This is a standing bar located near Sakaisuji in Dotonbori. With a counter and standing tables, it can accommodate about 15 people. The name Musashi made me imagine something completely different... I first thought of the great swordsman Miyamoto Musashi! And then, the 67th Yokozuna Musashimaru!! And also, the karateka Musashi (Miyamoto Musashi), right? But, surprise surprise, all the staff were young ladies! The gap between my expectations and reality was huge. I decided to go for draft beer first. The brand was unknown, priced at 500 yen. For food, they had mainly meat dishes such as: Beef fillet steak (with sauce) for 300 yen, Chicken thigh (with salt) for 300 yen, and Hormone (offal) for 500 yen. If you order two items from the 300 yen menu, it will be 500 yen (when ordering a drink). The beef fillet and chicken thigh were decent. The Hormone stew was cooked in a white miso base, with plenty of ingredients and good quality. Delicious! The staff, the young ladies, were extremely friendly and welcoming. They had a very attentive and questioning style of service... It felt like I had experienced this somewhere before... That's right! It was like a girls' bar!! The drink prices starting from 500 yen were a bit on the higher side for a standing bar, but considering it as a girls' bar, it was reasonable. And if you think about the fact that they offer decent food unlike a girls' bar, it's definitely worth a visit. A perfect place to go for a drink after a night of heavy drinking with the guys... If you're looking for one more place to go after that, this is the spot. Normally, they operate like a ramen shop with a ticket vending machine system, but on the day we visited, there was a group of customers right after us, so they took our order verbally. Although there was a 500 yen charge written on the ticket vending machine, it wasn't counted. Maybe they waived it because they were busy that day? I think it's better to do away with the charge. Is it a standing bar or a girls' bar... Let's make it clear which one it is. Thank you for the meal.
