Yes, it's ramen time! 【Vol.2】 A collaboration event between Seizen Sai 10th Anniversary and Kiri Men at Gokumen Seizen Sai in Osaka. The event featured a collaboration with Kiri Men, offering a "Hyogo Tsukemen" using ingredients from Hyogo prefecture with two types of dipping sauce for 2,500 yen. The kitchen was filled with Kiriya, the owner of Kiri Men, and Shitaka, the manager, along with Seizen Sai's Moriyama, celebrating their 10th anniversary, and the owner, who was in charge of washing dishes, making it a rare and fun situation! The visual presentation of the dish was impressive, with various types of chashu surrounding the noodles in the bowl. The noodles were thick and made from a blend of super Kiri Men flour and wheat from Hyogo prefecture. The dipping sauces, "Kiri Shirodashi" made from 20-hour boiled Yoka pork and "Tajima Chicken Shoyu," were both delicious, with the Kiri Shirodashi being particularly outstanding. The chashu included rare shoulder loin, braised pork belly, hanging-grilled pork belly, and chicken thigh, all of which were large and satisfying. Despite feeling full, the meal was so delicious that it made me crave beer. I enjoyed every bite and finished the meal with satisfaction. Congratulations again to Seizen Sai on their 10th anniversary!

At the famous restaurant Aonisai in Suita City. Today, there was an unusual wait of one person outside. Waited for about 5 minutes and entered. I ordered the Tamari Shoyu Black Nisai for 1,150 yen and the Adult Chashu Don for 350 yen. I also ordered some sliced pork shoulder chashu for takeout, which cost 2,150 yen. It's for enjoying with sake on the weekend. After a while, the dishes arrived. Today's Black Nisai had a reduced amount of my favorite thick menma, but instead had about 7-8 stalks of what seemed like pickled mustard greens. The noodles were the usual medium-thin straight noodles. The soup had a nice balance of tamari shoyu with a hint of black pepper, making it delicious! The Adult Chashu Don was also tasty with its ginger soy sauce topping. It was another fantastic lunch today. Now I'm looking forward to enjoying the sliced pork shoulder chashu I brought home for the weekend!

I often pass by the restaurant "Gokumen Aojisai" where there is always a long line, but today I decided to wait in line. It has been a while since I visited this place a few times when it first opened. I didn't check the business hours, but it seems like there is now a curry restaurant next door as well.
- Arrival time: 1:15 PM
- Number of people waiting outside: 9
- Waiting time: 30 minutes
Today the line is a bit shorter than usual. Even after I left the restaurant, there were still about 5 people waiting behind me (laughs).
I ordered the chicken soy sauce ramen and fried rice.
- Ramen served in 5 minutes, fried rice served 3 minutes later.
The taste is delicious, with a unique blend of old-style and modern-style chicken broth. The noodles are also very tasty, and I especially like the sweet and large bamboo shoots. The chashu is also delicious! The fried rice is piping hot and incredibly tasty, with a perfect balance of fluffy and slightly moist texture. It's difficult for individual restaurants to consistently provide delicious fried rice, unlike chain restaurants that can offer frozen pre-made dishes. Overall, I am very satisfied with waiting in line after a long time. Thank you for the meal.

I visited for the second time in a short period. I told a friend about the delicious light soy sauce ramen I had last time, and they wanted to go, so we visited together (lol). This time, I ordered the light salt ramen. The flavor of garlic is quite strong and delicious, but it's a bit overpowering, making the salt flavor slightly less noticeable. I prefer the light soy sauce ramen.

Arrived at 1 o'clock, there were about 8 people waiting in line. A notice was given to us and we were instructed to pass it on to the person behind us if someone came after us. After about 40 minutes, we were finally seated inside the restaurant. This time, I ordered the Kurojisi and Yakimeshi, which were recommended by Myrebi. The Kurojisi had a pitch-black soup with black pepper sprinkled on top, and it was delicious. The soup was not as thick as it looked, but it had a perfect balance of saltiness and the umami flavor of the broth was outstanding. The black pepper added a nice kick to it. The noodles were straight and flat, with a firm texture and a strong wheat flavor. The chashu was made from rare shoulder loin, juicy and tender with a good seasoning. The thick-cut bamboo shoots had a crunchy texture and a well-infused flavor. The Yakimeshi had a mellow taste of lard and a fragrant burnt soy sauce, giving it a nostalgic feel. Personally, this is my favorite place for Yakimeshi. The turnover rate is slow, so it takes a while to get a seat, but the food is so delicious that it's worth the wait. If this place was nearby, I would have definitely been a regular customer.

Lunch after 2 PM. No line. Had the Niboshi Chicken Shio ramen for 1050 yen. Delicious. Had to finish the soup. Also had the Chashu Don for 400 yen. It was good, but I think I prefer the fried rice I had last time. However, for 1500 yen, you can get a decent tonkatsu here. They also have yakiniku set meals. The ramen here used to be cheap and good, but it seems like the menu has changed. (Maybe it's my fault for ordering rice dishes...)

【Location】12 minutes walk from JR Suita Station
【Order】Chicken soy sauce ramen ¥1050
【Impressions】
- The soup is incredibly easy to drink
- Delicious to the last drop
- The dried sardines are a perfect match
- The noodles have a unique texture that goes well with the soup
- The taste matches the price, no complaints
- Around 2-3 people waiting on Saturdays around 2 pm, about a 5-minute wait to enter
- Generally crowded, so this time is a good choice

Today there were 4 people waiting outside, which was good. I was planning to give up if there were more than 10 people waiting because it would affect my evening drink. I waited for about 20 minutes and finally got inside. I had decided to only have ramen today, so I ordered the Kurojissai for 1,000 yen, which comes with plenty of bamboo shoots. I wanted to try the Asakura Sansho as well, but my stomach wasn't feeling well so I had to pass on it. After a while, the ramen arrived. The soup was pitch black with green onions, seaweed, pork shoulder chashu, and a lot of bamboo shoots - 6 pieces today, with 2 extra as a service. The slightly flat straight noodles were cooked perfectly and went well with the black soy sauce soup seasoned with black pepper. The bamboo shoots were soft and incredibly delicious! It was a very well-balanced off-menu item. I finished it quickly and bought a frozen Niboshoyu for 800 yen before leaving the restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

A friend mentioned wanting to eat ramen, so we decided to visit this place that I had bookmarked before. We arrived around 11:30 on a Saturday and there were 3 people ahead of us in line. It took a bit longer than expected, but we were seated in about 20 minutes. I was unsure which ramen was popular, so I decided to go with the classic shoyu ramen and yakimeshi. The chicken oil-based soup had a rich flavor that spread in my mouth and was delicious. The charred green onions floating in the soup added a nice touch. I felt like the green onions were fried together with garlic. The noodles were a new type for me, so it was a fresh experience. Personally, I think curly noodles would also go well with this soup. The yakimeshi had just the right amount of moisture removed, making it my favorite kind of yakimeshi! I'm torn between trying the rich ramen next or sticking with the light option for my next visit...

It's definitely delicious. I waited in line with about 6 people on a weekday for lunch. I chose the limited edition niboshi soy sauce ramen, but many people were ordering the niboshi chicken soy sauce ramen, so maybe that's the better choice? The noodles were delicious, so I think whatever you order is the right choice. I also ordered the fried rice with egg like the person in front of me, and it was a good decision. The fried rice was fluffy and worth ordering. I think this is a high-quality restaurant. I thought the fried rice was a bit expensive, but considering the portion size, time it takes to eat, and average customer spending, it's understandable that it's priced that way.

I had plans to go to the hospital in the morning, but afterwards I had no plans, so I wasn't sure what to do. Then I thought, why not visit this restaurant I've always wanted to go to? After finishing my hospital appointment at 9 am, I arrived at the restaurant just before 11 am, but it was full so I had to wait outside in the scorching sun. Even though the restaurant had a limited number of seats, it was impressive to see it fully booked. Whenever I passed by before, it was either crowded or closed. I stood in front of the restaurant looking at the menu while waiting. The menu was diverse, so I was unsure of what to order. Since I can't come here often, I didn't want to make the wrong choice. In the end, I ordered the limited chicken ramen and fried rice. The fried rice was pretty ordinary, but there seemed to be other varieties that were more famous. The ramen had beautifully arranged noodles with vibrant rare chashu. The slightly rich chicken broth soup with a distinct seafood flavor stood out. It was delicious, as expected from a famous restaurant. I think whatever you order here will be tasty. Despite the crowded restaurant, the staff efficiently took orders one by one while chatting with regular customers. This atmosphere probably contributes to the consistent quality of the food. If I have the chance, I would like to visit when it's less busy and try their regular soy sauce ramen next time. Thank you for the meal.

Today was my first visit since late June to "Seijisai" in Suita. It's Wednesday, August 9, 2023. I checked out the limited-time offerings that caught my interest. I arrived at "Seijisai" in Suita. Looking forward to it.
12:03 Arrived. Was 8th in line outside.
12:27 Entered. Seated. Placed order.
12:38 Ramen and rice bowl arrived.
12:47 Paid the bill. Left the restaurant.
Basil Seijisai - 1000 yen
Charred roast pork with a fragrant aroma - 200 yen
Adult-sized roast pork bowl - 350 yen
Total: 1550 yen
I had been curious about the Basil Seijisai. Today, I saw on social media that it was being offered, so I decided to visit. The harmonious blend of Western and Japanese flavors in the basil-infused ramen was incredibly delicious. The medium-thin noodles were also consistently tasty. The charred roast pork had a nice sear and was delicious. The ginger-flavored pork bowl was also excellent. Thank you for the meal. #Seijisai #Suita

I finally visited this restaurant that I've been wanting to go to for a long time. I arrived on a Sunday afternoon around 2 PM and there was already a line outside under the scorching sun. It's definitely a popular place! After waiting for a while, I finally got inside. Since it was my first time, I was planning on ordering the light soy sauce ramen, but then I saw the limited edition menu and decided to go for the Niboshi Chicken Shoyu Ramen with extra Kujyo Negi topping! The bowl came with toppings such as negi, thick menma, nori, and a large piece of rare chashu. The double soup made with dried sardines and chicken broth had a perfect balance of the rich flavor of sardines spreading in my mouth followed by the mellow taste of chicken. It was delicious! The homemade medium-thin straight noodles were slightly soft with a smooth texture, and they paired well with the Kujyo Negi topping. I'm curious about the other ramen options, but I saw another customer enjoying the limited edition fluffy fried rice and it looked really good. Overall, it was a tasty meal! Thank you for the delicious food!

The Osaka 100 famous shops tour is quite far from Sagawa Station, and it was a bit of a distance to get there, arriving at 2:30 pm. We were able to visit without waiting and smoothly entered the shop! This time, we ordered soy sauce ramen and Kujo green onions. The neatly arranged noodles were thin, flat noodles! The firm texture of the noodles was very delicious! The rare chashu, which was a little thick and tender, was a treat! Thank you for the meal!

I walked about 10 minutes from Aikawa Station and sweated about 2 liters. There were 5-6 people waiting, so I was able to sit in the shade on a chair with enough space for two people. The rest of the area was scorching hot. I made sure to wear a hat, use a parasol, and drink plenty of water. This time, I chose the limited edition Niboshi Ramen. I usually don't go for salty flavors, but after sweating so much, I felt like I needed to replenish. When the ramen arrived, it looked beautiful. The soup had a delicious taste of dried sardines without being too overpowering. The perfect amount of saltiness made it irresistible. The noodles were slightly thin and straight, making them easy to slurp up. The chashu was so tender that it almost fell apart when picked up with chopsticks. The other chashu was firmer and had a different taste, creating a nice contrast. The toppings were pretty standard, except for the shredded omelet with pickled mustard greens. It was nothing special, but the meal was so delicious! It was worth the effort in the heat. I'll definitely come back when it cools down!

Today, I drove for work for the first time in a while. Lately, I've been mainly using the train for transportation, so it's been difficult to visit my favorite shops. I was craving delicious, tender bamboo shoots, so I ordered the off-menu item "Kurojiso" and the "Adult Char Siu Don" bowl. The owner, who is from the same hometown as me, mentioned that they want to use the Yoka Pork from Yabu City, which is apparently fantastic. Yoka Pork is a brand pork from northern Hyogo, and the only downside is that it's a bit pricey. I've had it before, and I think the marbled fat is delicious and makes for great meat. Once you get used to eating it, the deliciousness doubles. The Kurojiso was reliably delicious, and I was very satisfied. However, the "Adult Char Siu Don" today had a disappointing lack of diced rare char siu and bonito flakes. I'll be sure to ask the part-time staff to add more next time!

【Gokumen Aonisai x Kirimen】@Osaka Hyogo Tsukemen Regular ¥2,500-Point:★★★★☆ Tabelog 3.73×3.75・2023.07.17・I recently visited the renowned shops in Osaka with @ra_log1722 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the highly acclaimed #Gokumen Aonisai @gokumen_aonisai collaborating with the popular shop #Kirimen @kiri_men_.・The highlight of the menu was the limited edition #Hyogo Tsukemen! A rich and powerful dipping sauce made by combining the #Kirishoyu with Hyogo #Yagoshitan, and a double dipping sauce with a fragrant and elegant umami made from the soup of #Tajima chicken and sharp soy sauce. The thick noodles made from Kirimen flour and Hyogo-grown wheat have a wonderful texture, and the four types of chashu are also enjoyable.・I'm glad I was able to participate in this luxurious collaboration before Kirimen moved. It had been quite a while since I last visited this popular restaurant in Suita. I was happy to arrive at 11 am on a weekday and find only one person ahead of me in line. I ordered the "Niboshoyu Ramen" for 900 yen with the topping of "Iso-scented black rose seaweed" for an additional 100 yen. It was a bit embarrassing to say the long name of the dish out loud when ordering. The ramen came with a large piece of thinly sliced rare chashu, flavorful bamboo shoots, chopped green onions, and a visually striking black rose seaweed topping. The noodles were neatly arranged and folded in a beautiful presentation. The soup was a clear and flavorful soy sauce broth with a rich umami flavor from the four types of dried fish used in the broth. The kitchen staff seemed friendly and the cooking process looked meticulous. I could see why this place has many loyal customers. As I overheard the next customer ordering "Basil Nisai," I was surprised as I didn't see that on the menu. They mentioned a dish called "Ensanjo," which I couldn't find either. It seems like these items are listed on Twitter. For a first-time visitor, this restaurant might seem a bit intimidating due to its high standards.

The order for tori-ni-bo soy sauce and yaki-meshi took too long to decide, delaying the departure, and finally arriving after 11:30 am... The line is crazy long~ haha. Let's take this as a lesson for next time... After waiting for about 40 minutes, we finally entered the shop... It's so tough to wait in the scorching sun... We ordered tori-ni-bo soy sauce and yaki-meshi at a ramen shop where it's not easy to come across yaki-meshi, so we had to try it, right? The interior of the shop is full of pigs, as the name suggests. Among them, there is a booth that stands out with Booska... and as we were curious about Booska, the food was served. The white broth looked delicious from the appearance... The soup has a mellow taste with the umami of boiled fish and the sweetness of chicken... Seriously, it's insanely delicious. The noodles are thin and have a crispy texture, which is fantastic. The chashu is a large rare chashu, and when you take a bite, the rough and tender texture of the meat matches perfectly. Oh... this is delicious... And the yaki-meshi with burnt soy sauce stimulates the appetite with its fragrant aroma, and the richness probably derived from the lard lingers, making you want to keep eating... So delicious, I want to come back.

Today, the special menu includes ramen made with Asakura sansho from Yabu City, Hyogo Prefecture, which is famous locally. It's my second time having it in a row, but it's a seasonal item so I had to order it. And of course, I can't miss the must-have adult-sized chashu rice bowl. When it arrives, the color is green, making other customers wonder what kind of ramen it is. The green, flavorful sansho soup has a spicy kick to it. It's so addictive. The adult chashu rice bowl includes thinly sliced rare shoulder chashu with plenty of ginger flavor and bonito flakes. The combination of sansho and ginger is perfect! Another delicious meal today.

Since 1/19, it's my visit to "Kyokumen Seijisai" on Thursday, 6/22/2023. It's been a while since I visited, and they had a lot of limited menu options, making it hard for me to decide what to order. I finally made my choices and was looking forward to it. I arrived at 11:47 and was fourth in line outside. I got seated at 12:02 and placed my order. The ramen arrived at 12:16, followed by the fried rice at 12:19. I paid and left at 12:29. I ordered the Ensanjo-style ramen for 1000 yen and the Whatchi (fried rice with double egg and cheese) for 600 yen, totaling 1600 yen. Today, I felt like having flat, chewy noodles, so I went for the Ensanjo-style ramen. The soup was rich in umami, and the toppings of back fat, pork belly, green onions, and chopped onions created a delicious harmony. The thick slices of rare chashu were also very tasty. The Whatchi was a delightful fried rice with a double egg and cheese, although a bit pricey, it was incredibly delicious. Overall, it was another satisfying meal. There are still many more items on the menu that I want to try. Thank you for the meal! #Seijisai #KyokumenSeijisai #Suita
