I visited for lunch. It was my mother-in-law's birthday, so I had the hitsumabushi set meal, I think. The sashimi was fresh, and of course, the eel was delicious. It was nice that they always brewed tea for us. The restaurant had a retro and calming atmosphere.

Even though it's in Osaka, they serve Kanto-style eel. When you're tired, eel is the way to go! I've been eating it a lot recently! Eel can be eaten every day, so finding a place in Osaka where you can eat eel quickly is mostly Edo-style. No, please make it Kansai-style! I prefer the crispy grilled eel cooked over charcoal. Here at Unagi Matsuri, the eel is steamed and on the softer side, not fluffy. The sauce is not too sweet or spicy, but rather refreshing. They offer free extra rice, but it's on the softer side. I had 1.5 eels with liver and soup. Personally, I prefer Kansai-style eel. The restaurant was empty during Golden Week, probably due to the price. Well, thank you for the meal!

I had avoided the restaurant in the basement of Shin-Osaka Hotel because it had an uncomfortable atmosphere and the food was not great. This time, I wanted to have dinner near the station, so I chose a place on a whim. It wasn't as bad as I had expected, but I can't say it was delicious either. I had the grilled eel bowl and liver yakitori.

I had lunch at "Unagi and Japanese Cuisine Osaka Takehatei" in the "Ichiroku Gourmet" on the 16th floor of Daimaru. I ordered a Super Dry beer (660 yen), a cold sake (1,100 yen), and the Takehatei bento box (3,400 yen tax included). The bento box included grilled eel, small dishes, sashimi, tempura, simmered dish, tea soba, soup, pickles, and yuzu sherbet for dessert. Everything from the sashimi to the side dishes was delicious and fresh. The tempura was crispy and light, with okra, eggplant, sweet potato, and two shrimp. The eel was tender and the rice was fluffy and flavorful. Despite the free rice refill, I was too full to have more. The dessert was yuzu sherbet.

I visited this restaurant for lunch during a business trip. It seems to be an eel restaurant, but I had something like a bento box for lunch. In addition to what is shown in the photo, there were also plenty of tempura. I had to rush to the next meeting, so I couldn't take more photos. I would like to visit this restaurant again when I have more time.

I decided to have lunch at this restaurant on the 16th floor of Station City in front of Osaka Station. We had been shopping at Umeda Department Store, and since it was lunchtime, we came to this restaurant with two people. We were seated at a table. After looking at the menu, we decided on the Hitsumabushi set meal. It came with sashimi (striped jack, squid), tempura, simmered dish (bamboo shoots, etc.), sesame tofu, and clear soup. The Hitsumabushi was slightly smaller in portion compared to the usual ones. I was tired from shopping, so the beer tasted delicious. The eel was also delicious with a Kanto-style flavor that I like.

I have been to restaurants in Tokyo before, but I never expected to be able to eat at Osaka Station in Osaka. The grilled eel and broiled eel were both soft and easy to eat. I usually prefer Kansai-style eel, but this was really good. Thank you for the meal.

While wandering around Umeda, my wife suddenly said she wanted to eat eel, so we came here. It was before 6 o'clock so it was not crowded. We ordered the steamed eel in a steamer, eel rice bowl with pine mushrooms, and grilled eel roll. Each dish had a whole eel, so we were satisfied. The eel had a crispy grilled skin and a tender texture, very delicious. The rice in the steamed eel dish was fluffy, but the eel rice bowl was even tastier. The eel roll was average.

On a certain Saturday, I had some errands to run in Umeda. For lunch, I decided to treat myself to some eel to recharge my tired body at "Osaka Takebayashi Tei Osaka Station City Store", a famous Edo-style restaurant. I remember being taken to a similar place in Ginza by my boss back in the day. I love both the crispy Kansai-style grilled eel and the tender steamed Edo-style eel. In the end, I ordered the following:
- Special Eel Bowl... 4,510 yen (tax included)
It was a bit of a splurge, but well worth it. When I opened the lid of the large bowl, the beautifully grilled eel looked so delicious! I dug in and it was plump, soft, and absolutely delicious. I devoured it in no time. Ah, what a blissful meal!
- Steamed Eel Set... 3,685 yen (tax included)
My companion ordered this dish and they also found it to be incredibly delicious. I'm glad we both enjoyed our meals!
Overall, it was a delightful lunch at "Osaka Takebayashi Tei Osaka Station City Store". I've been ordering grilled eel as a side dish at izakayas lately, but having proper eel dishes like this felt like a treat. It was a truly satisfying meal. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Ordered an eel bowl with one eel and requested extra rice for free. It arrived in less than 10 minutes. The eel was on the smaller side and the origin was unknown. The default amount of sauce was minimal, but additional sauce was available on the table. The miso soup did not contain liver. There didn't seem to be much emphasis on the pickles. The cost performance was not great and there didn't seem to be much attention to detail. However, I may consider using this restaurant again when I want to eat eel in Umeda.

You can enjoy plump eel sushi in the Edo style. The portion size was satisfying, but personally I would have liked a bit more charcoal-grilled aroma. It was convenient being close to the station.

I had the "Unagi Donburi" at Take, and it was delicious with the eel being fluffy and well cooked.

The eel bowl was indeed worth the high price. It was fluffy and rich in flavor. If you want to truly enjoy a delicious eel bowl, you have to be willing to pay this much. However, the customers were mostly elderly, giving the impression that this is a luxury enjoyed by those who are financially comfortable in their retirement.
