Second time. Still can't warm up to Tamura here. Price increase is understandable, but honestly, paying 1,680 yen for this content is not worth it. On this day, I took my nephew to Sapporo. He wanted to eat yakiniku, so we tried going to Prime, but they were only accepting reservations that day. I wanted to go to Silk Road, but I was avoiding shopping at Satsueki, so going to Kuwon for lunch and then coming back would be a hassle. Walking to Odori would also be a bit much. Oh well. So, I ended up here at Tamura again, despite saying no to returning last time. It was a Sunday lunchtime, but there were empty seats, so we were able to get in without a reservation. Looking at the lunch menu, the Kalbi feast lunch I ordered last time was no longer available. Overall, the prices have gone up, which is understandable, but there was nothing on the lunch menu that caught my eye. I thought about just getting the regular Gyudon (900 yen). But then, my companion insisted on treating me, so he told my nephew to order whatever he wanted. They both ended up ordering the Kalbi & Sagari yakiniku lunch, with extra rice for free. My companion ordered the seared yakiniku lunch for 1,200 yen. It took about 13-14 minutes for the food to be served due to the crowd. The Kalbi & Sagari yakiniku lunch for 1,680 yen lacked rice. The rice was a bit disappointing for this price range. It was shiny and firm, but the color was slightly yellowish. When I tried it, I couldn't say it was delicious rice!! As I mentioned before, I was disappointed with the rice. It's obvious, but I think the quality of rice should be the same whether you order an expensive menu or not. Even in the more reasonable range of lunches at Tamura, I felt disappointed, so if I were to pay over 3,000 yen for lunch and receive this rice, I might be even more disappointed. Just to be clear, it's not that the rice isn't delicious, it's decently tasty rice. The rice I find delicious is the kind that I can eat just the rice alone, without any side dishes, but this wasn't it. Thinly sliced Kalbi. The quality of the meat is good, but since it's thin, it cooks quickly. It seems to be using the same meat as the seared lunch. I felt like I didn't eat much of the Kalbi, which was disappointing. The Sagari was tasty. It had almost no smell and was of good quality. The miso soup. When I had just the miso soup, the dashi had a subtle fragrance, which was nice, but unfortunately, after eating yakiniku or kimchi, it felt a bit weak. I wrote a lot, but the sauce was quite delicious!!! The sauce was so good that I felt like taking some home. Thanks to this sauce, I was able to enjoy the rice. It was a delicious sauce that made the rice go down smoothly. I also asked the staff for some gochujang to add, and it doubled the deliciousness. Hmm, the sauce was delicious, but unless I really want yakiniku in this area, I probably won't come back this time.
