"I visited the newly opened 'ramen style JUNK STORY Hankyu Sanbangai store' on September 30th and tried their 'Soy Sauce Ramen (890 yen)'. This branch is located in Umeda Food Hall inside Hankyu Sanbangai, taking over the previous Ramen Tamu Osaka Umeda store. The menu includes: Shio Ramen (930 yen), Chicken and Hamaguri Shio Soba (980 yen), Soy Sauce Ramen (890 yen), Rich Chicken White Broth Ramen (limited quantity, 930 yen), Half-boiled Flavored Egg (+130 yen), Thick Menma (+130 yen), Chashu (4 slices, +290 yen), Extra Noodles (+100 yen), Half-portion Noodles (+100 yen). The soy sauce soup, made from chicken and seafood broth, has a low viscosity and a mellow flavor with a hint of soy sauce aroma. The delicate umami of chicken and seafood blends well, creating a well-balanced and rich taste. The medium-thin straight noodles have a good texture and a moderate chewiness. The chashu pork is tender with a delicious seasoning, allowing you to fully enjoy the meat's flavor."

The main store in Tanimachi 9-chome, which I visited about 3 years ago, has now moved to Sanbangai. I decided to try it again after so long.
Taste Review:
The quality of the food at this place is quite satisfying. If you want a quick and delicious ramen, this is a good place to go. The noodles were more plentiful than I expected, and I was satisfied even after finishing them. The toppings were also varied, making the whole meal enjoyable till the end.
Other Comments:
I was lured in by the Chiikawa collaboration, and it was nice that the novelty item was not random but could be chosen. The convenience of being able to enjoy a delicious ramen easily is a big plus.
When I visited, there was a promotion for a free upgrade to a large serving due to a certain event, but I was content with the regular size. My companion kindly took care of ordering and picking up the food while I wasn't feeling well, which I appreciated.
With the current Chiikawa collaboration, the place is even more crowded, making it difficult to find seats, but let's do our best. Thank you as always! Bon appétit!

Shimmering Salt Ramen for 930 yen, Fried Chicken for 160 yen. The soup is light and salty, and the noodles are soft with a slightly powdery texture on the surface. The soup is not too much, making it easy to eat without any waste. It's a good place to eat quickly without having to wait in line at the food court.

Years ago, I ate at a shop in Uehommachi. I wanted to go back but couldn't find the time. However, I found Junkstory in the food court at Sanbangai in Umeda. I couldn't decide between soy sauce, salt, or chicken broth, but ended up choosing salt. The soup was delicious, and before I knew it, I had finished it all.

I used "Ramen STYLE JUNK STORY" in Kita-ku, Osaka for lunch for the first time. It is located in the food court on B2F of Hankyu Sanbangai in Osaka Umeda. It is directly below Hankyu Osaka Umeda Station. I visited around 12:05 on Saturday for lunch. The seats in the food court tend to fill up quickly, but I managed to secure a seat. There are many food court shops, and they are all somewhat crowded, but there are no extremely crowded shops.
I ordered the Rich Chicken White Broth Ramen for 930 yen. After ordering, I waited for about 8 minutes before receiving a buzzer call to pick up my order. The ramen had chicken white broth soup with medium-thin straight noodles. The toppings included thin slices of char siu, green onions, watercress, and seaweed. It feels like a typical example of a popular ramen shop opening in a food court. The taste is good, but it's not quite the same as the original store. It seems to be a shop that focuses on convenience.

JUNK STORY's soy sauce ramen. The well-known shop in Tanimachi, JUNK STORY. After the founder, Mr. Igawa, passed away, the current owner UNCHI, who loves all kinds of noodles, took over and continues to serve delicious ramen. I just tried the Shio (salt) ramen, but my daughter prefers soy sauce. Soy Sauce Ramen - 890 yen. The soup contains chicken and seafood, with a prominent clam broth flavor. Due to being in a food hall, the price is lower, so toppings are limited to 2 slices of chashu, menma, seaweed, etc. The noodles are plentiful and tasty. Having tried the soy sauce ramen, I felt it had the UNCHI-style taste. I think it's great to be able to eat ramen of this quality at this price. If this quality could be available at highway rest stops, I believe Japan's happiness level would increase.

I ordered a limited quantity cold salt ramen for 1,000 yen, but used a coupon to pay 700 yen. It was ready in about 10 minutes and on top was rare chashu, mitsuba, green onions, two thick menma, seaweed, chili pepper, yuzu, and what I thought was winter melon but turned out to be dashi ice noodles with straight thin noodles. The cold soup was well-seasoned with salt, but unfortunately I couldn't finish it all.

Um... Junk Story?? Located in Umeda Hankyu Sanbangai food court. It was still before lunchtime, so it was not crowded, but the neighboring Steak Takel was busy! The menu is Rich Chicken White Broth Ramen! A simple one without any toppings (lol). Despite being advertised as rich, it wasn't that rich! The soup goes well with black pepper. The portion may look small, but it's actually not! I enjoyed it. I wish they had provided paper aprons though...

Visited on Sunday night at 8:00 PM! It's like a food court so there was hardly any line, and we were able to order right away. Order: "Salt Sparkle" with 3 pieces of fried chicken. Located in Yotsubashi, the famous Hyakumeiten was set up in the food hall of Hankyu Sanbangai. I've been to the main store before and ordered the same thing as last time. The salt soup is really delicious and easy to eat! The main store always has long lines, so it's great to be able to eat here! Thank you for the meal!

I had been recommended this restaurant by people for a while. Although it wasn't the main branch, I decided to try it out since it was conveniently located in a food court. The noodles were smooth and had a nice firm texture that I like. They were perfect when eaten with seaweed! The soup was also great, with a harmonious balance of saltiness and umami, creating a creamy texture. The bamboo shoots were thick and delicious! However, it was a bit too rich, and towards the end, it became a bit overwhelming. It's expected for a white broth to be rich, but I usually can't finish white broth dishes, yet I still crave it and find it delicious at first.

I tried the "Shoyu Ramen (890 yen)" from "JUNK STORY" at Hankyu Sanbangai's food court for lunch on a weekday. The soup had a strong umami flavor from the seafood broth that was the highlight of the dish. It is said that the soup is made from a combination of seafood and premium chicken broth. Although it was a simple bowl of ramen, I found it to be very comforting and delicious. I had a blissful moment during lunch. Itadakimasu!

I visited for lunch on a weekday and ordered the restaurant's signature dish, Shio no Kirameki, for 930 yen. The light salt soup and thin noodles matched well and tasted delicious. The soup was easy to drink and seemed perfect for when you have a hangover. However, it wasn't particularly impressive in terms of taste (although it may be unfair to expect that in a food court). With many delicious ramen shops in Umeda, I wouldn't necessarily choose this place again.

I went to the food hall in Hankyu Sanbangai. While the salt-based Kirameki is famous, I wanted something rich, so I had the chicken white broth ramen. The soup was thick and creamy, coating the noodles beautifully. The chashu was rare and very tender, without any dryness, moist and soft. The bamboo shoots were thick and had a satisfying texture.

Location is Umeda. Lunch time. I was thinking of having ramen. I decided to try this tantanmen shop in Chayamachi, but it was crowded. I don't have much time to wait today. Hmm. I decided to go to the Hankyu food court nearby. There are quite a few famous shops here. Well, the taste might be different from the main store since it's a food court, but I don't usually eat at places like this so I'll give it a try. It's "Ramen STYLE JUNK STORY" shop. It seems to be quite famous. I've never been there before, but I often see it on Tabelog. Such a famous shop in a food court. I wonder if the menu is the same? For now, I ordered the "Kirameki Shio" ramen with flavored egg topping and 2 pieces of fried chicken on the side! The total was 1380 yen. The ramen was a salt-based one, quite common. It didn't have any distinctive features. The noodles were chewy and I like that texture. It's decent, but not something I would go out of my way to eat. It seems quite different from the main store. The fried chicken was greasy and the seasoning was mediocre. Well, as a food court option, it's okay, but as a regular ramen shop, it's just average. That's my honest impression. I won't be coming back, but it's convenient to be able to easily try ramen from a famous shop when you're short on time.

In the food court of Hankyu Sanbangai located in Hankyu Umeda Station in Osaka, there is a ramen shop that opened last fall. It is a branch of the famous ramen shop Junk Story in Osaka. However, before this shop opened, there were some twists and turns. The founder passed away in an accident, and someone else took over and opened the shop. It all started with a ramen shop called Parade in Sakyo-ku, Kyoto. The owner of that shop moved to Osaka, quickly became popular, expanded the business, and then passed away. The ramen that person created (not sure if the recipe has changed) is now right in front of me. It feels a bit mysterious. I ordered the "Shimmering Salt" ramen for 930 yen. It has a light salt flavor with a focus on chicken, and you can also taste seafood. Shiso leaves floating in the soup add a nice accent. For a ramen in a food court, it is quite delicious. It would likely be considered tasty even among regular ramen shops. Of course, whether it can compete with super famous specialty shops is a different matter. Still, food courts are great, right? They are convenient. You can enjoy authentic ramen that is available all day long. I think this shop has a clear reason for its existence.

North Third Street FH "Ramen Style Junk Story" After overtime, I decided to quickly have dinner. I had been curious about this main store with a hundred branches. They specialize in salt ramen, which I love! ★ Sparkling Salt (with half-boiled seasoned egg) ¥1,060 including tax. I paid with PayPay at the counter and received a pager. It buzzed after about 3 minutes, and I picked it up. I got some water at the adjacent booth. The clear soup was delicious! It was light yet packed with flavor. This is definitely my favorite type. The half-boiled seasoned egg for ¥130 seems to be a common price these days, but it's really tasty. The chashu was tender and not too fatty, which I think is just right. The slightly thin straight noodles were okay. Before I knew it, I had finished the soup too. Ah, I need to watch my salt intake... If you are interested in the restaurant, please save it from this post (^-^)

This is the third stop on my food tour in Umeda, at the ramen shop "Ramen STYLE JUNK STORY". The shop is located on the 2nd floor underground of the Hankyu Sanbangai North Building, in the food court area. I visited their main store in Tanimachi 9-chome about four years ago. At that time, I tried their seasonal limited menu, the cold ramen. I ordered the "Shio no Kirameki". It couldn't beat the good taste from the past. However, as a meal in the food court, it was good.
Food & Taste: 3.3
The first sip of the "Shio no Kirameki" soup was delicious. As I continued eating, it gave a sensation of being salty although it wasn't too salty. After finishing the noodles, I tried to drink the soup but it was too rich and creamy, so I gave up. The noodles were slightly firm straight noodles. A stable taste. The two slices of chashu were thinly sliced and easy to eat. The menma had one piece that was very soft and another piece that was crunchy with a cartilage-like texture. The ingredients were simpler than I expected, which made me get a bit bored towards the end.
Service: 3.1
The staff provided polite service. They were friendly in this food court setting. They even greeted me when I returned the dishes. They also informed me when I ordered that the egg shown in the menu photo was not included.
Atmosphere: 3.0
As mentioned earlier, the location is in the food court. It was unclear how many customers were there before or after me. The food court was not very crowded at this time on a weekday.
Cost Performance: 2.9
The "Shio no Kirameki" was priced at 930 yen. For a simple ramen like this, I felt it was a bit expensive, even considering the location.
Drink: Not Available
Overall, the taste was strong and it might appeal to younger customers. However, compared to the main store, it didn't meet my expectations.

The saltiness of the ramen in the food court was tasty, but not outstanding. The chashu was thin and tasted like a supermarket brand, which was disappointing. The fried chicken was also just average. I wouldn't go back again.

JUNK Story has opened a branch in Umeda! While the Salt Sparkle caught my eye, I was drawn to the neighboring Clam and Local Chicken Soy Sauce Ramen! The soup was delicious just like at the main store! The toppings and chashu were a bit lacking due to it being in a food court, but the prices were the same as the main store, so it felt a bit expensive. However, the clam broth had a wonderful aroma. I hope they open a main store in Umeda.

On a holiday around 7:30 PM, all the restaurants were full so I went to the food hall in Sanbangai. Since it was dinner time, the food hall was also almost full but I managed to secure a table. I ordered the rich chicken broth ramen for 930 yen and a half-cooked seasoned egg for 130 yen. They gave me a buzzer when I placed my order, and when the food was ready, they notified me with the buzzer. I thought the ramen would be ready quickly since it's ramen, but I waited for almost 15 minutes. The soup was rich and delicious, and it paired well with the noodles. However, I felt like it was too oily. Before finishing the noodles, it became too heavy and I started to feel uncomfortable.

I tried the famous restaurant's eat-in option. I also visited the main store, but confirmed that it's not really to my liking. I prefer a stronger umami flavor. The soy sauce ramen was not bad, but nothing particularly noteworthy. The pork and egg rice bowl didn't have much flavor in the pork, it was mainly egg. It's filling, but not outstanding.
