A long-established ramen shop known for selling 3000 dumplings a day. They are only open at night. If you go around 6 pm on a weekday, the place is already bustling. They have counter seats, making it easy for solo diners. [Order] - Sapporo Lager beer large bottle (¥650) - Gyoza (¥400) - Chinese cabbage kimchi (¥290) - Grilled pork and bamboo shoot assortment small (¥550) - Topped with green onions (¥250) - Large rice (¥350) Total ¥2490 It takes about 10-15 minutes for the dumplings to be grilled. In the meantime, enjoy the grilled pork and kimchi with some Akaboshi beer. The grilled pork is tender and the sauce is delicious. The crunchy texture of the bamboo shoots adds a nice touch. When the dumplings arrive, they are perfectly grilled with thick and chewy skin, filled with the aroma of garlic and chives. The beer disappears in no time. For the finale, I was torn between miso ramen and decided to go simple with a large bowl of rice since there was grilled pork left. The rice portion was generous, and I enjoyed it heartily with the grilled pork on top. In conclusion, I usually eat dumplings with vinegar and pepper, but it would have been better with plenty of homemade chili oil. Next time, I want to try the fried rice as well. When I lived in Osaka, I used to go about once a month, but I haven't been since I moved to Tokyo. Every time I go back home, I think about going to eat, but it hasn't happened for various reasons. This time, I ate for the first time in 6 years, and I could eat as many as I wanted. Before, I used to order ramen or fried rice, but this time I was completely satisfied with just the gyoza!

I saw this place on Meets Regional before and had been wanting to come here for a while. After the live at Kyocera Dome, I visited and ordered 3 servings of dumplings, miso ramen, and fried rice. The dumplings were big and incredibly delicious, paired with a great beer. The miso ramen had a nostalgic taste from the Showa era and was so tasty. The fried rice was also very filling and had a generous portion. I also bought 6 servings of raw dumplings to take home. Overall, it was a satisfying meal!

Based on a friend's recommendation, my wife, child, and I visited this place. The interior was spacious and easy to enter. I tried the miso ramen, which had a classic taste without any unnecessary extras, making it delicious. The toppings like roasted pork and seasoned egg blended well with the soup, creating a harmonious and flavorful dish.

Gyoza preferences can vary, but the gyoza here has thick skin and is big, perfect for those who like gyoza with a strong punch. Personally, I enjoy both thick-skinned, large gyoza and small, thin-skinned gyoza. When I visited before, I ordered gyoza and ramen, but the ramen was disappointingly average, not worth ordering. The downside is that the side menu is not extensive, so when I wanted to drink beer, I had to order the chashu plate as there were no other suitable options. The chashu comes in two types - belly and (probably) loin, which is nice. However, sometimes the staff may not understand Japanese, and even when I pointed to order my drink, they still brought the wrong one (laughs). If the ramen was better, it would be more appealing, but it's a shame!

I arrived at the restaurant on Sunday at 6:30 pm and there were 4 people waiting ahead of me. I ordered 3 servings of dumplings and a small platter of roasted pork and bamboo shoots. The platter arrived in about 5 minutes, but I had to wait about 15 minutes for the dumplings as they seemed to be cooked all at once. The roasted pork was tender and delicious, but the sauce was a bit too salty for my taste. The bamboo shoots were nothing special, just tasty. The dumplings were filled generously but the filling was a bit bland for me, so I felt the need to dip them in sauce. Overall, the food was good but I probably won't be coming back again. Thank you for the meal.

I finally had a chance to stop by after a while due to bad timing. It seems like things are starting to calm down now, so I decided to visit. I didn't have to wait long, just a bit for them to clear a table, and I sat at the counter. I ordered one serving of gyoza, a small portion of chashu, and yakimeshi. I started with the gyoza, which was as hot and delicious as always. The crispy side was especially tasty. Then I moved on to the yakimeshi after the chashu. The yakimeshi was cooked perfectly as usual. It was fluffy and flavorful. I just realized that there was no soup this time, but the amount of yakimeshi was still quite a lot. Maybe next time I'll go for the smaller portion. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

<October '22, several times> As a memo... This is in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please note that the information may have changed since then. I visited after seeing it on TV. Parked at a nearby coin parking lot. It was a little before 9 PM, so the number of customers was moderate. Self-service for water. I ordered the following: - Sapporo-ya Gyoza (¥400) 3 servings - Miso Ramen (¥890) 2 servings - Yakimeshi (¥700) The gyoza lived up to its reputation. The balance of the skin and filling was good, and I liked the substantial volume. The portion of the fried rice was also impressive. I wish there was a branch nearby. Looking forward to the next visit.

Today I had some business in Bentencho, Minato-ku, and I came to the original Sapporo-ya after a long time! Today I got takeout, but this place is known for their delicious gyoza, grilled pork, fried rice, and more! It's a local favorite and I've been coming here since I was in my teens. If you like big gyoza, you should definitely check it out!

The town Chinese restaurant recommended by the beautician caught my interest. I don't have the energy to cook today, so I'll eat here and head home. [Order] Fried rice ¥680 Gyoza (dumplings) ¥400 The gyoza tasted different from what I imagined, but they were big and satisfying. The fried rice was also delicious. The soup was just okay. It seems popular enough to have a wait, and I could tell that it is loved by the locals. Thank you for the meal.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, I visited this restaurant for the first time in a while. Previously, we couldn't make reservations and were seated in the order we arrived, but this time we were able to make a reservation for 2 people starting at 6:30 pm. We ordered 2 servings of gyoza, small portion of yakibuta menma, and large portion of yakimeshi. Unfortunately, the grilling was too strong compared to before... I understand why there is no longer a line...

The restaurant is popular for its dumplings. Many people were coming in for takeout, ordering 2 servings of dumplings, half-size of char siu ramen, and a bottle of beer. The dumplings were unexpectedly large, so the customer asked to change the order to just one serving. The char siu ramen was also not really half-size, so these two dishes alone were enough for a full meal. The dumplings had a thick skin with a meaty filling, slightly sweet, which goes well with rice more than beer. The char siu ramen was recommended to order if you plan to drink beer. Unfortunately, the customer couldn't go to the next planned restaurant due to the large portion size.

I visited a popular restaurant called "Ganso Sapporo-ya" in the Bentencho area of Osaka, which was established in 1964 and has been in business for 57 years. The menu consists of ramen, gyoza, fried rice, and a combination of grilled pork and bamboo shoots. I tried their famous gyoza and miso ramen. The grilled gyoza, which sells 3000 pieces a day, is a large and thick-skinned dumpling with a crispy and chewy texture, filled with plenty of ingredients. It was delicious when paired with beer. The miso ramen had thick and chewy noodles, topped with half a boiled egg, chashu pork, menma bamboo shoots, and other simple ingredients. The portion was generous and satisfying. The restaurant seemed popular among locals, with many regular customers enjoying gyoza and a combination of grilled pork and bamboo shoots with bottled beer.

☆ Casual Dinner Trip during Work Break in Bentencho! This restaurant is famous for its gyoza, which I have only tried through takeout before, but this time I decided to dine in. As the name suggests, I ordered the miso ramen and gyoza! Order: Miso Ramen 840 yen + Gyoza 400 yen Total 1240 yen. "Miso Ramen" - The soup is made from a pork bone base broth with the shop's original miso blend. It is rich and flavorful, coating the noodles nicely. The noodles are thin curly noodles that complement the miso soup well. The char siu (roast pork) is a popular item here, with a traditional flavor and a tender texture. The bamboo shoots are standard and tasty, while the half-cooked egg has a good balance and texture. "Gyoza" - This is the most popular item in the restaurant. It is simple yet well-balanced, with ingredients like garlic, minced meat, onions, and cabbage. The skin is crispy on the bottom and chewy on top. The chili oil on the table is quite spicy, so be careful if you're sensitive to spice. Overall, everything was delicious, but the prices were a bit high. I think around 1000 yen for a bowl of ramen and a serving of gyoza would be more reasonable.

Today I visited a restaurant in Osaka, but it felt like I was in Sapporo! I went by car, so I didn't mind waiting a bit. After about 10 minutes, we were seated. The counter was full, so we sat at a table with some distance between us. We ordered gyoza, a small plate of chashu, and fried rice. The chashu was thick and flavorful, with a tasty soy sauce marinade. Each piece was satisfying to eat. The gyoza arrived next, so be careful not to burn yourself as they are piping hot! Lastly, we had the fried rice, which was as generous in portion as always. The set soup with a hint of sourness was a nice touch. I left the restaurant feeling full and satisfied. (2020/07/22 Update)

On this day, I walked from Osaka Dome City to Bentencho to see the city's atmosphere. I decided to line up at a famous gyoza restaurant. There were two people ahead of me in line, but after that, a Vietnamese group lined up behind me. I waited for about 20 minutes without being called at all, while more and more people were leaving without being seated. Eventually, new customers came in and were greeted with "Welcome! How many people?" I was like, "Hey, what about us? Can't you see us? We've been waiting!" Finally, we were seated at an available table. I ordered one serving of gyoza and a beer. I also ordered another serving of gyoza, menma (seasoned bamboo shoots), char siu (roast pork), and green onions to go. The gyoza was piping hot and delicious. It was worth the wait. However, when I took a bite, I realized it was just average. I was disappointed because I had lined up for it. The gyoza sauce was tasty though. The menma was poorly made, with hard parts that felt uncomfortable in the mouth. The char siu had no fatty parts, it was more like eating chicken breast or ham. The green onions added some flavor to it. Overall, the gyoza with beer was great. But I felt like you can find gyoza of this level anywhere without having to wait in line. Maybe the restaurant is actually famous for its ramen. I love miso ramen, so maybe I'll try "Sapporo-ya" next time. Thank you for the meal.

I came to a restaurant in Bentencho, Sapporo! Oh, the store looks so clean now - it used to have a more traditional feel. This place is known for its delicious dumplings! I ordered two servings of dumplings. After a short wait, they arrived - big dumplings with thick skins. I took a bite of the hot dumpling - oh... the excitement I used to feel is gone. Did the taste change? I feel a little disappointed. The fried rice also seems to have a different taste.

I peeked inside the super-sized "Akamaru Shokudo" from outside and was overwhelmed by the volume, so I ran away. This place is famous for its diagonal dumplings. I ordered two servings of dumplings and fried rice. Many customers were coming in for takeout dumplings. The fried rice was being automatically rotated in a pot, which was quite interesting, so I couldn't help but take a video. The dumplings were large, with thick and chewy skin, and crispy on the outside. The fried rice was a bit bland. The best way to eat is to alternate between dumplings and fried rice.

☆彡I heard a rumor that the undiscovered restaurant I was curious about serves delicious dumplings((・ω・))キニナルー○Sapporo Yano Gyoza (400 yen per serving x 5)○Menma, small (340 yen)○Special Kimchi (290 yen)The dumplings arrived with a simple sauce, chili-infused spicy oil, and a generous portion. Each dumpling was large with a good amount of filling, not too oily, and had a nice aroma when freshly cooked. They seemed like they would go well with beer↑(*゚∀゚*)↑ウヒョーThe skin was chewy due to the high proportion of carbohydrates, and some parts were crispy from being cooked. The dough seemed to absorb the moisture and become chewy, while also absorbing the flavor of the pork filling. Despite the large appearance, the filling was actually quite small, but the chewy skin made up for it. These dumplings can stand alone as a satisfying dish, but it is recommended to enjoy them with other dishes if dining with multiple people(^ω^*)I'm also on Instagram @ginjirou.star

After watching a live band performance, I had the opportunity to stop by Bentencho. I always decide on Chinese food after a live show or festival! There was a wait for about 5-6 people, so it must be popular. I ordered fried rice, dumplings, and beer. Just looking at the menu already makes it seem delicious. The dumplings here are especially tasty. The thick skin with a good balance of meat and vegetables. When you bite into the chewy skin, you are greeted by a juicy filling. Delicious. And let's not underestimate the fried rice. It's like the ultimate version of regular fried rice. It's also exquisite. The quality is high. If this place wasn't in Bentencho, I would definitely be a repeat customer. I hope they open a second location!笑

From Bentencho Station, about a 10-minute walk away, this local restaurant is always packed with customers. When I visited around 7pm, there were already 2 groups waiting inside. The place is thriving. Their signature dish is the Sapporo-style gyoza, served with grilled pork and bamboo shoots (small portion). The gyoza has a chewy skin, flavorful filling with plenty of juices, and perfectly grilled. It's delicious.
