I was drinking in Minami and looking for a second place to go. I found a place while wandering around Shinsaibashi area without any plans. When I asked for recommendations, they said they specialize in game meat and chicken, so I ordered that. The grilled dishes came out before the raw ones, and there were some order mistakes, but the staff were all young and energetic, which was great.

On Sunday night, four friends were walking around Shinsaibashi area looking for dinner. We were drawn to this restaurant by the sign for vegetable-wrapped skewers. The inside of the restaurant had private and semi-private rooms and was bustling. We were seated at a semi-private table that was a bit cramped, but the staff had warned us beforehand so it wasn't a big issue. The assorted skewers were crispy and delicious! We each ordered our favorite vegetable-wrapped skewers, and they were all tasty. My friends even ordered more. The assorted grilled chicken skewers were easy to share as they were not skewered. They were juicy and well-seasoned, and the sauce was delicious. I wish we had ordered the 5-piece set instead of the 3-piece set. We finished our meal with refreshing tea-infused rice porridge with pickled plum, which was just the right amount. The staff were polite and provided good service.

I was looking for teppanyaki but ended up at a place that was supposed to have okonomiyaki, but they didn't have it. The menu mainly focused on chicken dishes like charcoal-grilled chicken, yakitori, and skewers. There was also a good selection of drinks. The portion sizes seemed a bit small for the price, so it might be a bit pricey if you're looking to have a full meal. However, it could be a good option for those who want to enjoy a variety of dishes with their drinks. Personally, I prefer larger portions, so I rated it a bit lower.

Good evening, this is Chai. Finally, the state of emergency has been lifted. I wanted to have some drinks and eat yakitori, so I went to Sumika, a yakitori restaurant in Shinsaibashi where you can also enjoy game meat. This restaurant is located on the 3rd floor of a building, and it's called Sumika. They specialize in charcoal-grilled Satsuma-jidori chicken, but you can also enjoy game meat such as deer dishes. They are open late at night, so it's recommended for night owls. I tried the Ezoshika (Ezo deer) Yukke, which was quite flavorful. If you're not averse to game meat, I recommend trying it. I also ordered deer skewers, deer tongue skewers, and wild boar meat. The game meat sausages were delicious, and they also serve Iberico pork. Now, onto the Satsuma-jidori chicken skewers. The negima (chicken and leek skewers) and nankotsu (soft bone) were all delicious. We finished with a porridge dish. I was already full by then. Including drinks, it cost around 4000 yen per person. The address is 1-3-6 Shinsaibashi-suji, Chuo-ku, Osaka. You can reach them at 06-4963-3142. They are open from 5 pm to 5 am, and they are open every day.

I drank here tonight♪ Actually, my friend wanted to drink a mixed juice, so we stopped by a cafe called "Inaka" near Tsutenkaku, but we were so engrossed in conversation that we forgot to take photos, so I won't review it. We wandered around Janjan Street and decided to walk to Shinsaibashi. We walked for about 30 minutes, and by the time we arrived, we were feeling less tipsy. So we decided to have yakitori here. The dishes mainly feature chicken from Kagoshima and Miyazaki. The food was decently delicious. The tomatoes were juicy and cold, and they were the most delicious. The pork shabu-shabu was also good, but I felt like there wasn't enough vegetables. I realized later that no one had posted about this place yet! I got the receipt, so I completed the new registration! Thank you for the meal♪

I stopped by a restaurant recommended by a catch staff while waiting for my reservation. I was able to relax in a semi-private room. The yakitori was a bit pricey, but delicious. They brought the grilled yakitori to the table to keep warm over charcoal, which created a nice atmosphere.

Met a friend at UNIQLO and decided to explore the neighborhood for a new dining experience. Got caught by a persistent tout named Niisan who claimed to offer the famous Kagoshima chicken. Ended up at a shady-looking restaurant with a variety of fish and chicken dishes on the menu. Tried the Caesar salad with Satsuma chicken and the grilled chicken, but they were both underwhelming. The atmosphere and menu were not appealing, especially for older customers like me. Learned my lesson and won't trust touts again. Overall, it was a disappointing dining experience.

<2013.10.24> I stopped by "Re: An" in Shinsaibashi. I ordered edamame and a draft beer while waiting for other dishes. - The edamame had a nice crunchy texture, but the skins were a bit tough to peel. Personally, I prefer them a bit softer. - The charcoal-grilled Satsuma chicken thigh meat was cut into strips and had a nice smoky flavor from the charcoal. However, I found the saltiness a bit overwhelming. It made my throat feel dry. - Despite being all private rooms, the sound from other tables was quite audible. The seating felt a bit cramped. This concludes my visit. Thank you for the meal.

☆☆☆☆☆☆Second Venue☆☆☆☆☆☆ After having a really fun party, we decided to go to a second venue. It was already 11 pm and the girls had come from a faraway place by train, so we had to consider the last train. The guys decided to pay for a taxi, thinking it would be fine. Two girls joined us and we headed to a place called RE: An. We were led to a cramped private room, which felt a bit suffocating. We ordered drinks, and although the guys were told it was all-you-can-drink, the options were quite limited, especially for cocktails like cassis that the girls wanted. We ended up ordering separately for the girls. I had a Red Eye for my first drink, another Red Eye for the second, and a highball for the third. Despite it being all-you-can-drink, I didn't drink much. As for food, we had some appetizers, fried potatoes, cucumber, and the girls ordered dessert. After paying the bill, we left and that was the end of it.

I met up with a friend who has an irregular job in Shinsaibashi after a long time. The meeting time was 11:30 pm, which is usually when I'm already in bed. Well, since the next day was a holiday, I thought it was okay. Waiting in the cold, I received a message from my friend saying they would be 20 minutes late. I had planned to find a restaurant after my friend arrived, but then I realized that there might not be many places open late at night. I started asking around about the operating hours of nearby places, but most of them said their last order was at 12:30 am. Feeling a bit worried, a bold guy approached me and mentioned a place that was open until 4 am. Relieved, I waited a bit longer until my friend arrived. When they did, we headed straight to the recommended place. The staff seemed a bit intimidating at first, but they were polite and efficient, which put me at ease. The restaurant was spacious and had a variety of grilled dishes and creative seafood options at reasonable prices. The menu also included a good selection of drinks. We ordered a variety of dishes and finished them quickly. The portions were small, so it was easy to eat everything. Some of the dishes seemed like frozen food, such as the kushikatsu and croquettes. Overall, the place is not suitable for large groups, but it's a good choice for small gatherings or late-night dates.

We didn't have a specific restaurant in mind, and the popular places were all full. As we were walking, we were approached by a catcher for Re:an (Rian) restaurant. It's a private room izakaya, so we decided to give it a try. It had a typical chain restaurant private room vibe, a bit cramped though. The appetizer was simmered hijiki seaweed. I opted for juice for the toast, but juice doesn't really go well with Japanese food (laughs). We started with instant menu items: cucumber pickles for 294 yen, Osaka Tsuruhashi chanja for 399 yen, and homemade tofu healthy salad for 819 yen. The sesame tofu dressing was generous and tasty. For my second drink, I had tea. Juice just doesn't go well with Japanese food. The juicy omelette made by a craftsman for 609 yen was just a regular omelette. The smoked shrimp avocado salad for 504 yen had a subtle smoke flavor, but the combination of shrimp and avocado was delicious. The cheese-baked potato with prosciutto and onsen egg for 924 yen seemed pricey due to the prosciutto. Personally, I felt the prosciutto was unnecessary. After this, we decided to move to another restaurant, so this was all we had at this place. Overall, it was just a typical izakaya.

Today, I went to Re: An (Rian). While walking around Shinsaibashi, I was approached by a guy calling people into the restaurant, so I decided to check it out. The exterior of the restaurant had a stylish design with a cool wall. I started with a draft beer from 578 yen and cheers! The appetizer was hijiki, which was a bit on the salty side. I also tried the addictive sesame cucumber and spicy Chanja from Tsuruhashi. The homemade tofu salad was okay, but the dressing wasn't great. The smoked shrimp avocado salad was the most delicious dish. The cheese baked with ham and potato with onsen egg was decent, but lacked that extra touch. The juicy dashimaki made by a craftsman was good, but I felt it was overpriced. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was a bit cramped and the decor was questionable. Overall, the food was average and overpriced, and I didn't feel like ordering more dishes. I found out that the restaurant won a high-ranking award, but upon further investigation, it seemed like a small-scale competition with only a few participating restaurants. In comparison, the larger-scale Izakaya Koshien competition has over 1,500 participating restaurants. Re: An may not have lived up to its reputation, so I'll continue my search for a favorite spot in the area.

On May 30, 2012 at around 5 pm, I received a message from a reviewer from Kagawa who loves to travel. They suggested having a meetup in the evening. Even though it was already evening when the message came, we managed to find a time that worked for everyone. We quickly gathered a group of food lovers and had a meeting at Starbucks. We decided to find a unique restaurant in Osaka for our gathering. After a brief search, we settled on a popular restaurant that ranked first in the Kansai Izakaya Koshien Likability Ranking. We enjoyed taking photos of the delicious food and catching up with each other. It was a fun and lively evening filled with good conversation and laughter.

I used this place as my second stop. I was getting tired of looking for an izakaya in Shinsaibashi, so I was led here by a street tout. They said we could get in right away, but we ended up waiting for about 30 minutes. The tout gave us a small glass as a service. We were seated at a table for four that was right next to another table with a thin curtain separating us. The lady next to us seemed to have had too much to drink and was asleep, so it was quiet (laughs). The drinks and food were just average, but the fact that they had Dassai sake was a saving grace. We also got a 10% discount, so it wasn't bad. It felt like a place saying "come for your second round." Thank you for the meal.

I finally went to this restaurant that I had been curious about for a while. I had the yuzu salt hot pot and one dish, and the taste was delicious and satisfying. The price is a bit high, but the quality of the ingredients justifies it. However, the portion size is a bit too small for a group of men who enjoy eating. It's reasonable for women, but for men, the amount of one dish or hot pot is too little. I ended up spending over 7000 yen per person after eating and drinking a bit. The portion of the hot pot is more like a single serving, so even women might not feel full with just the hot pot. Another thing that bothered me was that even though I went on a weekday around 7 o'clock, there were too many items that were sold out. I ordered oyakodon as the last dish, and after waiting for about 30 minutes, I thought it would be coming soon, but they told me it was sold out. Why couldn't they tell me sooner? It's very disrespectful to keep a customer waiting for their order only to find out it's sold out. Despite the delicious taste, I was very disappointed with the poor service of the restaurant.

I went to this restaurant with a friend because we wanted to have a private room to chat. We chose the place based on the confirmation from the staff outside that they had private rooms. We ordered a few dishes and mainly focused on chatting over beers. The seafood wasn't as amazing as they claimed, the sashimi was a bit tough and lacked flavor. We didn't really pay attention to the taste or the details, as our main focus was on our conversation. The staff was average. But when you don't want to be disturbed, having a private room is definitely a good choice.

Visited the restaurant recommended by a staff member. The atmosphere was calm and we could chat comfortably over a beer. The staff were friendly and attentive, providing us with hot towels and taking our initial drink order. The overall vibe of the staff was great, leaving a positive impression. The beer was fresh and the food was decent. We ordered fried grated yam and mozzarella, grilled local chicken, and some other typical izakaya dishes. The fried yam and mozzarella dish was delicious, like a fried tofu version of grated yam. The grilled chicken was also tasty. The flavors were safe and familiar. The total bill came to around 3000 yen for one person. While it didn't leave a lasting impression, the delicious yam dish makes me want to visit again.
