I arrived 15 minutes before the opening on Saturday and was the 8th in line! There was a reservation book in front of the shop, where you could write your name and the number of people, and it seems good to return to the shop front at opening time. What I ate: - Special Premium Pork Cutlet ¥2,000 - Rice (medium) ¥200 *Note that rice for set meals is charged separately. After ordering, they first served salad in about 5 minutes. It consisted of shredded cabbage, tomato, and potato salad with a homemade dressing made with 100% heavenly sugar. The dressing was slightly thick with a good acidity that made the cabbage appetizing. This dressing seems to be very popular. Then, after about 5 minutes, they provided seasoned pyramid salt, original mustard, and sauce for dipping. After 2-3 minutes, they served rice, miso soup, and the tonkatsu. The miso soup was simple with seaweed and green onions, and the rice, although medium, seemed like a strong serving of about 1.5 cups. The main tonkatsu had a crispy coating with a beautiful fox-like color. When I tasted it plain, it was delicious with a crispy coating and a sweet, rich, juicy meat. It was light and elegant to eat. Next, I tried it with mustard. Isn't this mustard different from others you've tasted? This mustard is delicious!! It is made in collaboration with a mustard company that has been around for over 100 years, using crystalline black sugar, rock salt, and plant magma as a thickening agent. It does not contain fats, preservatives, artificial colors, or synthetic dyes, and also uses apple juice for a gentle taste! Even children would enjoy it. This mustard is also available for purchase at the store! The tonkatsu was also delicious with the sauce, but the deliciousness of the mustard was shocking (lol). It was a satisfying lunch. One other menu item that caught my eye was the "Fried Dashi Tonkatsu." This is also not seen much in other shops! The only other place I've seen it is in "Noguchi" tea-cured tonkatsu. Quite a few people were ordering it. Overall, it was a satisfying lunch. Characteristics of the restaurant: The interior has a retro atmosphere with wooden tables that exude warmth. Relaxing background music plays, creating a laid-back atmosphere. There are 2 tables for 2 people and 2 tables for 4 people, which can be pushed together depending on the number of people. The staff are mainly women and provide polite service. There is no parking lot, so those coming by car will have to use a nearby parking lot located about 150m away. Recommended for: - Those who love tonkatsu - Lunch with friends - Family dining Overall, a great experience.

This is a popular tonkatsu restaurant. - Special premium pork cutlet ¥2,000 - Rice small size (forgot the price...) - Daily potage soup ¥600 Tonkatsu does not come with rice, so I ordered it as an extra. I arrived around 17:50 on Saturday and was the first group. First, a salad is served. The dressing on the shredded cabbage is sweet and delicious. I wonder what flavor it is... The potato salad has a slightly chunky texture with a moist feel to it. The parsley isn't particularly tasty, but I always eat it for the nutrients. My favorite is definitely the potage soup. It's rare to find a place where you can have potage soup, so I'm really happy. In the summer, it changes to cold potage soup. It's still cold as of the end of September. Today's potage soup is a crispy crouton and olive oil on top of cold potato potage soup. In the winter, there are often warm potage soups with pumpkin or potatoes. There was even a carrot potage soup once, and it was delicious, so I want to try it again... The daily potage soup is displayed on a nicely handwritten menu in the middle of the restaurant. It's often sold out if you go around 19:00, so I feel more at ease going around 17:00. By the way, the special premium pork cutlet was also sold out when I ordered. The fillet is tender and delicious, but I always end up ordering the pork loin because I want to savor the sweetness of the fat. The interior of the restaurant has a slightly narrow space with 2-seat tables and three 4-seat tables. I'm often seated at a 2-seat table, but since I was the first group, I was seated at the back 4-seat table! The 4-seat table is spacious! It's common for two people to share the 4-seat table in the middle.

After a meeting in Tsurumi, I remembered that there was a tonkatsu restaurant nearby called "Tonkatsu Masuino". I decided to visit and ordered the healthy tonkatsu set for lunch. The healthy tonkatsu uses fine bread crumbs to reduce oil absorption. It came with a light ponzu sauce. I asked for a medium size rice, which turned out to be quite large. The salad dressing was generous, so I recommend asking for less dressing if you want to keep it healthy. I couldn't finish the rice at my age, so next time I will order a small size. Thank you for the meal.

30 minutes after opening, there was a wait for 5 groups! This place seems to be recommended for tonkatsu! However, I ordered the cream croquette with scallops, the tenderloin set meal, and homemade soup (potato potage) that I wanted to eat! The salad arrived first!! What a huge amount!! Cabbage overflowing in this era where vegetables are expensive!! The dressing is excellent!! Also, the salad here is delicious!! The potato salad is also the best!! As expected, a restaurant that puts effort into the salad has delicious menu items!! And when I finished eating, the set meal arrived! The cream croquette with scallops had a mild tomato sauce without acidity poured over it, which paired perfectly with the cream croquette!! Inside, there were plenty of scallops, giving it a satisfying texture!! A gentle cream croquette! Definitely a must-order dish!! The tenderloin was not heavy and was easy to eat! I want to come here every day!!! Actually, I will go on a business trip every month just to eat here.

I visited around 5:30 pm on a regular day. Since it was a bit early for dinner, I was able to enter without waiting. They didn't have the premium sirloin, so I decided to have the premium loin and cream croquette. One of the unique features of Masuiya is that unlike other places where the tonkatsu is crispy, theirs is more crunchy (you can hear the sound when you bite into it). Despite being crunchy, the meat remains juicy and very delicious. Rice is an additional charge (price varies depending on the amount), and you can opt out of the salad (which gives you a 200 yen discount). They also have unique tonkatsu options, so I would like to try those next time. Thank you for the meal.

I went there for the first time! I made a reservation over the phone in advance, but they said they don't accept seat reservations and asked me to write my name on the waiting list. The tonkatsu, soup, tebasaki, salad, and menchikatsu were all delicious. The steak was very fatty, which gave me a bit of indigestion afterwards!

Tonkatsu Hyakumeiten is located in the outskirts of Osaka. It is not close to a train station, but rather in a residential area, making it difficult for customers coming from afar. They do not have a reservation system, so it's a gamble to visit and see if there are any available seats. When I visited around 6 pm, there were already 4-5 groups waiting in line. I asked how long the wait would be, and they said 20-30 minutes, but it ended up being about an hour wait. The menu offers dishes like tonkatsu and steak, all made with pork. I ordered their famous dashi-age tonkatsu. The cooking process was very quick, with the dish served within 5-10 minutes of being seated. The taste was average. The dashi flavor overpowered the tonkatsu, which had a thick coating. It felt like the tonkatsu's flavor was lost. Perhaps they could make the coating thinner or not soak the tonkatsu completely in dashi. In conclusion, it felt like a typical diner meal, similar to Katsuya or Matsunoya. For those living in the neighborhood, it may be considered delicious tonkatsu. It's a kind of happiness and envy for them.

Since I got sick, I haven't eaten tonkatsu even once... Tonkatsu is my favorite food in the world. I used to eat katsudon at chain restaurants up to three times a week. But since getting sick, I haven't eaten it at all. However, I saw a tonkatsu restaurant called "Tonkatsu Masuiya" that offers a delicious and healthy tonkatsu menu, so I decided to visit. I arrived 15-20 minutes before opening on a weekday and was the first in line! I ordered the signature menu item, "Deep-fried Dashi Tonkatsu with Salad" for ¥1600. It looked delicious with plenty of dashi sauce, tonkatsu, green onions, seaweed, and mayonnaise. Some may consider this type of tonkatsu unconventional, but I think it's just another variation of tonkatsu. I appreciate their unique approach. As for the taste... The thick tonkatsu with green onions, seaweed, mayonnaise, and lots of dashi was delicious! It's very healthy and easy for me to eat, even with my health condition. The dashi is made from kombu and bonito flakes, showing their attention to quality ingredients. It's best to finish it off as ochazuke, but I couldn't eat that much this time. The breading on the tonkatsu sticks perfectly to the meat. They use tenderloin meat, which is lean and light. The salad portion was quite generous. As I was leaving, a female staff member mentioned, "You can opt out of the salad next time." Maybe I'll skip the salad next time. I've found a new favorite tonkatsu restaurant. Next time, I might try the healthy option or the tenderloin cutlet. When I'm feeling better, I'll definitely try the premium loin cutlet!

This is a restaurant in Imazufukurumi, a famous tonkatsu restaurant with a waiting list of over 10 groups before opening. I ordered the special loin cutlet with a topping of one shrimp fry and upgraded the salad to a large size for an additional 100 yen. The dressing on the salad was delicious, and the cutlet was thick, yet tender and flavorful. The shrimp fry was also delicious with a good amount of meat inside. I will come back next time to try the special premium loin cutlet. Thank you for the meal.

I've been to the nearby driving range a few times and always debated whether to eat there, but ended up eating somewhere else each time. This time, I decided to try it out because I saw it in a magazine. I had seen pictures on Instagram before, but for some reason, the food looked less filling in the photos, so I ordered the Semi-Double size Hire 200. Well, first of all, I was surprised by the amount of cabbage they served. And the tonkatsu was huge! Lately, maybe because of my age or because my stomach has gotten smaller, I haven't been able to eat as much... I was really stuffed. The dressing on the cabbage that comes out first might be the reason. The cabbage had no flavor, so it might have been better for my stomach if they had just left it there to reset the fat between bites of tonkatsu. My partner loved the cabbage dressing and said it was delicious, so I guess everyone's taste buds, or the position of cabbage, is different. The tonkatsu was tender and not deep-fried, so it was easy to eat and delicious! Next time, I'll order the normal size and ask for no dressing!

The premium pork cutlet set meal for 2000 yen was a juicy cutlet with a rich sweetness from the fat. Personally, I felt the sweetness more when eating it with salt. The salad was also delicious with a tasty dressing that I finished in no time.

Yesterday for lunch, we went to Tonkatsu Masui in Joto-ku, Osaka. Their tonkatsu is famous and delicious. We ordered the Mixed Fry set meal which came with tonkatsu, shrimp fry, steak, salad, and rice for two people. It was only ¥2,000, which we thought was a reasonable price considering the portion size. There is a coin parking nearby. The Niigata non-alcoholic beer was also tasty. We recommend going around 1 pm for the best experience.

I ordered the following menu items: Hirekatsu and Ebi Fry for 1750 yen, Kimagure Potage for 600 yen, Minced Cutlet for 400 yen, and a medium-sized bowl of rice for 200 yen. It had been about a year since I last visited this place. It is a long-established tonkatsu restaurant located a minute's walk from Imafuku-Tsurumi Station, nestled in a residential area. There are coin parking lots scattered nearby, making it convenient for those driving. The interior of the restaurant only has table seats, with a relaxed atmosphere reminiscent of a retro cafe. Since I had tried the special loin cutlet last time, this time I opted for the Hirekatsu. The food arrived about 5 minutes after ordering, starting with the soup. The soup of the day was a cold potato and onion soup, thick and rich with the flavor of potatoes. Next, a generous portion of cabbage topped with special dressing was served. The dressing seemed to be made entirely of natural sugar, with a strong tangy flavor, yet balanced with a mellow sweetness and richness. You can ask for more dressing if needed. After about 10 minutes, the main dishes arrived. The Hirekatsu had a crispy, golden-brown coating that was crunchy like tempura, with a firm texture when bitten into, richly seasoned with a hint of oil fragrance. The Hirekatsu was moist and tender, with a light taste. It paired well with the tangy sauce provided. The Ebi Fry featured large prawns deep-fried with a crispy coating, creating a delightful contrast between the crunchiness of the coating and the plumpness of the prawns. The tartar sauce, reminiscent of mayonnaise, was delicious. The Minced Cutlet had a crunchy, flavorful coating and a bold, meaty minced filling that was reminiscent of a hearty hamburger. The rice portion was quite generous, especially with the additional Minced Cutlet ordered, providing a substantial and satisfying meal. It was a delightful dining experience.

A local tonkatsu restaurant in Osaka, Masuiya! It's located in a residential area and there was a line from noon! Fantastic! It's a tonkatsu restaurant with great value for money! We visited as a family and enjoyed the special selection Hirekatsu. The service was excellent, and the piping hot Hirekatsu arrived promptly. The crispy coating had just the right amount of saltiness, while the meat inside was juicy and satisfying to bite into. It was not overly rare, but cooked perfectly to give a satisfying crunch. The staff were attentive, making sure our tea was always topped up despite being busy. The food and service were both top-notch, making it clear why this restaurant is so popular.

I went to Tonkatsu Masuiya in Higashi Osaka City. I thought it might be crowded since it's a famous restaurant, but when I went in the evening, I was the first one there. The interior of the restaurant has a retro feel like a cafe, and they offer a wide variety of Western dishes in addition to tonkatsu. I ordered the special premium loin cutlet made with Chami pork (2000 yen). The cutlet comes with salad and miso soup, but for some reason, rice is an extra charge, so I also ordered a small portion (150 yen). You can pay with PayPay. The salad comes on a separate plate, but the dressing wasn't to my liking and there was too much of it. By the time I finished the salad, the cutlet, rice, and miso soup arrived. They placed the dishes towards the back of the table, not in front of me, which made me feel like it's not a high-end restaurant. The sauce options included the standard one, homemade mustard, and pyramid salt. I found it interesting that they put the mustard in a sauce dish. And the salt portion seemed a bit small, don't you think? One piece and it's gone (laughs). The cutlet seemed to have been fried at a high temperature because the meat shrunk too much and the breading was falling apart. It was a bit difficult to dip the cutlet in the sauce since it was in a dish, a mortar and pestle would have been more convenient. The rice was a bit hard too. I guess I had overly high expectations for a famous restaurant. Apart from the way the food was served, the service was good.

Today's lunch was tonkatsu! I headed to the restaurant called "Tonkatsu Masuiya". This restaurant is a long-established tonkatsu shop founded in 1984, and it has been featured in various media outlets such as "Magic Restaurant". It has also been selected as one of the top 100 tonkatsu restaurants on Tabelog. The restaurant is a 6-minute walk from Osaka Metro Imafuku-Tsurumi Station Exit 1, and I arrived a little before 11 o'clock. There was already a sign-up sheet in front of the restaurant, and I was able to get a priority pass. After signing up, I killed some time and returned to the front of the restaurant 5 minutes before opening. There were already 8 people from 4 groups signing up. And at 11:30, the restaurant opened! I was seated at a table for 2 and placed my order. First, they served cabbage salad. Is this complimentary? It was dressed with their original dressing and very delicious. The potato salad was also good! While enjoying the salad, the restaurant was already full by around 11:45. They had already prepared take-out orders for tonkatsu, so it took a bit of time for the dine-in orders. Then, tonkatsu sauce was served. Pyramid salt, mustard sauce, and Masuiya sauce. Finally, after about 30 minutes, the "tonkatsu" arrived! The premium one-bite hirekatsu was cut into 8 pieces. It was crispy and the meat was very tender, made from high-quality pork. It was delicious with salt, mustard, or Masuiya original sauce. The rice served here also seemed to have its own unique touch and was very tasty. It was a feast! Thank you for the meal!

Hello! It's RamenWalking! Today, I went to Tonkatsu Masuiya in Imazufukumimachi and had their "Special Roast Katsu." It was a great choice for a family dinner, as everyone had different plans for their meals. I decided to start my exploration of famous tonkatsu restaurants in Osaka, and this place has been selected as one of the top 100 for the past few years. I arrived at 18:45 and luckily got a table for two without waiting. However, they were out of the "Premium Roast Katsu" that I wanted, so I tried a different recommendation. I ordered the "Special Roast Katsu" for 1,700 yen, which came with salad and rice for an additional 200 yen. The pork used for the katsu was raised in a fermentation bed in the stable, known for its flavorful fat. The katsu was crispy on the outside and juicy inside, with a hint of sweetness from the fat. The special sauce complemented the meat well. The meat was a bit firm, but overall, it was delicious. The salad was also refreshing with a sweet and sour dressing. I finished my meal quickly and thoroughly enjoyed the taste of the pork. Thank you, Tonkatsu Masuiya! Today's step count: 16,616 steps. Calories burned: 616 kcal.

☆彡I love tonkatsu and enjoy trying out various restaurants. I had heard rumors about a certain restaurant that piqued my interest. Upon looking at the photos of the dishes beforehand, I imagined that they would fry at high temperatures, which is currently trending, rather than low temperatures. The idea of eating rare pork is a bit scary to me... Lately, many restaurants seem to focus more on the appearance of the cut rather than the cooking method. I feel more at ease with restaurants that ensure the pork is cooked thoroughly. I ordered the following: - Special loin cutlet (1,700 yen) - Minced cutlet (+400 yen) - Rice, medium portion (+200 yen) First, a mountain of salad was served. Eating the finely shredded cabbage at the beginning made me feel at ease. The special onion dressing was delicious and a pleasant surprise. According to the menu, the pork is from a brand called Chabibuta, known for its sweet and melty fat. While I did taste the sweetness of the low melting point fat, after eating just one 130g loin cutlet, the fatty part felt a bit overwhelming. The additional order of minced cutlet reminded me of a Western-style dish with a good balance. There was a substantial amount of pork and beef mince compared to the onion content, making it quite filling for the price of 400 yen. The slightly sweet and spicy homemade sauce paired well with it. Overall, I think this restaurant is more like a Western-style eatery with delicious fried foods rather than a tonkatsu specialty store. The aroma of lard gave me the impression of a tonkatsu specialty store, appealing to a wide range of customers. It's a popular place that offers reasonably priced dishes. Thank you for reading until the end. Your likes, saves, and follows are encouraging to me. If you enjoyed this content, please give it a thumbs up. I also have an Instagram account @ginjirou.star. Feel free to check it out!

In Imazato, Tsurumi-ku, Osaka, there is a popular tonkatsu restaurant called Herukatsu. They offer dishes such as fillet cutlet, pork cutlet, shrimp fry, cream croquette, and beef cutlet. I went there five minutes before the end of lunchtime, and it was almost full. I ordered the fillet cutlet, scallop cream croquette, salad, rice, and miso soup for 1500 yen. The dressing for the salad is slightly sweet and very delicious. It's a place that makes you want to try other menu items as well.

I visited during lunchtime and was able to get in without waiting on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered the pork cutlet and cream croquette. The cutlet was perfectly fried and the meat was tender and flavorful. The cream croquette was filled with plenty of seafood, making it a luxurious dish! The unexpected highlight was the mini salad with a delicious dressing. They also sell the dressing for takeout, so it's no wonder they have many repeat customers. I plan to visit again for dinner or during a weekday lunch next time.
