Korean Cuisine Chi Jmi (in front of Hanshin Fukushima Station, Osaka City Fukushima Ward)
It's not that hot, but I didn't feel like wandering around too much, so I stumbled upon a Korean restaurant in the Fukushima area the other day. According to the sign on the door, they started serving lunch on December 14, 2021. I wasn't in the mood to decide whether to enter the restaurant based on the menu, so I just walked in. The 4-person table was empty, but since I was alone, I sat at the counter. The staff kindly said, "Please sit wherever you like." I looked at the menu. There were various options like Sundubu, Bulgogi, and Kimchi Jjigae, but I decided to go with the classic Stone Pot Bibimbap under 1000 yen. After about 4 minutes, three kinds of "today's side dishes" and soup were served. In 8 minutes, the Stone Pot Bibimbap arrived. I quickly took a photo, scooped some soup onto it, and mixed it thoroughly. The stone pot was perfectly cooked, not burnt, and the Bibimbap was slowly cooked. When I tried it, it was a bit mild, so I added all the Kimchi. It added spiciness, but something was still missing. I noticed a bottle of sweet and savory sauce called Yangnyeom sauce standing in front of me. Ah, that's it. I poured it all over, mixed it again, and ate it. Oh, well, I won't say it's amazing, but this is delicious. It reminded me of the taste of Stone Pot Bibimbap that I was impressed by when I first traveled abroad to Korea 27 years ago. Since then, I have eaten quite a few Stone Pot Bibimbaps, but I have always felt something was missing. However, this is the original taste for me. I wonder what's different. Although it's not registered on Tabelog, it already has a solid fan base and the efficient and friendly service makes it a great restaurant. (2022.6.28)
