I visited around 12:00 on Sunday. I was seated immediately without any wait. There were tables and a counter, but I was seated at a table. I ordered the Mega Special Seafood Bowl for 1,580 yen + tax (extra 50 yen for extra rice). It had tuna, conger eel, scallops, shrimp, and more. I'm glad I chose the special one - the shrimp and scallops were delicious. Among seafood bowls in this price range in Osaka, I think this is the most delicious. I will visit again!

I visited the restaurant on a weekday evening in April at 6:00 PM. They offer sushi for takeout, but this time I was drawn to the seafood bowl and decided to eat it there. I ordered the following: Mega Seafood Bowl for 1,100 yen, Seafood Yukke Bowl for 858 yen, Draft Beer for 550 yen, and Glass Beer for 330 yen. They had a special campaign for the 5th anniversary in April, offering a Mega Seafood Bowl which was really huge and had a lot of fresh fish toppings, making it a great deal. It was delicious. The Yukke Bowl was also a steal at 780 yen! I was very satisfied with both dishes. Thank you for the meal.

Located inside Lucua, there is a popular takeout sushi place where you can buy sushi by the piece. There is usually a line of about 3 people whenever I think about buying some to eat at home. I decided to join the line as I wanted to buy a little something to eat. Lately, my husband has been trying to consume more protein, so he has been eating a lot of salmon. I wasn't sure how it would be in sushi form, but I decided to buy extra salmon. In total, I bought 12 pieces including salmon, negitoro, hamachi, and ikura, which cost 2,100 yen. I should have calculated the total as I bought each piece, but I didn't, so it ended up being more expensive than expected (lol). The cost performance was not great, but the sushi had a good volume and tasted fresh and delicious. I'm not a fan of mixed sushi plates because there are usually some types of fish I don't like, so being able to choose by the piece is great for this kind of purchase! I might stop by again just to buy salmon (^^)/ Thank you for the meal.

I had some time before the opening of the Phantom of the Opera, so I decided to grab a bite at the Kitchen Market in Lucua underground. I ended up choosing the sushi here. I'm not a fan of ikura, so I asked the staff if I could change the topping, and they said it was okay. I changed it to amaebi. It cost ¥880 for the sushi, and it was incredibly delicious. The value for money was great! I finished it in no time. Whenever I come to Osaka, I always end up coming here. ♥️

I had a set of sake, sashimi, and sushi at the eat-in area adjacent to the store. The sashimi and sushi were delicious, but the interior and seating were a bit cheap, which made the atmosphere somewhat lacking. ◆ Sake and Appetizer Set ¥1,000 tax included Today's recommendation: 3 pieces of fresh sashimi, 3 pieces of tuna sushi. Kitchen of the World Sake: Various kinds 60ml × 3 cups

Atmosphere... deliberately or unknowingly messy interior. The kitchen feels like a sushi factory. Cost performance... ★★☆☆☆ I was debating whether to get a few pieces of sushi for takeout, but there were quite a few options for sushi assortments, so I decided to order inside the restaurant. ◯ Natural Fish Assortment (¥580) Comes with 6 pieces of chef's choice for the day. The menu had a photo of what looked like tuna, so I decided to go with this! But when I ordered, 4 out of the 6 pieces were sea bream... I wished there was more variety to try. The taste was average. However, some pieces had quite thin slices of fish. Not a great cost performance. Inside the restaurant, regular single pieces of sushi come in sets of 2, so maybe it's better to choose from a selection for takeout. ◎ Announcement ◎ We also have an Instagram account!!! ———————————— Search for @gogogohan.jp【ごごごはん】❗️———————————— We post about delicious and cost-effective Osaka gourmet food every day!!! In November, we will be running three serializations almost simultaneously as part of our monthly project. The first two are "Seafood Showdown - Round 20" (focused on seafood bowls) and "Meaty Lunch Showdown - Round 20" (centered around hamburgers). In addition, starting on the 13th, we will also begin "2021 Ramen Showdown - Season 7". Throughout November, we will be focusing on these three topics. Seafood Showdown - Round 8: "Minato LUCUA Osaka Store - Fish and Seafood Sushi Izakaya Street". I ordered the Mega Seafood Bowl for 1000 yen (excluding tax).

Let's finish up and grab something to eat! I usually go for meat dishes at Barchika in Lucua underground, but today I feel like having something other than meat. Maybe some fish? When it comes to fish, sushi is the way to go. I actually prefer grilled fish set meals, but fish and seafood sushi it is! Minato, a fish and seafood sushi bar, is right next door to the tempting smell of meat. The interior has a counter and tables, and outside the shop, there are assorted sushi sets for takeout. I'll go for the assorted sushi set! There are various options available, and for tuna lovers, there's a set with just tuna. However, I'm not that big of a fan, so I prefer a variety of fish. The "Toyoryo Nigiri Sushi Assortment" for 1800 yen includes tuna (akami, chutoro, otoro), salmon, eel, shirako, shrimp, scallop, and tai. It's quite a luxurious assortment where you can compare different cuts of tuna! Even though I mentioned that I'm not a big fan of tuna, I was happy to try different parts. The salmon was fatty, and the shrimp was plump and fresh. I started craving warm soup halfway through, but I decided to skip it. I should have ordered it from the beginning... My stomach is full and satisfied now! Thank you for the meal. Minato Fish and Seafood Sushi Bar Lucua Osaka Branch 06-6147-3057 Osaka, Kita-ku, Umeda 3-1-3 Lucua B2F.

I was hungry and wandering around when I saw the words "Mega Serving" and was tempted to go in. I ended up ordering the Mega Serving for 1500 yen and the Yukke Don for 780 yen. The Yukke Don had a good amount of Gochujang sauce on it, and it was delicious with just the egg and sauce. The Mega Serving had about 5 different types of fish, like Thai and shrimp, on top of vinegar rice, so it had a nice texture and was tasty. It wasn't too crowded, maybe because I went at a different time, so it was a comfortable dining experience.

I recommend bringing home the assorted sushi platter (580 yen) and the 12-piece nigiri sushi set (1880 yen) where you can choose your favorite toppings. The price may vary depending on the toppings. I ordered 12 pieces with my favorite toppings like bluefin tuna, fatty tuna, seared salmon, and yellowtail. I enjoyed eating them at home with my wife, and we were both satisfied with the delicious taste. This chain restaurant is known for its reasonable prices, but the quality is great. We plan to visit again soon.

Recently, tuna cutting shows have become more common, and they are truly fascinating. There is both an entertainment aspect and the thrill of getting rare cuts of tuna. It's exciting to peek into a world that is not often seen. Tuna's appeal is not just limited to fatty tuna. Particularly with bluefin tuna or southern bluefin tuna, the lean meat is also incredibly delicious, and cuts like the cheek meat are also enticing. Pairing these rare cuts with Cabernet or Pinot Noir, salt, and garlic is truly wonderful.

I visited the restaurant in January 2020 for lunch. It is located in the food hall of Lucua. You can buy individual items and eat them while sitting on chairs in the food hall. It is very affordable. I chose sea urchin, salmon roe, and fatty tuna, all for under 1000 yen. I also got sparkling wine from a shop in the kitchen market. When I ate, the fatty tuna was so melty. The sea urchin and salmon roe were also delicious. I highly recommend it for when you want to eat affordably. Please note that due to the state of emergency declaration in Osaka, the entire Lucua will be closed from April 8th to May 6th.

I had lunch at this restaurant located in Kitchen & Market on the 2nd floor underground directly connected to JR Osaka Station. They offer a variety of sushi options for takeout as well as dine-in exclusive menu items. I ordered a seafood bowl for dine-in. The toppings included several kinds of seafood, but the portion was not very generous. The taste was average, nothing particularly outstanding. The miso soup that came with it had few ingredients and considering it costs 130 yen per serving, the overall value for money may not be great. Thank you for the meal! Some of the rice bowl dishes can be ordered in a half size, so it might be a good idea to visit for a light breakfast around the time of the restaurant's opening at 10 am.

I visited in August 2019. The place is located in the Kitchen Market on the basement 2 floor of Lucua. The Maguro sushi at Minato is especially delicious. Last time I ate in, but this time I took out and ate inside the Kitchen Market. You can buy takeout from one piece. The total for Otoro, Kamatoro, and Chutoro was 5 pieces for 1134 yen. It's cheap. The Kamatoro had a delicious, melt-in-your-mouth taste. I highly recommend it.

Located on the B2 floor directly connected to Osaka Station, this restaurant offers draft beer for 500 yen, salmon sashimi for 280 yen, half-size shrimp tempura donburi for 480 yen, red snapper nigiri for 580 yen, and miso soup for 130 yen. They prepare large fish in the store, ensuring freshness. They also have a tuna cutting show.

I have eaten at the Balchika in Lucua before, but I only walked around the Kitchen Market area. I didn't know this shop was here in the back. I visited during lunchtime. It was not crowded, maybe because it was a weekday. It seems like takeout is the main option. There is a counter and table seating for dining in. I found out later that you can also take items from the showcase outside and eat them inside the shop. I ordered the Assorted Sushi Platter for 1400 yen (excluding tax). The staff asked if I wanted wasabi in it or not. The platter included 10 pieces of nigiri and gunkan sushi, along with miso soup. The tea is like the powdered tea you find at conveyor belt sushi restaurants, and you have to add hot water yourself. As I tried the sushi rice... hmm? When I looked into the kitchen, I realized... I see, it's like conveyor belt sushi after all. The sushi doesn't have the rounded shape of hand-pressed sushi. They have a different approach. The sea urchin with alum was intense and harsh. The tuna was decent. Considering the price, it's reasonable.

I came back to the "Kitchen & Market" on the 2nd basement floor of Lucua Osaka. This time, I visited "Minato (Daiki Suisan)" in the Fresh Garden Area for the third time. I always look forward to the tuna cutting show held five times a day. The tuna bowl includes akami, otoro, chutoro, and more for 1,480 yen (excluding tax). The difference between otoro and kamatoro was clearer this time, and kamatoro was delicious! Kamatoro is slightly more expensive than otoro, but it's worth it for its rich flavor. The rare cut from the tail part of the tuna was also very tasty. Daiki Suisan is the best! Looking forward to visiting again. Thank you for the meal!

This restaurant is located in the LUCUA FOOD HALL on the second basement floor of Osaka Station. They usually sell tuna sashimi and sushi, but there is a dining space at the back. They are currently offering special menus to celebrate their first anniversary. This "Minato no Machi" shop is a branch of Daiki Suisan, a famous revolving sushi chain in Kansai. I didn't know that Daiki Suisan's revolving sushi shops are only in Kansai. The main store of Minato no Machi is in Sakai, Osaka, and it is an Osaka-based shop, so I hope they continue to do well in the future. Originally a tuna wholesaler, the company is good at sourcing tuna. I tried the limited-time offer "Megamori Donburi with Fresh Tuna" (4/1-4/28) along with other sushi and seafood bowls available. This menu is limited in quantity for the day, and it was sold out after I ordered. The Megamori Donburi here has the same amount of rice but double the amount of ingredients. It's a good menu for those who love tuna more than rice like me. The main dish arrived about 7 minutes after ordering. I tried it lightly with dashi soy sauce, and as it is written "fresh," the texture of the thawed tuna is completely different from frozen ones. The flesh is very tender with a gentle texture. However, there is hardly any unique tuna smell, so it feels like eating something different. When I was a child, I liked the smell of tuna and the sweetness of the sauce when eating tuna sushi with raw tuna. However, the tuna here is fine with just dashi soy sauce. The freshness of the tuna nowadays is completely different from the past, so the tuna served here is probably the original taste. By the way, eating too much fatty tuna can make you feel sick, but it wasn't the case here. The reason is probably the freshness of the tuna and the good balance of lean meat in it (^-^) The "Megamori Donburi with Fresh Tuna" is only available until the end of this month, so if you want to try it, please do so soon (^-^) Next, I want to try the seafood bowl♪
