... Plus, you can only buy it in Osaka! Now, in addition to cheesecake, there were various other sweets like roll cakes. Now, when I got home, I immediately tried it. As I thought before, the cheesiness is a bit subtle. And it has a strangely jiggly texture. I recommend warming it up, even in the microwave, as it will become moist and delicious. At that time, it was just before Christmas, so there was a Santa mark in the center of the cake. Rikuro Ojisan's Santa. The portion is generous, and it's easy to customize. It was definitely good for a Christmas cake. The taste is decent, but I think I will use it again as a taste of Osaka. Anyway, when you eat it, make sure to warm it up! It's definitely tastier that way. Thank you for the meal.
