I went to the Toretore Market in Sakai. It is only open on weekends, with various shops inside. I was surprised to see quite a lot of people there, even though I thought it would be less crowded. The main attraction is renting a shichirin (Japanese charcoal grill) and buying seafood from the surrounding shops to grill. There are various types of shops such as udon restaurants, tempura shops, seafood sashimi specialists, and grilled fish specialists. This time, I went to a seafood bowl restaurant. I ordered the "Ultimate Seafood Bowl" for 2000 yen, which had a variety of toppings, but the shrimp and sea urchin were particularly delicious. The sea urchin was fresh and very tasty. This seafood bowl would easily cost around 3000 yen in the city. The seafood was quite delicious and I enjoyed it! Thank you for the meal!

At Roku Maru, you can rent a shichirin (Japanese charcoal grill) set with meat and vegetables for 3000 yen, which is a 300 yen discount. After renting the shichirin, you can purchase grilled items or side dishes from your favorite store. There are so many delicious options to choose from, but since you're near the fishing port, why not buy some seafood from Takada Suisan? They have a set with 3 scallops and 3 honbinos for around 1000 yen. After satisfying your hunger with seafood, you can look for something to finish off your meal. That's when you might spot the rare tuna tail at Sea Land K.D. It's too unique to pass up, so you buy it. They cut it for you and even give you instructions on how to enjoy it - half with salt and half with teriyaki sauce. You can have it rare or try it with a nice glaze. It was a fun and delicious experience.

I was researching seafood dishes and found out about this restaurant in Osaka, so I decided to give it a try. I arrived at 11 am to avoid the crowds, and was able to easily find a seat. Even after 12 pm, it didn't get too crowded, so I learned not to be too eager. First, I rented a barbecue grill. I chose my seat first and they brought the grill to my table after I paid. Here is what I ordered: - Rental barbecue grill, beef and vegetable set (3,000 yen) - Seafood set (1,000 yen) - Shiitake mushrooms (4 for 200 yen) - Frankfurter sausage (1 for 200 yen) - Shirasu rice bowl (800 yen) - Oden (1 for 100 yen) - Onigiri (1 for 150 yen) - Soft drink in a bottle (1 for 150 yen) I think renting just the grill without the food set might have been better. The grill alone costs 1,500 yen, so the price of the beef and vegetables would be 1,500 yen. The meat was average, so I felt like I should have spent that money on other food items instead. The seafood was okay, but considering the size and price, it might not be that cheap. The shirasu rice bowl was delicious, but I feel like I could make it at home. The shiitake mushrooms, oden, and onigiri were tasty. The concept of being able to eat favorite items from different restaurants in a food court style was interesting. It might be a good place to have a lively meal with friends.

The original source is here ↓https://ameblo.jp/fry2567/entry-12747255473.htmlNow that it's getting warmer, it's the perfect season for BBQ. So, we had to do it. BBQ at the Toritori Market in Dejima!! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this event had not been held for a long time. The last time was in 2020. Even though some of the company's employees didn't know about this event, when we mentioned it, everyone wanted to participate. Following the rule of 4 people per table, we had a big feast. We rented a charcoal grill, bought some beer, and chilled it in a bucket. We had three BBQ course options: - Course A: 2500 yen (charcoal grill, grill net, plates, meat, vegetables) - Course B: 3000 yen (charcoal grill, grill net, plates, meat, vegetables, 2 glasses of draft beer or 2 cans of beer) - Course C: 1200 yen (charcoal grill, grill net, plates) Of course, the best deal was Course B. We started grilling the meat right away. But the meat that came in the set was not enough and quickly ran out (laughs). So we added some seafood. The recommended dish here is definitely conger eel. It costs 1000 yen now, but this conger eel is really delicious. We also bought squid and a seafood platter. Don't forget to sprinkle salt on the squid. We grilled various items. Our table of middle-aged men, as well as the young people's table, kept ordering more food because everything was disappearing quickly (laughs). There are not as many shops as before, but they sell various seafood and other items. Even though we bought things that had nothing to do with the market, they were perfect for BBQ. Still, we wanted some seafood, so we kept buying more and grilling everything. They even sell hormone (offal), which is perfect for when the heat starts to drop (laughs). But it's actually delicious. We kept adding more meat, and at 300 yen per pack, it was a great deal. The sausages were also a good deal, with a lot in one pack for 200 yen. Despite buying all of that, for some reason, all we lined up were shrimp (laughs). When did we buy these shrimp (laughs)? After nearly 5 hours, everyone was very satisfied. Just at our table, we finished all this beer. Four people and 9 cans of 2-liter beer. It's great to drink this much with four people (laughs). The upcoming season is definitely a fun time for BBQ. There are quite a few places where you can enjoy BBQ, such as the Toritori Market, Daisen Park, and Haraike Park, so how about enjoying BBQ under the nice weather? Ah, it was delicious and fun. Thank you for the meal~♪

Leisure lunch on a day off! I picked up two friends at Mikuni-ga-Oka Station by car. It's a little over 10 minutes by car. This is my second visit, but it's been a while since I came last time. There are several food stalls here, which create a nice atmosphere, especially on weekends. It was more crowded than when I came about 2 years ago, probably because of the outdoor dining option during the pandemic. We first ordered a tabletop charcoal grill with meat and vegetables, plus two draft beers for 3000 yen (tax included). If you don't drink beer, there is also an option for 2500 yen (tax included), but since the other two will be drinking, we went with the B course. We also added 3 conger eels and a seafood set for 1000 yen each to enjoy some seafood. The charcoal grill took a while to get going, but it was fun in its own way. We chatted and laughed while struggling to cook the food properly. After finishing that, we bought 3 turban shells and 5 clams for 1000 yen each. The turban shells were a bit tricky to open, but they tasted delicious once we managed to eat them. The clams were easier to eat since the shells opened neatly. We also bought octopus rice and more beer along the way. This place is all about enjoying the ingredients, so we had a great time chatting and eating for almost 4 hours. Thank you for the delicious meal. Cheers! (((o(*゚▽゚*)o)))

※This is a post from a blog♪Blog URL: https://sibumi.blog.fc2.com/blog-entry-5573.html My town Sakai has many unique facilities☆ Since the sea is nearby, there are still fishing ports around♪ A long time ago, there was a limited weekend event called "Sakai Izushima Fishing Port Toretore Market." On a Sunday, after a bike ride, I stopped by because I was a little hungry! I had some yakisoba without thinking too much about it~ Visited on November 8th: On Sundays, the roads are empty, so I rode my mini velo bike, a Friday, towards the Sakai Chikko area. There are many steel and logistics-related factories and companies, so there are a lot of large trucks passing by on weekdays... But Sundays are still easy to ride~ It's a bit bleak, though... At the edge, there is a large green area near the sea, the Minato Sakai Green Plaza. I went there and cheered on the sports boys playing baseball and soccer. Then I headed to the Sakai-ku Ohama Nishi Izushima Fishing Port where a boat was being unloaded on land!! Sakai City Fishery Cooperative Toretore Market is a lively place on weekends from the morning. By 1:30 pm, there were fewer people, but the tables under the roof were still lively! There were various food stalls, old-fashioned street food style~ Since I rode my bike a bit, I was a little hungry and decided to buy packed yakisoba for 350 yen, on special for 300 yen. I bought it and enjoyed it at an empty table! It was already cold, not hot, but it was quite delicious, so I devoured it quickly☆ Bon appétit♪ There are rental shichirin with charcoal for easy BBQ enjoyment here (no outside food allowed). A Course (2,500 yen): Shichirin + meat set B Course (3,000 yen): Shichirin + beer C Course (1,200 yen): Shichirin only It's like this~ There are plenty of meat and seafood being sold here! It's a hidden gem known to those in the know, and they are enjoying it thoroughly~ (Taken with S95) Sakai Izushima Fishing Port Toretore Market 24 Ohama Nishi-cho, Sakai-ku, Sakai City 072-221-7272 10:00-17:00 (Every Saturday and Sunday) Closed on weekdays

The clams and sazae were big and chewy! The shrimp, fish, and octopus were all delicious. The squid was crunchy and tasty. The seafood bowl had plenty of seafood on warm white rice, and we also tried the crab soup. It was great to easily enjoy BBQ. The terrace was nicer than inside the house because the sea breeze was refreshing.

The original source is here ↓ https://ameblo.jp/fry2567/entry-12608908087.html The company's employees had been suggesting for a while that we should have a BBQ near the mentor's house. We planned to do it at the beginning of March, but due to the situation with the Wuhan virus, we had to postpone it. Finally, things settled down and we decided to go to the Toretore Market in Dejima. I arrived 30 minutes earlier than everyone else to secure a spot. There were already a few people around even though it was past 10 o'clock. As usual, I arranged for seven charcoal grills. There were three options for the course: - A course: 2500 yen (charcoal grill, grill net, plates, meat, vegetables) - B course: 3000 yen (charcoal grill, grill net, plates, meat, vegetables, 2 draft beers or 2 canned beers) - C course: 1200 yen (charcoal grill, grill net, plates) I chose the B course without hesitation. Since there were twice as many people as last time, we rented 4 grills. We decided to add more meat later. If anyone wanted rice dishes, there was a rice bowl restaurant nearby with affordable prices. They also offered sashimi and other dishes. There were many other shops around. While waiting for everyone to arrive, I enjoyed a beer. It was only 300 yen wherever you bought it. The staff had prepared everything for us in advance. When everyone arrived, we started the BBQ. Each person had a portion like this. We leisurely grilled the food. It was so much fun to have a BBQ with everyone in an open space. There was even a child, so we grilled some sausages for them. One of the more eccentric guys was surprisingly good with children, which was a different side of him. However, he brought sea cucumbers and started using inappropriate language, so some things never change (laughs). But the sea cucumbers were surprisingly delicious. Everyone brought alcohol, so we had a variety of drinks. They even brought live octopus and other interesting foods. The live octopus was really good. We also had conger eel, which was my request, and everyone loved it. They even bought more. Pickled shallots were spicy and delicious. Everyone bought their favorite foods and grilled them. When I mentioned that sweetfish was delicious, everyone wanted to try it. Sweetfish has tiny bones, so it's a bit of a hassle to eat. They joked about eating the bones too. They even grilled marshmallows. They were surprisingly delicious. We ended the meal with Tosa ice cream, which was delicious. I've loved it since I was a kid. Everyone, including the first-timers, enjoyed it a lot. We're thinking of doing it again in the fall. Ah, it was so much fun. Thank you for the meal.

The original source is here ↓ https://ameblo.jp/fry2567/entry-12539632496.html I went to the Toretore Market in Dejima with my family before and posted it on Instagram. A colleague at work said, "I really want to go there," so we decided to go with our work friends. We were 30 minutes late due to an accident, but that's a secret. Of course, the main attraction is the charcoal grill, so we rented one at Tetsu's house. Look for the sign that says "Rokumaru." We rented two grills, so we got four beers. The charcoal grill has arrived, and this time the charcoal is burning nicely. We forgot to bring the grill, but it's all good. We bought a variety of seafood and started grilling. The meat and seafood were delicious, and everyone's excitement was high. We chilled the canned beers in a bucket and drank them. And if we needed more food, we could buy as much as we wanted. My recommendation is the grilled conger eel, which is so delicious when grilled on the charcoal grill. The young people loved grilling meat and oysters with plenty of volume. We kept grilling seafood and eating, and before we knew it, we were even eating oden, which turned out to be all konnyaku! Having a BBQ with friends is really fun, with no work talk, just silly conversations. Everyone was in a great mood, getting a little tipsy. It was so much fun. Thanks for the meal!

If you come to the Toretore Market in Dejima, you definitely want to have a BBQ, so we had a BBQ under the tent!! Bringing your own food is completely prohibited, except for baby food and such. This is how you enjoy BBQ. You must remember your seat number. Rental is available at a place called Tetsumiya at the end. Here, you choose from the three courses mentioned earlier for how to enjoy it. The most cost-effective option is definitely Course B. It's 3000 yen including tax for 2 beers and a set of edamame and shichirin grill. It's much more worth it than Course A, which is 2500 yen for just the shichirin grill set. It would be even more fun to rent a server for groups or heavy drinkers. There is also a variety of drinks other than beer. Before going to order the shichirin grill, Dad got canned beer, and Mom bought rice balls for the daughter. We also bought a lot of oden - konjac, thick fried tofu, daikon radish, egg, fish cake, all completely to Mom's liking. Well, my wife and I have similar tastes, so it's okay. The broth is light but the flavor is strong and delicious. And then, the draft beer (I went to get this myself) and the shichirin grill arrived. Meat and vegetables, with another beer and tax included, 3000 yen is cheap considering the atmosphere!! In addition to the set, we also bought items sold at other shops. The eel is not letting go of the daughter, and there are shrimp, large shiitake mushrooms, and three scallops. For our small-eating family, this is enough. Unfortunately, the shop called Ototoya, which doubles as a tempura shop and fish shop, was closed. It was fun to choose tempura and fish to grill there. Let's start grilling right away, but the heat is quite weak, so we're adding more charcoal. Once we added the charcoal well, the heat was too strong. The difference in size of the shishito peppers in the vegetable set is amusing. When you lay the grilled items on the shichirin, it looks beautiful. The scallops opened nicely, but the second one... the world is not that kind. It seems I flipped it too soon. After finishing the second draft beer, I had another canned beer. I can use the beer mug as it is, so I transfer the beer to the mug. I bought some interesting-looking sausages, so let's grill them. They grilled nicely. The taste was simply delicious. After all is said and done, I'm full. BBQ with a moderate breeze and a lively atmosphere is fun. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal~♪

You can rent a charcoal grill and choose fish and shellfish at the market to enjoy. There are also other stalls selling takoyaki, yakisoba, and miso soup. Since it is charcoal-grilled, it's okay if your clothes smell a bit afterwards. I recommend going to a store with a lot of fish lined up and buying sazae, sanma, anago, and beer to enjoy at your seat. The anago was delicious! There are many places that serve grilled seafood, but anago might not be easy to find. When it's fresh and the skin is crispy, it's really tasty. The market is held only on weekends, so it might be a good idea for locals to come and eat. The seafood bowl shop at the back of the market is currently closed due to the impact of a typhoon.

It's getting warmer, so it's time for a beachside barbecue. We had one whole conger eel tempura, scallops, turban shells, Japanese carpet shells, octopus, eel, meat, and hormone for dessert. We also had canned strawberries, beer (Super Dry), and shochu (Kuro Kirishima). We ate and drank a lot, and this time we finished by 4 o'clock. Thank you for the feast!
