I tried beef tongue for the first time in my life. I went on a weekday night so I was able to get a table right away. I ordered the grilled beef tongue with mini stew set. You can choose between salt and miso, and this time I chose salt. It had a unique texture. Unfortunately, I found out that I don't really like beef tongue itself, but I think it would be very delicious for those who like beef tongue. My friend who loves beef tongue said it was delicious. The free refills of barley rice and pickled Chinese cabbage are delicious.

It was a late lunch. Over the weekend, even families were waiting in line. Finally got a seat and ordered a draft beer. Ordered grilled beef tongue with green onion sauce as a side dish. Then ordered the beef tongue set meal, choosing between miso or salt flavor. The beef tongue was tender and delicious.

Around noon on Saturday, Third Avenue was bustling with people and every place was packed. However, this place was empty. Since I didn't have much time until my next appointment, I decided to give it a try. It was my first time, so I ordered the popular beef tongue lunch set. I chose the salt flavor this time. It was brought to me in about 5 minutes after ordering. It was really helpful when time is tight. The restaurant seemed unpopular, but the taste was... delicious! The oxtail soup was light yet packed with meaty flavor! There was even oxtail meat in it. The beef tongue was also delicious, but the best part was the green pepper miso pickle that came with it. Even without meat, this alone made the rice enjoyable. The rice and pickled cabbage were free for refills, which was attractive. I didn't get a refill, though haha It would be nice if we could get a refill of the green pepper miso pickle too haha When time is short, I'll definitely come back to this place!

In the food court within Hankyu Sanbangai, there is a restaurant that serves Sendai beef tongue. If you go to the food court around 7 pm on a holiday, it's so crowded that finding a seat is a challenge. I ordered the beef tongue bowl. Compared to Rikyu and Higashiyama, it lacked a bit of excitement, but the taste was consistent and reliable.

I often find myself missing lunchtime and becoming a lunch refugee, so I decided to stop by a restaurant that offers affordable lunch options and discovered a popular beef steak set meal. Although the restaurant mainly serves beef tongue set meals, they also provide a beef steak set meal at a reasonable price. The set meal includes oxtail soup, barley rice, and unlimited refills of barley rice and pickles. The beef steak set meal features a generous portion of diced beef steak on a bed of lettuce, cooked rare and served with a simple grated sauce. With the option for unlimited barley rice refills, this restaurant is a great place to enjoy a hearty lunch.

Located in Hankyu Sanban-gai in Umeda, this shop has a lively atmosphere, especially on a Sunday afternoon. You can enjoy a simple and delicious beef tongue set meal here. You can choose between salt and miso flavor, and I chose salt which I think was the right choice for me. I haven't tried the miso flavor so I can't comment on that. There is also a set meal where you can enjoy both salt and miso flavors. The soup is also delicious with a good amount of pepper. While it's not particularly cheap, compared to other beef tongue restaurants, it's not expensive either, making it a recommended place for enjoying beef tongue affordably.

Located in the restaurant area of Hankyu Sanban-gai in Osaka. The prices are a bit high within Sanban-gai, but it's a nice place to relax and the food is delicious, so I often visit. Beef tongue is generally a bit pricey, right? I visited alone around 1 pm on a weekday. There was no line outside, and about half of the seats were taken. I was seated at a table for four. There are acrylic boards for COVID-19 measures.
- Salted beef tongue stew set: 2000 yen
You can choose between salted or miso beef tongue. I chose salted. It arrived about 10 minutes after ordering. The stew was bubbling hot, very hot. You can get extra rice and pickles. It's been a while since I had stew, but it was rich and delicious. It goes well with rice. I ended up getting a rice refill. Of course, the beef tongue goes well with rice too. The staff, although there were many, all seemed to be in the same area. They kindly asked if I wanted a refill of the cold tea, so I asked for a refill of rice at that time. You can pay with PayPay. Thank you for the meal! (・∀・)

I originally loved "Negishi" and was looking for a similar restaurant in Kansai when I stumbled upon this place. The price range is almost the same as Negishi, maybe slightly higher. The meat here had more fat compared to Negishi! (Personally, I prefer less oil, but I might be in the minority). The standout delicious dish was the pickles! You can have unlimited refills of pickled Chinese cabbage and rice, and the pickled cabbage made the rice so enjoyable! The overall quality was high, and paying almost 2000 yen for a meal was totally worth it. I will definitely come back again!

I visited around 2:30 PM and was able to avoid missing out on food thanks to the restaurant's continuous operation. There were about 13 tables, with half of them being occupied. Although the restaurant is known for its beef tongue, I ordered the steak set meal for 1320 yen. The set included beef tongue soup, barley rice, and pickled Chinese cabbage. You can get refills for the barley rice and pickled cabbage. The surface of the steak was crispy, while the inside was cooked with a hint of redness. Since it's lean meat, it had a firm texture and I could taste the deliciousness of the meat. The soup was the type commonly found in Sendai, likely made from beef bones. It was well-made and could easily rival dishes from famous restaurants. Apart from the food, the service at this restaurant was truly pleasant. The staff would refill your tea without you needing to ask, and they even checked if you wanted more rice or cabbage. The smiles from the staff in the dining area made the dining experience incredibly enjoyable, and I left for my afternoon work feeling satisfied.

I had always been curious about the beef tongue restaurant in Hankyu Sanban-gai. When I visited around 13:30, it was lunchtime and the seats were almost full. I ordered the lunch set with miso and salt flavors, each coming with 3 slices. The taste was okay. There were many people ordering salt, but personally, I felt that the miso was softer and more to my liking. Above all, the service from the staff was great. Overall, I was satisfied with being able to visit this place that I had wanted to go to. Thank you for the meal.

A restaurant in Hankyu Sanbangai. I love beef tongue, so I tried the premium thick-cut version. It was quite firm and had a good bounce to it!"

I discovered a famous restaurant in Sendai! I wanted to eat my favorite beef tongue after a long time, so I decided to go there (^o^)/ I ordered the limited quantity "Premium Thick Cut & Grilled Beef Tongue Set" because I wanted to try both the thick cut and the regular grilled beef tongue. They asked if I wanted it seasoned with salt or miso, and since it was my first time, I chose salt. The thick cut takes about 10 minutes to cook, so I was okay with the wait. The oxtail soup has a gentle flavor and is delicious, but the oxtail pieces are thin and small (laughs) They are cute. The Premium Thick Cut Grilled Beef Tongue was thick but expertly cut and easy to eat! It was tender with a unique chewy texture, and the umami flavor spread in my mouth. Very satisfying! The only disappointment was that I couldn't smell the charcoal flavor. The grilled beef tongue was tender and thin, but had a good umami flavor that went well with the barley rice. The barley rice was a large portion, but the 6 slices of beef tongue felt a bit lacking, so I carefully balanced the portions, sandwiched the pickled cabbage in between, and finished it all in one go! It was a delicious beef tongue meal after a long time ♡ If they can bring out the smoky flavor, I would definitely want to come back! #Staff's friendliness was a bit lacking

End of the year at Sanbangai. It was crowded everywhere at lunchtime. I wanted to find a place that was open, had plenty of room for my bags, and where I could relax. I peeked inside and it seemed like I could get a table, so I entered. Even though I was alone, I was guided to a table for four. Great!
I ordered the "Mori no Ya Teishoku" for ¥1950 (tax included), which includes barley rice, oxtail soup, pickled Chinese cabbage, and simmered beef tendon. You can get refills of the barley rice and Chinese cabbage. There seemed to be slightly less beef tongue compared to a regular beef tongue set. However, there was plenty of large beef tongue in the tendon stew. The taste was just right, not too overpowering, and delicious.
I felt like the amount of grated yam was a bit less, but that might just be my imagination... They have a good selection of a la carte dishes, so it could be a good place for casual drinks in the evening. Today, some groups were ordering both a la carte dishes and alcohol, so it seems like you can also use it as an izakaya. Thank you for the meal! (*´ω`*)

Underground mall in Osaka Umeda. I stopped by on my way back from a business trip to adjust my time. The restaurant's name is "Sendai Gyutan and Sake". It's an enticing combination. Since I just have to go back after this, I decided to have a late lunch, enjoying some gyutan (beef tongue) as a snack and having a drink before heading home. It's the gyutan from "Mori no Ya". The restaurant is located in the underground mall of Osaka Station, making it very convenient for transportation. I plan to have a late lunch here before sleeping on the bullet train back home! Even though it's lunchtime, I'm already in the mood for a drink. I ordered the sasakamaboko (bamboo leaf-shaped fish cake) for 328 yen and the grilled eihire (skate fin) for 419 yen to start off. Sipping my beer, I peruse the menu. The sasakama is unexpectedly bouncy and delicious! I decided to skip the set meal as I tend to get full quickly after eating rice, opting for alcohol instead. As a side dish for my drink, I chose the gyutan, ordering the "Grilled Gyutan (6 slices)" for 1,255 yen with a choice of salt or miso seasoning, and I went with miso. The crispy texture of the gyutan, when chewed, releases a juicy umami flavor of miso and meat. Gyutan is always delicious. I never thought I would eat gyutan in Osaka, but it's always delicious no matter where you eat it. The slightly bold miso seasoning is perfect for drinking. The osinko (pickles) and nanban miso are also perfect accompaniments for alcohol. Although it's 6 slices, it's just the right amount for one person. Feeling a bit more energetic, I decided to try the "Negi-tare Grilled Gyutan" for an additional 864 yen. It's not just salt, but a salt sauce mixed with leeks. It's a delicious sauce that allows you to fully enjoy the flavor of the meat. It's my first time eating gyutan this way, and it's great! The salt sauce is delicious. The sliced onions also complement the meat well. Delicious! I usually have gyutan in a set meal, but it was also delicious to pair it with alcohol this time. It was so delicious that I felt like I could stay there longer, but I reluctantly left the restaurant...

Hello. It's me. Today's review is about "The summer of middle school where I put a purikura on the battery of my flip phone". Starting with Grilled Beef Tongue Salt & Miso Set Meal for 1655 yen at lunchtime, I was looking for Mapo Tofu but couldn't resist the sight of the words "beef tongue" and ended up entering the restaurant. Located on a street with many restaurants in Sanbangai, there were various menu options but I decided on a classic and affordable set meal. The food was served in about 10 minutes, so I spent the time learning about beef tongue on YouTube. Beef tongue can be divided into tip, middle, base, and root, with the tip being harder and the base being softer. Beef tongue is lower in calories compared to other cuts of meat for BBQ, and is rich in protein and vitamins, making it a recommended ingredient for diet and beauty. It was indeed delicious, and it's safe to say that there are very few people who dislike beef tongue. Thank you for the meal.

After finishing work, I went underground in Umeda to have dinner. If you get lost looking for a restaurant, Hankyu underground is convenient. I chose Morinoya Umeda Hankyu Sanbangai store (*'▽'). The thick-cut grilled beef tongue looked delicious, so I decided to try it. Since it's still under restrictions, they close at 8 pm. This time, I went for the luxurious option and ordered the premium thick-cut grilled beef tongue set meal (∩´∀`)∩ The large thick slices of tongue have a satisfying texture and a rich flavor. The oxtail soup is also delicious. The barley rice goes well with it. The thick tongue was indeed delicious. Thank you for the meal.

When I feel tired from work, I often crave beef tongue and come here. Thinly sliced ones are delicious, but thick cuts have a satisfying chewiness. The miso paste served as a side has the perfect amount of spiciness and is addictive. Being able to get refills of rice, pickles, and miso soup is also a nice touch.

Located in Hankyu Sanbangai. It was crowded, but the prices seemed to be lower compared to other shops, so there wasn't much of a line. I visited alone around 1:00 PM on a weekday in March and was seated immediately. There are tables for 4 people as well as tables for 2 people. I was seated at a table for 4 people. Even the tables for 2 people were quite spacious. I was craving for beef tongue and grated yam! However, most of the lunch sets didn't come with grated yam. You can get unlimited refills of barley rice. The "Beef Tongue Special Set" costs 2160 yen and includes beef tongue, beef tendon stew, tail soup, barley rice, and grated yam. I imagined the beef tendon stew to be like Osaka's Dotenabe, but it was actually a light stew. The beef tendon was tender and delicious. The beef tongue was thick but tender! It felt like I was really indulging in the meat. It went well with the pickles. The barley rice was chewy, and I was so hungry that I ended up getting a refill. The restaurant has slightly dim lighting, creating a quiet atmosphere in Hankyu Sanbangai. I was able to enjoy my meal slowly. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I arrived in Osaka around 13:30 for my child's entrance exam, so before going to visit the university, I decided to have lunch. Since I was taking the Hankyu train, I chose to eat at a restaurant in Hankyu Sanbangai nearby. I ordered the Grilled Beef Tongue & Steak set for 1420 yen and the Grilled Beef Tongue & Tendon Stew set for 1250 yen. The beef tongue was tender and delicious! The steak had a good medium rare cook, although it had a bit more fat. It also came with beef tail soup, which felt like a good deal. The barley rice was free for refills! The tendon stew had tender meat that was well stewed. It made me want to have some alcohol with it. The restaurant was crowded due to its location, even towards the end of lunchtime. Perhaps due to the season? There were many solo diners as well. Despite being busy and full, the service was very polite, and they quickly refilled my tea when it was running low. It's a cozy place that makes you want to come back again.

This is a restaurant in Sendai that serves beef tongue. Sometimes I really crave thick slices of beef tongue. The familiar combination of barley rice, grated yam, pickles, and oxtail soup. This seems to be a typical Sendai-style combination. I ordered the sauce instead of salt. The taste was good, but maybe the salt would have been even better. I am satisfied.
