Head to Salon de The Alcion in Chuo Ward, Osaka. It is located about 150m east of Namba Station Exit 14 on the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line, on Hosekoisan Street. The 1st floor has a takeout area with a showcase of delicious cakes and shelves of various flavored teas. The 2nd floor is the salon space for dining in. Arriving at 3pm on a Saturday, there were 2 people waiting outside, but it turns out you need to check in at the entrance touch panel if you plan to dine in (important point). Despite the waitlist showing 2 groups ahead, we were quickly guided to the 2nd floor. The salon space with 2 and 4-person tables can accommodate around 30 people. The elegant decor with a gorgeous carpet, curtains, and sofas, along with calming yellow lighting, creates a relaxing atmosphere.
We ordered the February limited edition "Milk Chocolate and Mascarpone Parfait" for 1,100 yen and the flavored tea "Caramel" for 750 yen. Opting for the dessert set, it was discounted to 1,750 yen. The parfait arrived with crispy meringue sticks as decoration, topped with caramel cream, mascarpone cheese, cocoa powder, sliced strawberries, and maple syrup-flavored ice cream with crushed nuts. The highlight of the parfait was when all the elements - biscuits, chocolate, cream, and ice cream - came together on the spoon. Just like mixing Sri Lankan curry at the end enhances the flavor, this parfait seemed to have carefully calculated ingredient combinations. The "Caramel" tea had a subtle sweet and nutty aroma, perfect with or without milk.
Despite feeling a bit nervous on my first visit, I was able to enjoy a delicious and relaxing time alone. It's a great place to dine and unwind. Thank you for the meal! (^^)

Salon de The Alcyon in Namba, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture is a cafe located in Hozenji, known for being selected as one of the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog. I ordered the Peach Melba Mont Blanc Parfait this time. Is this a limited-time menu? They have a wide variety of teas, including caffeine-free options, making it recommended for pregnant women or those who are trying to cut back on caffeine. In addition to dining in, they also offer takeout, which is convenient for those who don't want to wait in line at the store!

I love it after all! I visited the crepe shop around noon on a holiday and saw a long line, so I thought maybe I should try this place instead. The lunch menu wasn't that crowded, so I quickly changed to this place. They have a reservation call system here, just like at the crepe shop. By the way, the crepe shop only accepts cash, while this place also accepts cards. Now, since I came in the fall, I had to try the store-exclusive freshly squeezed Mont Blanc dessert. It was so delicious, the best thing I've had this year! It's even more delicious when you mix it with ice cream. The ice cream itself was also incredibly tasty. I forgot to take a picture, but the Mont Blanc drink was also amazing, with Mont Blanc cream at the bottom, milk tea in the middle, and rum cream on top. It was a bit heavy to drink with a straw (haha), but it was heavenly. The Earl Grey cake was perfect for tea lovers, and the sugar on the side that came with the Alcyon Blue was so cute. The lady who brought the cake explained it to us, and you could tell she really loves cakes. I got so excited and told her how delicious it was, and she was happy too. Everything was just perfect and it was so soothing.

I have always wanted to go to Alcyon Creperie, and I have been there for dinner. This was my first time trying the Mont Blanc, and it was so delicious that it might become my favorite. The Choux a la Creme and the cheese were also incredibly tasty!

This is a September limited plate featuring figs in red wine compote. There is a soft tart-like base with plenty of butter underneath. The combination of figs and the base is delicious. The ice cream is rich and smooth, and it was excellent. The milk tea was also delicious. The heart-shaped sugar was cute.

I visited the bakery to celebrate and bought their famous Mont Blanc recommended by Ainosuke Kataoka, their classic shortcake, and a chocolate flavored cake. All the cakes here are truly outstanding, as expected from a shop selected as one of the top 100 in the country!

Located just a 3-minute walk from Namba Station in Osaka, Salon de Te Alchon offers a European cafe-like atmosphere where you can enjoy delicious desserts ranging from seasonal treats to classic cakes. Situated just off the side street of Namba's Shinsaibashi-suji shopping arcade, the shop exudes a European cafe ambiance. On the first floor, you'll find a boutique selling a variety of teas, with an eat-in area on the second floor. Known for being listed in the top 100 sweets shops on Tabelog, the shop often has long queues with tickets being distributed. It's recommended to get a ticket first, then explore the surrounding area before making your purchase. In the eat-in area, you can enjoy a wide selection of teas since it's a tea specialty store. They also offer a variety of sweets and cakes, but I tried the seasonal dessert "White Peach and Rosemary Millefeuille." This dessert features a crispy pie filled with wine-infused peaches and custard cream. The combination of peach and custard cream is excellent, and the contrast between the crispy pie and juicy filling is exquisite. If you're in Osaka, be sure to check this place out.

I used this place for a sweet time in Dotonbori. Although it was mentioned that reservations are possible when ordering the afternoon tea set, I visited without a reservation. When I arrived after 2 pm, there was a wait for 3 groups, so we waited inside the store. If the store gets crowded, you may have to wait outside, but they will contact you when it's your turn if you provide your phone number. The cakes are priced around 500-600 yen, which is not too expensive. I was torn between choices, but ended up ordering the Afternoon Tea Set for 1,980 yen (includes your choice of cake, quiche, macaron, baked goods, and a drink). The drink was the August specialty, Peach x Chouchou Soda. The cakes were cheesecake and shortcake. It's a great deal for all that you get for 1,980 yen. It was nice to escape the hustle and bustle of Dotonbori and enjoy a relaxing tea time. The shop is famous for its tea, and there were many tea leaves for sale on the 1st floor. The cakes were lightly sweetened and had a light texture, making it easy to eat multiple pieces. I would love to visit again on my next trip to Osaka.

I was originally planning to have takoyaki for lunch, but when we passed by this place, both my daughter and I instantly knew we had to go in. My daughter loves the three-tiered dish, while I was drawn to the French-style shaved ice. The meat and bread dish had orange sauce, which was delicious when dipped in the bread. The shaved ice was made from frozen peach, mango, and pineapple, topped with condensed milk, cranberries, and fennel sweet stew, with an almond cake in the center. We enjoyed a sophisticated shaved ice dessert.

Located on Koisan Street in Namba, Osaka, the main store of Salon de Thé Arshon in Hozenji Temple has been in operation since 1986. This French-style long-established Western confectionery shop has a boutique on the 1st floor offering tea and Western sweets, while the 2nd floor houses a tea salon. The main attractions are the tea from the French tea merchant Georges Cannon and French pastries that complement it. This patisserie was spun off from the long-established Bistro da Ange in Shinsaibashi. Despite originally planning to enjoy cake with warm tea, the scorching heat led me to try the "Tea Cola" for 850 yen. It is a very refreshing drink made by mixing a special tea syrup with orange, vanilla, and spices with carbonated water. I never thought of blending tea with cola, but this homemade cola creation is truly exceptional. My wife ordered the "Kachiwari Verveine Soda" for 850 yen, also a summer limited edition sparkling soda. It is made by pouring soda over crushed ice with "Verveine," a lemon verbena herbal tea. With no strong flavors and a hint of mint, it is likened to a mojito. Enjoying such cocktail-like teas may be a unique experience that only a long-established shop can offer.

After having lunch, I wanted to eat crepes so I went to Creperie Alshon, but they said I had to wait for about 1.5 hours because they prioritize reservations, so I moved to the nearby main store. I chose the Mont Blanc cake, which was the most popular item, from the afternoon tea set menu, but it was a mistake. The cake had a huge chunk of meringue on top that was extremely, excessively sweet, and I couldn't finish it. The other items were delicious. The main store only serves black tea. Thank you for the meal.

Visited before noon on a regular day. Was seated right away and there were 7 other customers in the restaurant. It was a typical Alshon Group establishment with a Western-style interior and about 22 table seats. I ordered the "White Peach Compote and Nostalgic Pudding Parfait Dessert Set for 1700 yen". It was served in about 9 minutes. The dessert had a distinctive visual with a rose on top. It consisted of pudding, peach compote, whipped cream, herbal tea jelly, custard, and streusel. The pudding was classic and delicious, truly the star of the dish. The peach compote had a strong peach flavor and complemented the pudding well. The herbal tea jelly balanced the flavors, and the streusel at the bottom added a nice texture. Overall, it was a visually appealing and delicious parfait. It was also quite filling and satisfying. Thank you for the meal!

I had the white peach compote and nostalgic pudding at Qinto Se's meat udon for breakfast and lunch. I wanted to have some coffee as well. I remembered seeing white peach compote and nostalgic pudding at this shop when I passed by yesterday, so I decided to come here. The shop specializes in sweets and tea. I asked to eat in and was seated at a table on the 2nd floor after a short wait. Most customers were enjoying afternoon tea in pairs, while some were having meals. I ordered the white peach compote and nostalgic pudding from the menu. The staff informed me about the one drink order system, so I chose an ice milk tea within 780 yen. The milk tea, made with caramel (a type of black tea), arrived first and was refreshing and delicious. The main dish, white peach compote, was presented beautifully like flower petals, not too sweet, and brought out the flavor of the fruit. The pudding was firm in texture and although I'm not a fan of sweet desserts, I enjoyed it after a long time.

I tried to go last time but there was a 2-hour wait due to tablet reservations, so I gave up and tried again. This time I was able to get in smoothly. I was torn between the afternoon tea set, but since it was before dinner, I opted for cake and a drink. The lemon tart cake was delicious, with the lemon on top soaked in honey or syrup. It went well with the tea. If you go close to the last order time, you can get in without waiting, so I recommend it. Thank you for the meal.

I wanted to eat cake, so I visited the restaurant. When I looked at the menu, I saw a delicious-looking pudding with peaches, so I ordered it. I thought it would just be peaches on the pudding, but there was jelly around it, with cream and cookie-like pieces underneath, making it like a parfait. It was very delicious and satisfying. There was sugar in the shape of ribbons and flowers for the tea, which was cute. Next time, I want to come back and try the cake.

Sweets cafe near Dotonbori listed in the top 100 on Tabelog. If you're looking for sweets in Minami, this is the place to go! As recommended by the queen of Osaka sweets, I stopped by to buy some treats as a souvenir for a restaurant in Kyoto I was visiting at night. Since I was there, I decided to eat in as well! I used the machine inside the store to get a waiting number and they would call me via phone or LINE. Very convenient! I wandered around Dotonbori while waiting. I was second in line, so I was called in about 10 minutes. The salon is upstairs up a steep staircase. Yes, except for one couple, everyone was female haha, as usual. I had decided on two cakes and a drink, but when I looked at the menu, they had just started serving white peaches! So, I reluctantly gave up on the cream puff and went for the white peach parfait! I also ordered a set with cold Earl Grey. - Strawberry shortcake: Wow, this is delicious. The cream has an elegant sweetness and a smooth texture. I felt like I could eat as many as I wanted. I almost finished it in two bites, but I split it into four considering the atmosphere haha. Shortcake tastes especially delicious when made with high-quality cream. The Earl Grey had a nice aroma and the lingering bitterness was very pleasant. The back and forth between the sweetness of the shortcake and the bitterness of the tea was dreamy. This store also pays attention to their tea, and on the first floor, in addition to cakes and sweets, they also sell a variety of teas. - White peach parfait: A beautiful rose as a delicate decoration looks lovely. The white peach was in compote form. It had a gentle sweetness that preserved the deliciousness of the white peach. It was accompanied by fragrant tea jelly, crunchy cookie crumbles as an accent, pudding, and whipped cream, making it a luxurious and dreamy parfait. The pastry chef's sense of aesthetics is amazing. This was my first experience with such a white peach parfait! The ladies at the girls' party were enjoying a luxurious afternoon tea set with a hotel-like presentation. I envy them. The service was very polite and the atmosphere was comfortable. I would like to visit again to experience a different season.

After visiting Hozanji Temple, I came to this shop. Around 2:00 PM on Sunday, I was seated right away. Dessert Set for 1750 yen includes American Cherry Milkfedrine and Melange Fruity. The American Cherry Milkfedrine, cooked in red wine and spices, paired perfectly with custard! The spices really shine in this one. The Melange Fruity is a limited edition item, a cold-brewed green tea blended with pineapple and strawberry petals. Apple Chiboust for 550 yen and Tea Cola for 850 yen were also delicious. The Tea Cola is a mix of orange, vanilla, spices, and tea syrup topped with soda, lemon, and lime for a refreshing taste. The service was very polite, and I received a detailed explanation of the cakes. The atmosphere of the shop is great, and it's a perfect place to relax and enjoy your time.

The cake was just as delicious as last time. When dining in, there is a one drink minimum. The cakes are cheap, but the drinks are a bit pricey. It was about 70% full during lunchtime. If you're going for the cake, I recommend getting it to go.
