I recently read a favorite book called "Oyatsu ga Suki" by Tsukasa Sakaki, an essayist who introduces various shops in Ginza. Tsukasa Sakaki is also known for showcasing the wonderful world of Japanese sweets in "Wagashi no An". Don't be disappointed with "Ginza, huh?" There are many wonderful shops in Ginza, and they also have branches in Osaka. One such shop is "Oyatsu ga Suki". In the book, the matcha jelly is depicted as irresistibly delicious. Although there are no pictures, the deliciousness comes through even more strongly. Initially, I asked for the matcha jelly, but it was sold out. Instead, I tried the seasonal limited edition Koishiru matcha jelly, which has raspberry chocolate cream. It was delicious in its own way, but I still wanted to try the matcha jelly. So, I went back another day and tried the matcha jelly along with the bonus hojicha jelly and matcha dumplings. The matcha jelly had a rich matcha flavor and a delightful texture. The hojicha jelly had a more subtle aroma with a charming nuttiness. The matcha dumplings were soft and easy to eat, perfect for matcha lovers. However, they tended to fall off the skewer easily. Thanks to Tsukasa Sakaki's essay, I am now inspired to explore gourmet food for a while.

I'm becoming a bit of a matcha fanatic, so it wouldn't be surprising if you thought, "Is dessert matcha again?" Nakamura Tokichi is a super famous shop with its main store in Uji, but it was my first time trying their matcha jelly. The combination of matcha, azuki beans, and mochi needs no explanation for its perfect harmony. Whoever came up with this is a genius in my opinion. I don't usually eat jelly, but I enjoyed it.

It's a very popular sweet shop (*^_^*) My sister bought three for us \(^o^)/ One for my mother, one for me, and one for my sister (*^^)v The white dumplings are so chewy and delicious (*^_^*) The matcha jelly with a perfect amount of sweet red bean paste is so good. The matcha jelly is so smooth and melts in your mouth (#^.^#) Such elegant sweets, right? (^q^) It was truly a moment of bliss (^ν^) All my fatigue just disappeared (≧∇≦)b

I tried it on a whim and I really liked it. My mother loves it and I do too, so I decided to buy it. The taste is great, no complaints, I really like this kind of food. It's easy to eat because it goes down smoothly. Nakamura Fujikichi at Hankyu Umeda Main Store is the best in the world. Thank you for the meal! Namaste! Singing! Thank you! (≧▽≦)ノo((〃∇〃o))Σ(・ω・ノ

I often find myself struggling to choose among various sweets at Hankyu, but I usually end up buying this Matcha Jelly. Despite being tempted by limited edition flavors like Hojicha or Sakura Anko, I always find the regular Matcha Jelly to be the most delicious. This time, after much deliberation, I decided to try something different. And to my surprise, it was delicious! Matcha Jelly paired surprisingly well with Raspberry Chocolate Cream. The raspberry acidity and chocolate flavor were subtle, but they balanced nicely with the matcha jelly. It was so good that I even considered it as a potential Valentine's Day gift.

Mr. Nakamura's matcha jelly with red bean paste and white dumplings is my favorite because of its rich matcha flavor. I bought it for New Year's greetings and for myself on this day. It is a rare find in Osaka, so I keep buying it because people always appreciate it as a gift.

I had delicious matcha jelly in Kyoto before. I found a shop in a department store and bought it! The matcha jelly had white balls, red bean paste, and was not too sweet. The matcha flavor was just right and very delicious! They also had hojicha jelly, so I would like to try it next time if I have the chance. It was very delicious. Thank you for the meal.

On this day, my partner and I went to the Hankyu Umeda Main Store's basement food floor. It was still hot in October, so I wanted to buy my favorite green tea jelly to take home...huh!? When I looked at the refrigerated showcase, I saw a limited edition version of the green tea jelly Σ(゚Д゚)!! I'll take this one! When we got home, we had a snack time and enjoyed it! The fragrant roasted green tea jelly paired perfectly with the chestnut paste ━━(゚∀゚)━━━ !!!!! I love both roasted green tea and chestnuts, so I quickly finished it (๑´ڡ`๑)! I wish I had savored it a bit more before finishing it~(T_T) I wonder if I'll have another chance to buy it again? Thank you for the meal.

I felt like having Matcha jelly after a long time, so I decided to get a takeout of the following items:
- Matcha jelly
- Houjicha jelly
- Matcha Dango jelly
In regards to the Matcha and Houjicha jellies, I feel that the Houjicha flavor allows you to taste the tea more compared to the Matcha flavor. However, this may vary depending on personal preferences. My wife prefers the Matcha flavor as it is not too strong in Matcha taste. The Matcha Dango jelly was just average.

One of my favorite matcha sweets has always been Nakamura Tokichi. I have visited their main store in Uji and even ordered from their online shop when they didn't have branches. Since the Osaka branch doesn't have a cafe, I opted for takeout. The Matcha Jelly in a large cup with a strong matcha flavor, containing red bean paste and two pieces of shiratama, was delicious. It had been a while since I last had it, but it was just as good as I remembered. I also noticed that a souvenir corner had been set up inside Itami Airport (after passing security) where you can buy their products. Their financiers are also recommended as Kansai souvenirs.

I visited Nakamura Fujikichi at New Year's. I usually buy their matcha jelly, but this time I decided to try something new: matcha Baumkuchen. I prefer my Baumkuchen on the firmer side, and this one did not disappoint. The coating on the outer edge was thick and perfect. Since it's matcha flavored, it goes best with strong green tea rather than black tea. Thank you for the delicious treat.

I went to Nakamura Tohkiti at Hankyu Umeda Main Store. I had tried their products before in Kyoto and they were delicious, so I decided to buy again. I purchased matcha jelly, hojicha jelly, and gyokuro jelly. I personally prefer the gyokuro flavor. The gyokuro jelly comes with a separate dish of gyokuro paste to add on top. The other jellies have red bean paste as topping. The jellies have a strong tea flavor, with the matcha jelly having a nice touch of sweet red bean paste. They were so delicious that I finished them quickly.

I enjoyed the Uji matcha filling with its exquisite sweetness. I often eat green tea and hojicha, but I hesitated to try gyokuro because it's a bit pricey. However, I decided to purchase it this time and it became my favorite. The matcha filling paired with gyokuro jelly was delicious with just the right amount of sweetness.

I always want to eat matcha, anytime, anywhere~ Matcha sweets are famous at Nakamura Tokichi! I found a mysterious item called matcha baumkuchen~ When I took a bite, wow~ the scent of matcha is so delicious! Of course, the top part is sweet, but it has an elegant taste! It goes perfectly with black coffee or green tea~ Oh, I thought it was roof tiles, but it was actually mountains (laughs).

Nakamura Tokichi, with its main store in Uji, offers a delicious treat that must be consumed within 2 days due to its freshness. This green tea jelly dessert is a must-try for matcha lovers. The jelly captures the true flavor of green tea with minimal sweetness, but it is complemented by a generous serving of red bean paste. The mochi balls are also exceptional, with a chewy texture that sets them apart from other desserts. They even offer a roasted green tea version! Priced at 390 yen, this dessert is a must-try for those who appreciate authentic flavors. Enjoy!

In August 2021, after work, I stopped by Hankyu Umeda Main Store to get some dessert. This time, I bought the Sencha Jelly from Nakamura Tokichi. I have had it many times before, but this time I chose the classic matcha and hojicha flavors. I enjoyed them at home right away. The hojicha flavor was subtly sweet, allowing you to enjoy the savory aroma of hojicha. The matcha flavor had a strong sweetness, and the texture of the jelly was exquisite. Both flavors were to my liking. The red bean paste and white dumplings added were also delicious as always. Thank you for the meal! Next time, I will try the Nakamura Tea version.

The state of emergency has been lifted, so my partner and I went to Umeda for some errands. We decided to stop by the department store basement to buy some sweets. First, we visited Sendo-san, and then we went to Nakamura Fujiyoshi. We bought the summer-favorite Matcha Jelly for 391 yen. I put it in the fridge and enjoyed it as a snack the next day. The jelly had a nice balance of matcha bitterness and aroma, with soft shiratama and mildly sweet red bean paste. It had a sophisticated and delicious taste. It was so good that I bought it again as a gift for my parents the following week. As summer approaches, I want to enjoy cool and delicious sweets to get through the season. Thank you for the meal.

After work, my husband bought me some tea jelly at Hankyu Umeda. It might be my favorite in Hankyu. Sometimes when my husband buys me cake, I can't eat it on the same day, but I can enjoy this jelly even after a meal. There are about 4-5 types of tea jelly available, priced between 400-450 yen. The regular flavors are matcha and hojicha, while seasonal flavors include gyokuro, sweet potato, and raspberry (Valentine's Day). My recommendation is hojicha. The roasted aroma of hojicha complements the sweetness of red beans. I haven't tried the raspberry flavor yet, so I'm curious about it. The expiration date is 2-3 days, but it's best to eat it the next day as the texture of the white beans changes.

"I felt that we unexpectedly had good chemistry" is how I felt when I tried the Valentine's limited edition matcha jelly with raspberry that I received here. 'Nakamura Tokichi' is a long-established Japanese tea specialty store in Uji known for its matcha sweets, with their signature confection being the "Nama Matcha Jelly." I found the "Koisuru Nama Cha Jelly," a Valentine's limited edition "Nama Matcha Jelly," at their store in Hankyu Umeda this time. While there may be few places that sell matcha jelly compared to matcha pudding, combining it with raspberry-flavored chocolate cream makes it even more unique. When I tried it, the highlight raspberry chocolate cream seemed to have a high proportion of fresh cream, giving it a rich and creamy texture, with a surprisingly mild acidity and deep richness from the cream and chocolate. At the same time, the matcha jelly, known for its fragrant flavor and smooth texture, did not clash with the chocolate cream. When it comes to sweets with raspberry, there are many with a strong acidic flavor, but this matcha jelly is easy to eat even for those who don't like acidity. For those interested, I recommend considering purchasing it."

The "Nakamura Tohkitu" is a long-established tea shop founded in 1854 in Uji, Kyoto. One of their popular items is the Uji green tea jelly. The jelly is made using finely ground matcha tea that is ground daily in a stone mill. It has a subtle bitterness and a rich sweetness that spreads in your mouth. The refreshing and smooth texture of the jelly is addicting. The rich flavor of the matcha and sweetness is truly delicious!

Autumn tea jelly for 417 yen. Filled with Naruto sweet potato paste. The sweet paste is probably naturally sweet. It goes well with the slightly bitter jelly. Hojicha chiffon cake for 649 yen. It would be better with whipped cream, but it is very moist and fluffy as it is. The hojicha flavor is strong. The price is reasonable.
