I ordered the salmon bowl for ¥1,100. The portion seemed smaller than in the photo, but the presentation was nice. It is meant to be eaten with wasabi soy sauce and regular soy sauce, but I think it would be better to have them separate as the wasabi is mixed in the sauce. I'm not sure if it's possible to have them separate. The taste was average.

Before enjoying Namba Grand Kagetsu, I filled my stomach. The food was not only cheap but also delicious. During lunchtime, there are plenty of affordable menu options with miso soup included. The miso soup had a rich flavor. You can also add various toppings at a low price. There are counter seats and table seats available, making it a casual place where you can easily dine alone.

I found a great seafood bowl restaurant with good value for money! Last time, I ordered only sea urchin bowls, but this time I ordered a bowl with negitoro, salmon, and sea urchin! The negitoro was moist, the salmon was also moist, and the sea urchin here has a slightly strong bitterness, but I like it, so it's delicious ☺︎ I recently had a seafood bowl with vinegared rice, and I thought it would be nice if I could change the rice to vinegared rice - although the menu has changed slightly, the restaurant hasn't been renovated, but the menu looks a bit cleaner now ☺︎

I stopped by for lunch near the area. The restaurant isn't very spacious, with only 2 tables and a counter. There are many menu options, but the special menu until 6 pm is quite a deal. The dishes come with a little seaweed under the toppings. It seems they also have a make-your-own menu at night, where you can choose your favorite ingredients for a 4-item platter. They provide wasabi soy sauce and shichimi wasabi soy sauce on the table, but they weren't too spicy. I shook the bottles well before using them, but still didn't get a strong kick. I wonder if ordering extra wasabi incurs an additional charge. There are various toppings available, such as seared items and pickles for ¥30 each. It was delicious. If you go, make sure to take advantage of the great deal until 6 pm!

I visited this place during my trip to Osaka. I decided to come here because I could freely customize my favorite seafood bowl without having to eat flour dishes. I chose the Special Assorted 3 kinds DX. I selected seared salmon, sea urchin, and chopped tuna. I enjoyed it very much by adding wasabi soy sauce.

▽Seared Toro Salmon Bowl 572 yen▽
As the name suggests, this bowl features seared toro salmon pieces on top. The amount of salmon is just right, and the seared flavor adds a nice touch. It has a good salmon taste and overall, it's a decent bowl. It didn't exceed expectations, but the salmon taste was good.
▼Impressions▼
You can enjoy various seafood bowls with different combinations of ingredients at this shop. The variety of bowls is a selling point, and it is part of a chain with 8 branches in Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Aichi, and more. The Namba branch is conveniently located along the way to Dotonbori in the Sennichimae Shopping Street. This time, I opted for a light meal and tried the affordable salmon bowl mentioned above. The taste was as described, with the seared salmon bowl offering a decent flavor. If I have the chance, I would like to try a more authentic seafood bowl next time.

I ordered a salmon, seared salmon, and negitoro bowl, while my companion ordered a salmon trio bowl. The restaurant was a bit small, but the bowls arrived quickly. The taste and portion size seemed a bit high for the price... It was delicious and satisfying, but I couldn't help but think that the neighboring sushi stand with generous portions might be a better choice. Of course, it was delicious though! Just felt like it didn't quite match the price.

I visited "Wakasaya Namba Store" in Chuo-ku, Osaka for dinner for the first time. We originally planned to go to another seafood bowl restaurant, but it was closed on an irregular basis. Since we were craving seafood bowls, we decided to visit this place instead. We arrived on a Sunday evening around 6:15 pm with my wife and second son. The restaurant is narrow with counter seats and small tables. The fixed counter seats were quite cramped. We ordered a total of 4,040 yen, including: - Ikura bowl 1,260 yen + tax - Uni, ikura, salmon bowl 1,320 yen + tax - Ikura, negitoro, salmon bowl 960 yen + tax - Miso soup 60 yen + tax - Wakame soup 80 yen + tax The bowls were served after a wait of about 10 minutes, followed by the soups in 3 minutes. The seafood bowls lacked wasabi, which was a fundamental issue. The soy sauce on the table came in two types: with wasabi and without. Without wasabi, it was difficult to get the desired flavor. The Wakame soup was piping hot, but the miso soup was lukewarm. The staff service had some issues as well. While the variety of menu items is appealing, there were some aspects that could be improved.

The Kinema Junpo's best ten list has been announced. The Japanese film "Shoplifters" and the foreign film "Three Billboards" took the top spots as expected. I was surprised to see "Faces, Places" and "Welcome to New York, Jackson Heights" on the list. There are still many films I have yet to see, so I will make an effort to catch up. Today, I visited "Wakasa-ya Namba-ten" in Osaka. I tried the "Tuna Special Bowl" which was part of a lunch set. It came with miso soup and the option for extra rice for free. I couldn't resist getting the extra rice. The bowl had a variety of tuna toppings like maguro, negitoro, and bintoro. It was a bit too much rice for the amount of toppings, but overall it was delicious. I need to be careful not to overeat next time. It was a satisfying meal. Thank you. I will continue on my journey with diligence and without regrets.

The daily bowl is not worth the price, as the amount of fish is lacking. Popular among foreigners?

A wide variety of seafood menu. A large seafood bowl for 4000 yen. If you can finish it in 15 minutes, it's free challenge. Three men gave up right away, it was just the right amount for us (laughs).
