This udon restaurant is completely blended into a residential area. It may be difficult to find if you don't do any research beforehand, as it is located down a narrow alley. I arrived on a Saturday around 10:30 am and there was no line outside. I thought they might open at 11 am, but the staff came out early and let us in. Inside, there were already 6 people seated. They offer udon in three sizes: "small (200g)", "medium (350g)", and "large (500g)". The small size seemed like a good choice in terms of portion, but here, it's better to go a size down. The "Chicken and Egg Tempura Udon (small / 1,100 yen)" is a delicious udon with a chewy and firm texture. The thickness varies in some parts, which adds to the overall experience. The broth is rich and you can taste the dashi and soy sauce flavors. The generous amount of bonito flakes enhances the aroma as you eat. The condiments include grated radish, grated ginger, green onions, shredded seaweed, and bonito flakes. In addition to chicken and egg tempura, they also offer shiso leaf and seaweed tempura, making the meal very satisfying. The chicken tempura, in particular, is so big that it almost outweighs the udon itself. This is probably why they strongly discourage leaving any food uneaten. By the end of the meal, it didn't feel like I had just eaten 200g of udon. The price may seem high, but considering the quality, it's actually a great value. However, for those who prefer smaller portions, even the small size might be too much.
