Visited during a homecoming trip. This time, instead of going to the airport, I bought some cakes while in Kitakyushu.■ American cherry and pistachio tart 700 yen■ American cherry shortcake 700 yen■ Melon shortcake 700 yen■ Banana milk crepe 500 yen■ Lemon cake 350 yen x 5■ Raspberry cream cheese muffin 350 yen x 2■ Chocolate chip almond coffee muffin 350 yen x 2One big change this time was that the lemon cakes were vacuum-packed. I wonder if they will last a bit longer this way... There's no expiration date listed on them though... Maybe they'll be good for about a week? Until now, if I couldn't eat them by the next day, I would freeze them at my own risk, but with these, I could give them as gifts too. But for the next homecoming trip, the season for domestic lemons will be over, so I guess there won't be any lemon cakes until autumn...Muffins... When I opened the paraffin paper, I thought they looked smaller. Before, the top part was cute and fluffy with a lot of volume, but now... I guess they got smaller because the price hasn't gone up since before... The fluffy feeling from before is gone. The taste hasn't changed though, and it was delicious. The cherry and pistachio tart, the pistachio cream isn't as rich as Ryoko's, but it's a nice taste to have in Kitakyushu. The melon also didn't have the usual green smell, and used juicy and sweet ingredients. I can trust the quality of the ingredients, as I've known before. They have irregular business hours, so it's actually quite difficult to visit, but I will definitely go again next time.

◉Genre: Cake ◉Area: Tsuda area, Kokuraminami-ku, Kitakyushu City ◉Access: 6 minutes by car from JR Shimosone Station ◉Parking: Available ◉Credit card payment: Not available ◉Number of visits: First visit ◉Number of reviews: 1 On this day, I visited "aconico" on a whim. ◇Exterior and Interior This cake shop is located in Tsudashinmachi, Kokuraminami-ku, Kitakyushu City. The cute blue tent-like storefront is impressive, but the shop usually opens at 1:00 PM, and there are few days when it is open, making it a rare find in the city. Due to this, they often sell out quickly, and many people may have experienced visiting only to find it closed. The interior of the shop is simple without unnecessary decorations, and due to its small size, only two groups are allowed in at a time. ◇No seating available. ◇Menu The menu is also carefully selected. I ordered the following: - Chocolate Cake (550 yen) → Tax included. I had heard good things about this shop before but never had the chance to visit. There were times when I hesitated to go due to hearing that they were sold out again. Finally, I had the opportunity to visit. I bought several cakes. The chocolate cake was the most delicious in my opinion... but since I don't usually eat chocolate, my opinion may not be reliable. The sponge cake also had chocolate in it, and the amount of chocolate used was just right to enjoy without feeling too sweet. The chocolate itself was not overly sweet, and had a refined sweetness that didn't make me want to stop halfway. I imagined that they must be making it with care. ◆Strengths This cake shop is highly popular in Kokuraminami-ku! ◆Customer Service Average. ◆Overall The cheesecake was also delicious. I think they have various details that they pay attention to, but the lack of pushiness is something I appreciate. Thank you for the meal!

The parking lot is in front of the shop. Although Tabelog says they open at 13:00, they actually open at 14:00. I arrived 10 minutes before opening and there was already a line. This time, I bought a lemon cake, pesticide-free strawberry tart, and Earl Grey white chocolate muffin. The strawberry tart uses pesticide-free strawberries from Space Farm. Last year, I bought space strawberries at their direct sales store and they were delicious, so I was lucky to encounter them again. The tart has a strong sweet strawberry aroma, which is characteristic. The balance of flavors in the tart is delicious. The lemon cake has a strong sourness on the top, with a distinct lemon flavor. It's incredibly delicious and just to my liking. I want to buy a lot of this. The muffin is also quite good. By the way, you need to reserve a whole cake one month in advance. I didn't know there was such a delicious cake shop in Minami Ward.笑

Lemon cake 300 yen, Gateau Chocolat 300 yen, Honey Viennese 300 yen. I arrived at 4 pm thinking they would be closed due to being sold out, but they were open. However, there was a sign saying "Cakes are sold out. We have baked goods available." I was totally fine with that! I entered the shop shouting "Yay!" in my mind. I bought one of each of the 3 types of baked goods that were left unsold. I said my goodbyes and left the shop. The lemon cake had a strong lemon flavor and was quite impressive, but the others were just average. In any case, I completed my mission with a smile!

When I was young, and even after reaching middle age, I thought I had adapted to most new tools, but now it seems that I have finally started to become senile, as I can't seem to master Instagram at all. I tried to figure it out after seeing many people discovering new restaurants on Instagram, but I still can't do it (seriously, can someone teach me...). I will continue to diligently search for new restaurants using my feet and job information. However, this time I found a rare restaurant through Instagram. It seems to have opened in 2019, and thankfully it managed to stay hidden from the food review community until now (starting my zero review series). I purchased only one "Baked Cheese Tart" that I wanted to try. According to Instagram, it uses mascarpone and Edam cheese, but I wouldn't notice such subtle flavors even if I tried. So, to describe the taste in words, the tart part has a crispy biscuit crust with a nice baked texture. The cheese part has a "slightly strong acidity and moderate sweetness," a taste for adults. It pairs well with sweet milk tea or a high-quality, acidic specialty coffee. I enjoyed it with the latter and had a blissful time. They are open only three days a week (currently on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays), so you need to go early to avoid it selling out. The fact that they open at 1 pm is convenient, as you can have lunch and then head over in time.
